In bottle: palest yellow, thin liquid. Fruity (pear?peach?) sweet. Wet: Fruitiness continues, gets touch of spicy floral then opens up with some very airy topnotes. I’ll be very interested to see where this goes. It’s making my mouth water. Dry: stays fruity and open but warms up a bit. Fully dry get a buttery spicy musk as background to the fruit and crisply airy notes on top while the pear begins to weaken. It’s a fun scent to track. Later: fruit leaves completely leaving a warm soft spicy musk undernote to the occasional whiff of ozone. Summary: Very pleasant, but not obsessively so (yet?) will finish imp and see what that leads to.

In bottle: florals and a bit of something citrusy Wet: honeysuckle with an edge of ozone. As long as the edge doesn’t get too strong it’ll be lovely (other wise it will be as good at doing in bugs as its namesake). Dry: Juicy honeysuckle on a crisp spring night. Very nice. It makes me feel very feminine but not in a little girl way (for all it reminds me of a perfume I had when I was very little.) Later: The flower fades to a ghost as night comes leaving sweet spring air. Summary: Lovely – definitely one to consider for a bottle.

Summary: was lovely and cozy until the patchouli hit. Sigh. Off to trade it goes.

In bottle: yellow liquid, bright and sharp Wet: mentholly-minty-herbal – very sinus clearing (a good thing today) Not getting any pine (which is good -evergreens often do in my sinuses rather than clear them). Dry: huh, most of the minty herbal is gone replaced with a sweet-tart floral-fruit and very unified scent. Later: sweet floral/berries have now turned light and airy - I like this phase a lot, and it's stuck around for over eight hours, much to my surprise. Summary: I’m really liking this one – it leaves me feeling very open and very centered simultaneously. I may have to hunt for a big bottle. (I knew there was a reason I’d been avoiding LE’s...)

In bottle: bright brown (both color and scent) Wet: I’m mostly getting frankincense with a tiny bit of mellower woody backing. Dry: the same – but not surprising as my skin really amps frankincense Later: yup light, sweet frankincense, some dry airy notes have appeared around hour 4 (which is a darn odd time for top notes to show but there you have it - it must be more woods). 9 hours in the airy notes have taken over with just a sweet remainder of the incense. It gives the feel of going from a church seeing daily use to a ruin. Summary: Nice light incense-y scent. Not quite exciting enough to make me work hard to find more (if it had been as dry on me as on others then I'd probably be more excited), but if more happens across my path I’ll happily use it.

Summary: May I have some more please? Adult, sophisticated, powerful scent that lasts and lasts and lasts. Of all the Voodoo oils I've tried this is the one I've found most pleasant to wear and most making me feel like I'd expect with it. Unfortunately I am lacking in guys to test it's more mystical side on. In bottle: Pinkish red, medium thick oil, dragon’s blood and light florals. Wet: light sweet florals backed by dragon’s blood and maybe something musky. Very pleasant (and it smells like it’s going to be a very durable scent). Dry: Something dry overlays it all. Later: lasting VERY well (can still smell it clearly on my wrist 12 hours later) dry underlayer, juicy dragon's blood in the middle, jasmine/ylang ylang floral on top. blends nicely, no bug spray, no powder.

Rosewood and chamomile with bergamot, violet, red sandalwood, primrose and Arabian musk. In bottle: yellow medium liquid, sweet citrus and florals Wet: undefined, non-foody sweetness with something dry underneath. Very nice! Dry: The dry underneath comes out, but the sweetness remains. I like it a lot and hope it stays. Later: goes faint very rapidly. Summary: I need to try again more heavily. If I can’t make it work with more layers or with a locket I’ll trade what’s left despite really liking the scent

In bottle: medium yellow oil, candied florals Wet: some of the sweetness is replaced my more complex floral notes and an underlying dry something Dry: unifies some as it dries, but mostly stays similar to wet. Later: 4 hours later some of the sweetness is back and is perfectly blended with the non-powdery floral notes. At ten hours much the same as at 4 - it’s lasting much better than most similar florals I’ve tried and I’m liking it a lot. Summary: Lovely sweet, feminine floral with good staying power. Will definitely be considering a big bottle of this one.

In bottle: thick rich brown liquid, sweet spicy cola-ish scent Wet: reminds me a bit of Love Me but without the headache-inducing patchouli (hurray!) and some other spiciness added. Dry: Goes very dry and incense-y and loses all sweetness. Later: 4 hours in it’s sweetened up a bit again and I’m getting some of the salty tastes I was with lurid. Unfortunately (?) no kick to the libido noticeable in me. Summary: By itself it’s a bit too bitter and incense-y for me to be most interested (i.e. not a big bottle, but I'll enjoy the imp) but I’m now really curious about how it layers with something like Blood Rose that I find too purely sweet. If they stayed in balance that would be close to one of my sent ideals and I'd happily order big bottles of both.

