  1. A beautiful, sweet, vanilla-rose. The pink rose/rosehips is a nice combination because the rosehips add a bit of a dry/dusty feel to make it more interesting. It was very sweet at the beginning but it tones down a little and the rose becomes fresher in the dry down. I feel like I get a little boost of the headiness of jasmine without ever actually smelling it. Unless you really amp jasmine, I think this is a safe blend for people who just don't care for it. Overall it's a bright, innocent rose scent.

  2. In the bottle: Mostly leather, maybe getting some copal, too. The leather is definitely light and 'gleaming'. There is a little smokiness.

On wet: Similar to in the bottle only stronger. The leather definitely smells fresh, but not in a chemical sort of way. Just like new, fresh leather. There is also a distinct sweetness from the resin in this stage. The scent gets a little smokier as it dries.

Dry: The leather and copal fade back. The tobacco comes out, it's quite light and very dry to me. The smoked vanilla sweetens the blend beautifully. This stage is beautiful, though it is much lighter than I had expected but it does linger persistently. Really happy I have a bottle!

(A million thanks to my fairy for getting this to me!)

  3. In the imp: tart and herbal. Getting mostly lemongrass and frankincense

Wet: Frankincense often smells sharp and almost citrus-like at first and that's the case here. It's very tart.

Dry: The frankincense warms up and is sweet and smoky. Teak is a very 'slick' smelling wood to me, and I am getting faint hints of plum and lemongrass with a stronger tone of honeysuckle over it.

Overall: a very fresh incense-y spring scent but not particularly me!

  4. While on the quest of the rose of my life I have eyed Zombi warily. Dirt never sounded that appealing as scent to me (even though I love the earthiness of scents like dead leaves and patchouli). But I have been frimped this so I gave it a go!

In the imp: moss and earth. Damp, green, and dirty.

Wet: Still damp and earthy, but with a soft english rose in the background.

Dry: A distinctly dry rose scent up front. Soft and not sweet, as others have stated. There is something green too but not as damp as before, I'm thinking the rose leaf and moss combo. I can also faintly get the dirt underneath but it's actually very pleasant.

Overall: This is something I'd see myself wearing in the fall, but I do very much like this scent. I am unsure if I need a bottle as of yet, but I'm very much leaning towards it! This has renewed my fervent quest for roses.

  5. The frankincense starts of really sharp for me. The wet stage is very herbal and sharp. Dry the gardenia takes center stage, a very creamy floral scent. The other notes are so well blended that I have a hard time picking them out but they really compliment the gardenia.

  6. I remember back in 2009 (with a very immature nose mind you) I sniffed this and all I could think was "Cobwebs." I didn't really like most resins like frankincense at the time, they smelled musty and sweet in an off way to me. However, I now love this scent. It's soft, warm, and spicy and I have grown to love resins. The cedar is not as pronounced in this to me as it seems to for others. I get a lot of citric-leaning frankincense and cedar in the background.

  7. A beautiful lily scent, definitely more assertive than Black Lily. I agree I get a little whiff of orange but the peel rather than the whole fruit, there isn't a juicy aspect. To me this is more of a summer lily where Black Lily is a spring lily.

  8. Smelling it in the bottle I was worried it might be too sweet but it is perfect! Sweet red musk at center stage, and the honey and cardamom add a nice body to the scent. A sexy, warm fragrance but also light enough for summer wear for me.
