Mmm sugar and rum as I splash it on lavishly. I can sense a little tobacco there in the far back of the picture but mostly it's deep and rich and sweet and boozy. Ten seconds in all the rum is gone and I have tobacco going slightly stale and possibly a hint of coconut coming from my wrist -if I put my nose all the way down to it, butI it doesn't stay stale for more than a couple of minutes. It's not bad, not at all, but i'm puzzled by how fast the scent changed. After the change it stays pretty stable though, but it's really low key and close to the skin, and it's the tobacco/spicy coconut that dominates the show. After a little while the rum comes back, but only as a sweetener and very much in the background. Whoa I love this one! It's really strange, in a good way, in a way that reveals little pieces of a secret at the time.

Oh yeah chocolate, and a very good one too. I don't get the florals but the cherry is in the back there and makes it deeper or takes it into another dimension. It's gorgeous! As it dries it turns to cherries more than to chocolate, and I think a little sugary floral note is coming through, very faint and in the background. Oh man - just when I didn't think it could be prettier it proves to me it can. The only sad thing is it doesn't last very long on me. That could change with reapplying though, it usually does. I want a bottle.

Mmm very nice in the bottle, rich and creamy. As I put it on I'm expecting it to turn stale like some foody scents do on me, but this one doesn't. It's just sweet and caramel-y, probably held a little in check by the saffron. Oh I like! After it's dries it remains wonderful with caramel/vanilla coming off my skin. It stays pretty close though. I have to put my nose all the way to my wrist to smell it, but that's just nice. It reminds me a little of MIDWAY but this one is even better. I'm very happy I bought it.

Definitely roses although maybe a little sharper than the red one as it goes on. It softens as it starts to dry and it's definitely a white scent, this. I'm not usually a huge fan of the white ones but this one is good, with potential to become gorgeous with a little patience on my part. After all i love roses. Dry: Oh I was right. It softens quite a bit and this is like white velvet. Silk velvet, smooth and warm and brilliant at the same time, and very romantic. Absolutely beautiful. It was a great move to get this one unsniffed.

From the pre-test I couldn't help doing on the back of my arm while unpacking, it's absolutely gorgeous so i'm looking forward to the real testing. Sugary-boozy in the bottle, but once it gets on my skin it smells like ...wait...celery? I missed that stage in the pre-test. It doesn't stay in that stage for long though, soon it sweetens and the sugar comes out, with a little whiff of violet waaay in the back, more like a gentle cool coloring than anything else. It goes through a couple more subtle incarnations before it settles on strawberry without being sweet or heavy. I absolutely love it! It's gorgeous on me.

Lavender and citrus right away. It says grapefruit but i'm getting lemon. Oh wait it calms down a little. Man what a weird scent. Now it's smooth and a little fruity, sweet fruit. Oh wait, it changed again, now it's bubblegum. It keeps changing, it's impossible to pin it down! In less than an hour it's *poof* gone.

This one is good even if there is something in there that makes my eyes water a little, which could be the bergamot since it's a little Earl Grey-ish. I can smell the amber and sandalwood and a lot of spicy stuff here. But the amber is the most prominent one. Let's see what happens when it dries a little. Oh it gets better! The sharp note settles and gives way for sweet amber with a hint of vanilla. Oh man it's gorgeous! Bottle of this one!

The lemon verbena comes out right away but I like it. It's fresh and citrus-y on a sweet background of florals -that I can actually use. It's a young scent though. When the lemon pulls back a little, it morphs into HOLLYWOOD BABYLON's little sister, complete with bubble gum and pig tails. Someone said they couldn't believe that strawberry isn't listed here and I agree. I's a little young for me and I already have HOLLYWOOD BABYLON in my collection so I don't think a bottle is on the horizon but I will keep the imp for bright spring days.

december 23rd my youngest brother and his wife and three kids come by every year to wish me happy holidays and socialize over coffee and cookies. there is always a lot of hugging, when they arrive and when they leave. this year i was generously covered with the masque, and after they left the following conversation took place: husband: you smell like sex. me: really? is that a good thing or a bad thing? (you know, wink wink) husband: well... *pause* me: are you telling me i just hugged my whole family smelling like we just had sex? husband: pretty much. edit: oops i forgot to put in what i was originally going to post about: on xmas eve i wore rose red, and at the family xmas party on boxing day i wore snake oil. new year's eve i wore black lace.

oh man this one is good!! in the bottle it's woody and sharp but once it gets on the skin it smooths down and i can smell a hint of rose coming through, but without taking over. On me this one is a rose scent and a spice scent at he same time. i don't get any mandarin though, no citrus at all, only warmth and femininity. i love it! a definite bottle here, actually already on its way. i could wear this one a lot. it's one of my very faves so far.