In bottle: light gold oil, bright sharp citrus and florals Wet: stays very similar to the bottle but blending into a single unified note. A real eye-opener :-) Dry: still sharp ozone but florals have retreated and some bright light green herbals have shown up. I suspect that some folks would complain of it smelling a bit like bug spray, but to me it more nearly smells clean. Later: at 4 hours it’s a fainter version of the initial drydown and had lost all bug spray overtones. Very nice. And the base of it still lingers even at 14 hours after a shower. Summary: Excellent, lasting, light scent. It will certainly be in the running for a big bottle.

In bottle: orangy pink, soapy Wet: wet soap but beginning to resolve into interesting scents. Can smell some dragon’s blood and some florals. Dry: loses soapiness (hurray!) and becomes lovely dry sweet scent with depth and complexity but without being too heavy. Not getting anything directly identifiable as black currant, but it’s probably the cause of the sweetness. Weirdly, I also end up tasting metallic salts. It's not unpleasant, just odd. Later: 4 hours in it smells almost like a drier less sweet version of frankincense (still with a flavor of salts). It’s become a very unified scent, and quite distinct without being unpleasantly in your face. There is a very understated, grown-up , feminine power to it. At 14 hours there is final lingering sweetness which may be the currant. Summary: Oh, I like this one a lot. I think it may have to go on my big bottle list.

In bottle: sweet, a bit resiny and clean. Wet: the more complex parts of dragon’s blood start to show up over the sweet and contrast nicely with the clean Dry: huh, the sweet has faded almost completely, leaving a resiny spiciness and the clean has morphed into dried salt water notes like sea spray on the jacket you wore sailing yesterday. It’s a turned into a rather dry scent. Later: it keeps morphing. The dried sea spray has faded but not gone away and the dragon’s blood is back in its full variety – sweet spicy resin with a tiny bit of juicy cherry. I quite like this dry down. Summary: much less sweet than Blood Rose (this is a good thing) and very interesting (and rewarding to intermittent sniffing). I’ll definitely finish the imp and contemplate a big bottle.

In bottle: bright and clean and just a touch of sweet Wet: much like the bottle Dry: sweetness is resolving into florals of a rather nose-tingly sort. Later: mildly sweet faint white floral, doesn’t get powdery. Summary: I like this one and will certainly keep this imp and any others that come my way. I’m not sure it’s distinctive enough to make me want a bottle.

The Lovely. She is the Muse of mimicry, and inspires both erotic and romantic poetry. She is crowned in roses, holding a lyre. Her scent inspires creative expressions of love and lust: a crush of roses with sweet pea, myrrh, ylang ylang, orris and stephanotis. In bottle: Very faint sweetness Wet: sweet but with some sharp florals coming up and orris under it all. Dry: the sweet (pea?) is still there but rather muddy florals are taking it over. Later: becomes powdery and fades by three hours. Summary: Not bad but not something that really catches me. Will probably trade.
-
In bottle: Yellow, somewhat thick Citrus with something calmer underneath Wet: Still mostly citrus but the florals (non- nose-tingling ones so far) start to play and the almond and the sandalwood make for nice smooth base. Dry: the orange stays on top and the rest for a nice solid base, including the spices that had been in hiding. Literally makes my mouth water. Much brighter and clearer than I expected. If it stays like this it may go on the bottle the list (much to my surprise). Later: faint but still there and relatively balanced (minus the orange) 6 hours later. Stays crisp, not powdery. Bright clear, sweet, spicy citrus. Definitely will keep and consider a big bottle.

In bottle: Sweet and clean (more floral than anything else but not terribly so), but not terribly soapy to me. Wet: Still sweet and clean, getting some floral complexity (and tasting slightly bitter in the back of my throat). My sinuses are considering rebelling but haven’t yet. Dry: Less sweet, but even cleaner with an open, airy feeling. Sinuses seem to be ok, buy now eyes aren’t sure (however, only when my nose is up to my wrist so it would probably be fine when not doing in depth sniffing, and the first touch of water seems to dispel that without otherwise disrupting the scent). I can see how, magick aside, this could be a very attractive scent. Later: gets faint after about three hours but remains pleasant and fresh. Summary: I can see how, magick aside, this could be a very attractive scent. I’ll definitely keep the imp for the moment.

