Plum can be overwhelming for me, but I actually wouldn't have guessed this was plum till I read the description. This is a fruity floral as opposed to a floraly fruit. The plum is subtle and a bit juicy, but delicate - the orchid is the most distinct of the florals, but that's reaching because overall it is a lovely blend - perfect for late spring and early summer, not heady, but still distinctly white/purple flowers.

I recently did a death match between Zombi and Deep in Earth. Zombi won, but it was a very hard decision!

Red apple, red apple, red apple. That's all I get. If I bury my nose in it, I can, faintly, detect some of the other notes. I have noticed this with a lot of red apples, so I think this is more my skin amps the hell out of red apple than the blend itself.

First of all, I love how dark this oil is - it is very much a cocoa color. Wet this was very cocoa with a touch of powder and teakwood and spices in the background, but as it dries, it becomes less foody and more complex, like can't even describe, it changes a bit each time I huff, some notes more prominent than others, but I can't stop huffing which is usually a good sign.

Oh, wow, this does smell like a lot of the berry herbal tea bags that I have, and yes, there is, lurking in the background in secret, a dark/poison aspect. The throw is okay, bordering on weak, as it seems most tea scents are on me, but overall this is very true to the theme.

This reminds me a lot of the rose in Somewhere or Other and Roses, Pearls, Diamonds, it's a pink rose and there's even a slight fizziness that reminds me of sugar crystals. It verges at times on going plasticky like Love from the Pickman gallery does, but mostly stays a sweet and delicate pink rose.

I had to try this because it sounded like such a fascinating blend, but it ends mostly orange and oakmoss on me which results in something sour on me. Just did not work for me.

This has a lot of death notes for me, but then again every single CP I have tried thus far has been extraordinary, even if not for me. This falls into the latter for me. Despite loving the black patch in Insects, I even bought a bottle, it's not quite working on me for this, it's a little too patch which I think might have something to do with the vetiver which is often a death note for me. As it dries, the patch becomes less prominent and the plummy notes really come out to play.

While I really, really liked The Bride, I got my hands on a decant of Orgy with Nine Women which has Champaca magnolia, bourbon vanilla, blonde tobacco, and white honey. And oh, I am in loooove with this one.

Wait wait, so you found roller balls that fit right onto your BPAL bottles?? And the cap still fits and everything?? The rollerballs fit right into the BPAL bottles, however you have to use their cap as the regular cap is not deep enough. I got mine from GotOilSupplies and they work great! I have used the bottles for my other essential oils. I went back onto the site and found these. They should work without having to buy the entire bottle. That is so cool, thanks for the info! I love the idea of a roller bottle, but am way too attached to my BPAL bottles to switch over. My only concern would be the metal, I have heard folks mention metal can react with certain oils/scents?? Someone did mention that in another post so I did some research..... When working with essential oils stainless steel is preferred as it does not react with the oils. Most companies that supply essential oils will also often sell the bottles with stainless steel rollers, so I'm pretty sure if there was a problem with interaction they would be the first to tell you to avoid it. Apparently, aluminum is the metal to be avoided. Plastic rollers are discouraged as some oils (in particular citrus oils) will eventually eat away at the plastic and contaminate your oil, and prevent the roller from rolling smoothly. Keep in mind that the above applies to essential oils and not necessarily to BPAL, but I'm assuming that most of what goes into our beloved scents is the same. So my roller balls arrived awhile ago, and let me tell you I am loving them! They work particularly well for fainter scents, and are overall just quicker to apply. My one grip is the caps for them are rather large and not particularly attractive, but I don't mind considering how much better and quicker they apply scent on me.

In the imp, this smelled like a perfect winter snow-citrus scent, but on, it quickly overwhelmed me like many of the BPAL winter scents with pine, evergreen and the like do. I know those notes are not listed, but it was so strong, I had to wash it off. There was just a touch of vanilla cream, and it tried to round it out into this vanilla-mint snow scent, but ultimately the citrus and snow-pineness overwhelmed me.

Considering how much I like red wine, I have yet to find something from the lab with the red wine note that works for me. This almost does with the earthiness in it, but the red wine is just to much berry sweetness for me.

Hello gorgeous! On me this is largely honey and vanilla with the tobacco and champaca magnolia in the background to ground this and keep it from being a straight-up foodie scent. The tobacco comes more into play as it dries, and I realize I need more blonde tobacco in my life.

Right now, it is incredibly humid in Texas. I just feel sticky, and this swap is perfect timing. It's clean and powdery, but I actually wouldn't call this laundered - it is hints of that, but it still has a floral springtime quality to it that softens it.

I cannot believe no one has recommended Black Annis - when I reviewed it, I think I mentioned that this is the scent of the type of woman who consumes her mate after copulation. For me, it is the musk that adds a femme fatale element to it. It has all the notes I should hate (anise and vetiver), but I really like it for certain occasions.

Oh, this is fun! From afar, it smells like a great foodie scent, then up close, I can smell zombi in it. I love zombi and holiday foodies, so this is a keeper that surprisingly works!

There's definitely a tangy, fizziness to this when first applied that I found particularly off-putting. After, it settled down, it became a more familiar rose, and like killersandliars said, it has a wild rose quality to it that seems fitting.

Oh, this is pretty - dusty and antique like many have said. The osmanthus gives it a slightly fruity tinge that I am not sure that it works with the sandalwood, but the dry leaves and rose are really pretty - I wish it had just been those notes.

Lately, I have, inadvertently, tried several cognac, tobacco, pumpkiny scents, and it is right up my wheel house! I really like the white sandalwood in this one, it makes it a little less foodie. Delicious.

Incense and resin, not really for me, but so glad I got to try the infamous Voodoo Queen.

Another lovely rose and soil for my collection, but this one has an autumnal quality to it - a touch of spicy, dead leaves, but then that morphs into cedarwood which just isn't my cuppa.

A deceptively sweet orchid vanille with a faint trace of stephanotis. Oh, pretty purple flowers with vanilla, and a touch of mint. This is like my dream color palette for my kitchen - purples, greens, and warm brown hues.

Considering that this has almond and clove which are usually death notes for me, this isn't a total failure on me, but clove is like cinnamon on me as it tends to burn. This one doesn't irritate my skin, but it does make my nose tingle when I huff it.

Oh, isn't this sexy? I have many roses, but most of them are softer, more respectable types. This one is not respectable at all, in fact, she flagrantly mocks respectability. I like her.

Seems, I am unintentionally on a jasmine testing run today. But, this is a well-balanced jasmine that doesn't overwhelm the rest of the notes. It's still a heady white floral, but lighter with some wispy pink.
