    Caliban

Wet: Very woody. Not like forest wood - like...cabinetry wood..... Dry: This is really interesting. Tropical for sure. But there's also a note (guessing it's the salty sea note) that reads as sweat. I don't really want to smell like a sweaty pirate, and that's kind of what I'm getting from this. Interesting though!

    Ochosi

Wet: Floral and sweet and herby Dry: This is gorgeous. Creamy, a bit sweet, floral and lightly herbal green. I may need a bottle of this in the spring.

    The Phantom Calliope

Ghostly, glowing, sweet and dark: black cherry, patchouli, cassis, cardamom and verbena. The Original: Wet: Pure Cassis. I amp it like crazy at first, so this is to be expected. Cassis is a favourite note so I'm not even mad at it. Dry: Gorgeous Cassis with undertones of lemon verbena. This reminds me of Monster Bait: Underbed (which is also almost purely Cassis on me) and since I only have one bottle of that and wish I had more, I do believe I will need a bottle of this as well. I do hope that the new version of this is the same. Notes listed are the same so I figure there's a good chance! ETA: I purchased a bottle of 2015 I get a lot more of the black cherry out of this, with the same spice. It's beautiful, but very different from the original, to me. It may change with age. I actually love it more.

    Imp

Wet: A lot like Depraved, which is to be expected based on the notes. Sweeter though. Dry: Too sweet! I do get hints of the grape others have noted. I'm of a mind to age this (my Depraved aged beautifully) and see if that doesn't mellow it out some.

    Ozymandias

Wet: Oh so much soap! Dry: Super nice, expensive, slightly incensey soap.

    Santo Domingo

This was a frimp Wet: Soapy as it dries I get hints of spiciness - maybe carnations are among the florals included. Yum. The soap has receded, but it's been known to come back. Dry: I'm loving this. The spiciness almost smells like ginger - in a baked goods kind of way, as others have noted. No complaints about that from me! I may need a bottle.

    Athens

Wet: Super fruity at first, perhaps from the wine? Dry: I wish Athens had actually smelled like this when I went... This is beautifully balanced, sweet and sultry. Usually Bpal's wine note is not good on me at all, but this is great. I think the addition of the Myrrh makes the difference. Lovely.

    Manhattan

Sexuality, power, confidence. A meeting of modern, sleek elegance and rich, passionate history: sheer amber, black leather, white mint, lemon peel, white tea, grapefruit, kush, teakwood and orchid. Wet: oh-so-briefly like fish oil. God my chemistry is weird sometimes. Thank goodness that doesn't last! Dry: This is super complex. For sure I get the lemon peel, and it's sweet but not too sweet, and smoky and dark. Kinda sexy. I could also see this being gender neutral. There's almost a black licorice note I'm getting. This is stunning.

    Glasgow

In the imps this smells a lot like Bewitched (a fave of mine) which is to be expected from the notes. Wet: Holy soap. Dry: Even more soap! Plain white bar soap. Too bad! I think I'll let it age and see if that improves things.

    Paris

Paris smells just like I expected. Like beautiful rolling fields of Lavender...lovely. Very sweet, I think from the lotus.

    Dawn: Maiden

In the imp it's soapy rose. Love me some rose! Wet: I dunno what that is, so maybe olive blossom? I don't know what olive blossom smells like. Come on milk and honey and roses!! Dry: This is an odd one. I cannot pick out a single listed note, not one. It has gone a bit powdery, but, powdery WHAT? This is really intriguing, but while I can't stop huffing my wrist, I can't see actually wearing it. I am doing a horrible job of describing this, but that's because it's indescribable on me. I guess to sum up - weird powdery floral(ish), not entirely unpleasant, but not wearable for me. Also, as if no one has reviewed this is 4 years?? That's crazy....

    Thirteen (13): January 2012

Initially this is everything that I wanted it to be - Cocoa and Ginger, two of my favourite notes. But eventually all the herbs come out, and this becomes way to herbal and woody for me. I do think I will try other 13's though. I love Cocoa.

    Hurricane

Dry and dark and foreboding. Also very masculine to me. It's VERY strong! I get a lot of aquatic, and that weird tingly scent that I identify as 'ozone'. Really intriguing, but not for me.