In bottle: bubblegum. Wet: fruity bubblegum with a background of herbs Dry: definitely bubblegum Later: Turns into nicely sharp fuitiness, but is very faint at two hours. Summary: I like the mature scent but need to try it with a scent locket or with slathered and see if it lasts better.
-
In bottle: Smoky rum and vanilla Wet: Smokey rum and vanilla into which something lighter and fruity has been tossed. Dry: Lovely smokey sweetness. However for me it is absolutely sinus clogging and I am washing it off. Too bad because it’s lovely warm mellow scent that I’d otherwise enjoy at least the imp. Summary: my nose says yes, my sinuses scream NO!!! The sinuses win and I’m sticking it in the to trade pile.

Loved the way it smelled until the black patchouli hit (and so did the inescapable headache). java script:emoticon('', 'smid_14') Off to the trade pile.
-
In bottle: floral sweetness with a nice woody edge. Wet: the floral sweetness, the edge becomes a warm peppery dryness which I can feel in the back of throat and reminds me of certain curries. Dry: stays sharp clean floral but makes my sinuses unhappy. java script:emoticon('', 'smid_1') Later: fades to faint sharpness within three and a half hours. Summary: I like the scent but given the sinus issues it’s a trade.
-
In bottle: Ambery vanilla sweetness, with a hint of fruit and something else Wet: amber, vanilla a floral that must be heliotrope but not much in the way of fruit. Very warm and sunny. Dry: amber floral, fruit sweet not powder, very similar to something else that I’m not placing today. (my brain is too fuzzy to process all this new scent info well, I suspect.) Later: amber floral, sweet not powder, very similar to something else. Still a ghost on my wrist 12 hours later. Oh figured out it's probably heliotrope that was the mystery note. Summary: Not bad but I’m not sure about long term prospects- I think I'd have liked it better if the fruit was a bit more present. Will hold onto the imp for now.
-
In bottle: Fresh cut granny smith apples… Wet: still get the apples but an unfamiliar floral too and some light sprinkles of spice. Nicely crisp. Dry: losing some of the sharpness but not all, fading all around. I’m still not smelling anything that smells like any lavender I know. Later: faint but lasting and staying true to form. Isn’t getting powdery :-) Summary: nice but a bit to rapid in the fading and not really a “me” sort of scent. I do like the clarity of it, though, and it would make a very nice work scent. Will keep the imp but probably won’t order a big bottle.
-
In bottle: thick golden sunlight Sweet, sweet amber and some spiciness (but not any cooking spices I’m spotting, something else, higher in the nose), maybe something a bit grassy. Wet: much like the bottle but the notes spread out a bit. Smells a bit like sweet cat (as much as my allergenic nose could tell what that smells like. Maybe a touch of honey too. Dry: spices up nicely and blends into one smooth golden glow. Not as strong as I was expecting Later: fades more than I would expect but stays true while it does so. Summary: Luckily, unlike real lions which I’m even more allergic to than house cats (yes, I do know this from experience) I’m not at all allergic to this, however it doesn’t have have the kind of staying power I like. Will probably end up trading.

Wet: sweetly green floral (jasmine/lily of the valley-ish on me), vetiver doesn’t show up by itself but I think is keeping it from being too mellow and rounded. Lovely and fresh so far it’s excellent and not nearly as masculine as some of the review lead me to fear. If it continues as is it will be in the running for a “wear with pretty dresses” scent for me. Dry: The floral (and its greenness) recede into the background leaving a sweetish woody something with an edge (I guess the vetiver is lurking around the edges still) and maybe the tiniest bit of leather in the way back. Nice, clean, get-something-done sort of scent. I can tell it would be nice on a guy, but I’m perfectly content to wear it myself Later: eventually the vetiver and leather win out but the moderating sweetness lurks in the background. Not as durable on me as things with amber, dragon’s blood or frankincense but was lasting four hours in just fine until I had to do dishes (and it’s ghost remains even afterwards). Summary: I really like this one. Definitely finishing imp and depending on how that goes, maybe a big bottle. Would be interested to see what would happen to its longevity (and sharpness) if layered over something like amber. In bottle: golden, and thick enough to coat the glass. sweet green with something sharp (I assume vetiver) underneath

In bottle: Pale yellow, thin liquid. Sharp and clear and something minty I should recognize. Very different from anything I’ve tried before. Nicely different :-) Wet: Gets more complicated and a bit sweeter (what doesn’t on my skin???) but staying in the basic range as the bottle. Not terrible strong on me but even faintly there it’s clearing my sinuses. Dry: dry sharp green with a hint of something sweet and berryish. Nice and tart and making my mouth water, literally. Nicely mentally clarifying too. Later: bright tartness withstands even dishwashing. Summary: Definite keeper at least for now.
