Oh Midway....how I cherish my bottle. I can't describe it very well - sweet fair-food at it's very best. Last all day. I heart it.

This is all sweet sweet musk on me. It's nice, but not for me. From reading the notes, I had actually held out a faint hope that it would smell something like BBW Cashmere Glow - alas, nowhere near it. It shall be passed on to someone who shall love it better. ETA: Testing a different imp, over a year later - this is nothing like what I smelled before. Not sweet at all, it smells like musky plastic. Weird! I wonder if that's a skin chem change, or batch variation, or if this imp has aged badly, or what? Makes me want to experiment and test a few different imps of this.

I wanted to smell mint and lemon and cardamom - what I get is anise and a smattering of mint. It's nice and light, and I do like it, but it fades within minutes, and I feel as if I would likely need to bathe in it to have it last all day. I may keep the imp for a bit and retest, but it will likely eventually end up in the swap pile.

I LOVE this! I had intended to buy a bottle of Carnal, because I thought it was my favourite figgy scent (next to Freak Show) and I'm glad I didn't! I will be getting a bottle of this instead. I adore the lab's fig note, and I also adore patchouli mixed with sweet fruit (as in Depraved) and this does not disappoint. In the bottle I find it to be all patchouli and earth, all the time. Wet, still mostly patchouli. It dries quite quickly to a beautiful sweet fig with undercurrents of patchouli, and something beautiful and earthy (not sure if that's the mushroom or oakmoss or both). Hours later it still smells lovely, soft and sweet and earthy. Pretty much heaven.

Lovers and a Fan is an amazing honey/coconut from this year's Lupers. And no Black Pearl on your list? My favorite GC which smells like amaretto/coconut. I am pretty sure I have tried Black Pearl. Sadly, hazelnut turns wonky on me - like burnt plastic and fake cherry or something. It's bad. I may try it again though, it's been a number of years and maybe my chemistry is different. I do like the sound of Carnival Diabolique though, I hadn't realized that has coconut in it. Sounds right up my alley. It's tempting to think about tracking down some of the Tiki's, but I think I might be better off not getting addicted to something I can't easily get. Lol.

Fabulous dirty rose....oh how I love it! But I noticed it's out of stock on the site....and that worried me. Doesn't mean it's getting discontinued, does it? I can find nothing anywhere in announcements about it being discontinued, but half the time I search and things don't come up...lol. Anyone hear anything? Do I need to start hoarding?

Thanks for all the great suggestions, my list is growing, lol. I really love a good "beachy" coconut, and am sad I missed the whole Tiki line!

My favourite mint of all time is Spooky. I love it so much! To me its very chocolate mint. I'm trying how doth the little crocodile in hopes of similarities. I also find Envy a beautiful herbal mint on me. ETA: How Doth the Little Crocodile may be my new fav mint blend - on me it's chocolate mint with hints of woods....lovely!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I hadn't thought of some of those so I added them to my list. I'm determined to find the perfect rose for me! I haven't purchased BPAL in almost 10 years...I'm kicking myself for not keeping my old spreadsheet, because I can't remember everything i tried but didn't like so sold or swapped. How foolish of me. Lol.

I love rose. Any suggestions for a current GC rose that's on the darker side? I already have Zombi and love it, but it's more earthy on me than anything.

I love coconut! Obatala turns to sour milk on me, makes me sad. I love Elegba, though it's not super coconutty on me, and Red Lantern is amazing, but again not coconutty. I have Eden, Goblin, Brown Jenkins and Roses, Pearls and Diamonds on my "to try" list, and possibly Death Adder. Am I missing anything? Any new scents that are coconutty?

I am in love with BBW Cashmere Glow. I have difficulty describing what it smells like to me, but BBW describes it as: Top Notes: Bergamot, Peach, Guava, Berries, Apricot Mid Notes: Muguet, Mimosa, Peony, Jasmine Dry Notes: Vanilla, Dulce de Leche, Sandalwood, Musk Any suggestions?? Sorry if someone already asked about this, I searched as best I could and couldn't find it in the thread.