    House of Night

Wet: Full on cedar. Dry: Very masculine to me. I do like it, but I don't love it. Since it's DC'd I feel I should pass it on to someone who may love it, so it'll join the swap pile.

    Shattered

Wet: Really minty and fresh. Dry: The grapefruit comes out, but not in the sharp, bitter way it sometimes does on me (as in Cheshire Cat). There's something quite sweet in the background. It's really quite fresh and pleasant. I was hoping for more of the Champagne to come out, as I LOVE the lab's Champagne note. All in all this would be nice for Summer I think.

    Lightning

Wet: Lightly floral and aquatic. Dry: Much of the same. I love the name of this more than the actual scent. I do like it, just not certain I would wear it. It might be nice in spring. For now I'll keep the imp.

    The Great Sword of War

Wet: Immediately intriguing and not what I was expecting. Sweet and kind of resinous, and I had to go back and check the notes. I think it's maybe the Tonka that's reading as Amber?? Dry: This morphs a lot as it dries. I can't stop sniffing my arm. This is incredible. The cocoa eventually comes to the forefront, but it is so complex and well balanced. I'm not sure I can see myself actually wearing it - it reads a bit masculine to me. But god it's incredible! For sure keeping the imp.

    Bite Me

This was a lovely frimp. Wet: Very chemically, sort of artificial caramel. Dry: I'm not sure if the almond is the culprit, but this goes pretty wonky on my skin. Very artificial and almost soapy. Too bad, as I love foodie scents.

    Jailbait

this was a lovely frimp. I'm always so grateful to get things I never would have tried myself. Wet: Instantly reminds me of that Banana Medicine they gave you as a kid if you had a throat infection. Quickly morphs into Bazuka Joe bubblegum. Dry: Yup, bubblegum. But due to my skin chemistry it's like rancid bubblegum. Ugh. This is bad on me. Like, wash it off bad. Still, glad I tried it!

    Jabberwocky

this was a frimp which I was quite grateful for, as I never would have tried this otherwise. Even if end up hating things, always love having tried them!! Wet: Holy Vicks, Batman. Like, straight-up Vicks Vap-O Rub. Whooo!!! Clears the sinuses! Dry: Omg, as it's drying it smells like this product we used to pour down the outhouse at the cottage to help the raw sewage break down.... Once fully dry it's a bit more mellow and smells less medicinal. The orange comes out, the pine dies right down, and the eucalyptus mellows. Not something I would ever wear. but an interesting scent experience! Lol. Sure woke me up, anyway....

    Lamia

Wet: Something really green that immediately reminds me of Lush's Jungle solid conditioner. Dry: Still smells a bit like Lush's Jungle, which I LOVE but with Coconut. Which I also love. There's a lot of love over here right now, yes sirree bob. This needs a whole test day, full slather test, but I do think I shall be buying a bottle!!

    Fairy Bites

Wet: Immediately this smells exactly like Envy on me. Except this smells wet like Envy does dry, herby and minty with just a hint of lavender. Dry: The lavender amps, but then fades again. It doesn't last long on me. It's nice, but doesn't really wow me.

    Liz

This broke my heart a little. My name is Liz, so I desperately wanted to love the perfume that shares my name. t would have been so cool to wear a perfume called Liz. Unfortunately, it's just not for me. One of the floral notes reminds me of something I don't want to be reminded of, so I would never be able to wear it, even though it is pretty, if not my usual type of scent.

    Poisoned Apple

Wet: Apple. with something a hint darker underneath. Apple without being too foodie, somehow. Dry: I've been looking for a perfect apple blend, and this might be it if it has some staying power. So far every apple blend I've tried has disappeared in minutes. This has hung on half an hour so far. There's something about this that takes it from being "apple" to "apple perfume" but I can't really put my finger on what. I think maybe the hemlock, as I don't get any oleander or opium, but I don't actually know what Hemlock smells like.

    The Zieba Tree

Wet: Lovely and green Dry: Lovely, but very light. It's hard to pick out notes, but I can smell clean sweet floral and crisp fruit. Might need a bottle for spring if it has staying power.