my first impression is green and i'm thinking maaan and i got a bottle unsniffed of this one... i'm about to take a shower and go to bed so i won't be wearing it all through drydown and the end phase but i get a whiff of rose and incense and suddenly i like it. next day i can't wait to put it on and it is good. it's like a journey, starting with the green i got right away, light and a little bitter. it fades and gives way for the rose and from there it's sweeter as they all usually are, and then it takes you down a dark little path with different interesting stories before it ends in something a little caramel-y. it's not a very long path, i think maybe 2 or 2.5 hours on me. totally worth it though. there are so many stories i'm almost worn out.

wet it reminds me of urd, it has the same headshop-feeling that urd does (and i love that -always have). when it dries it doesn't go sweeter as most scents do on me. this one is very strange and very interesting. if i smell it from a little distance it's pure caramel, like the scent that comes back to me from inside my scarf, but the closer to the wrist i put my nose, the less sweet it gets. it must be the spices. i'm not really getting honey, unless that's what adds a certain smoothness to it. this one is nothing less than gorgeous. oh yeah. we're looking at a 5ml bottle here.

oh this one is beautiful, it's the young girl before she is taken to hades, with the promise of horror to come fluttering in the air. the roses aren't in the foreground or very well blended with something i can only assume is the pomegranate. my skin loves it and on me it's gorgeous. absolutely gorgeous, but very young. i'm thinking maybe too young for me but then i turn around, clutching the imp in my sweaty hands: mine! this is my innocence in a vial. wow. i didn't expect that one. same as innocence, it doesn't last very long though. it was gone after a couple of hours. the good thing is i can get myself a bottle of this one.

i can smell the almonds when it's wet, but it dries quickly and turns into smoky rose, but not a soft and comforting rose, it's haunting and sharp, though beautiful. sweet but not too sweet. sharp but not too sharp. i can sense incense or spice in there somewhere, and i think amber. wow. i don't know what i expected but this wasn't it. i'm not disappointed, i'm pleasantly surprised. this is soft pink. my favorite shade of pink, but with a twist. oh yeah. i'm definitely licking the mirror. this one isn't kidding around. a 5ml order is already on its way. this one is in my definite top five. edit for typo

oh yeah overpowering enough as i open the bottle, so much i want to turn away, but i brave it and put it on. after a little while it calms down and i can smell the caramel. and the toffee, only not really in a good way, but in the way i feel when i've had way too much and is nauseous. man what a brilliant name for the scent! this is a work of art, but not necessarily a work of art i want to wear. i might take it out now and again to be blown away but i think it's going in the no box. it made me pull out my chocolate stash btw...

i just put fenris wolf on and i love that one too. it's a little male but not so much that i can't wear it. this is completely different from brisingamen even if they're both inspired by the norse mythology. i thought about incense once i put it on. FENRIS WOLF The raw, untamable power of chaos. Rosewood, amber, red musk and a dribble of red sandalwood. yeah sandalwood and musk. oh man i love it. yep, this one also goes on the 5ml list oh and i have been thinking i should make a wish list of scents i want to try, so that i know what my next order will be. and believe me it's not far away.: 13 (my birth date and lucky number. i know it's not on sale all the time but if i see it again i will order it. it's a must have for me.) snake oil(i was going to order it this time but it slipped away from me, or he he should i say slithered away from me)

i'm not sure i need a new blog but then again i want to follow up on this, because even if i got my first batch of imp ears in the mail yesterday and i have only tried two scents so far, i love it so much already i can feel it's gonna be a long relationship. i haven't introduced myself yet. i am lizzy and i come from norway. i'm an artist and a grandmother. i am very happily married and we have two cats, one blue point siamese and a black oriental. but this is supposed to be about the perfume oil. oh man what a perfume it is. they gave me envy for free with my first order and i tried it on right away. it was a little to grassy and light for me but i have a 15 year old niece who has a confirmation coming up and it will be perfect for her. at least that's what i'm thinking. ENVY Green herbs slithering through mint, lime and lavender. today i tried brisingamen on and i loved it. i think it's the amber that's so appealing to me. for years now i have stayed away from perfume oil (i used a lot of patchouli back in the day), except for a piece of raw amber i use behind my ears now and then. brisingamen stayed with me for may hours and as time went on it only got better and better. i'm not gonna attempt an analysis like many others do, but i thought it was gorgeous. my heritage is norse so that's why i ordered it. when i smelled the bottle yesterday i thought it smelled a little like pine but today it didn't. BRISINGAMEN The amber necklace of Freyja, Norse Goddess of Love, Sex, Attraction and Fruitfulness. Her magnificent necklace was bough from four Dwarves [Alfrik, Berling, Dvalin and Grer] at the price of four nights of her passion. When Brisingamen graces your throat, no man can resist your charms. A glittering mantle of rich golden notes: five ambers, soft myrtle and apple blossom, myrtle, and carnation. i had to move them from my bedroom though, the scent from those little bottles was too heavy to sleep in for me. maybe i'm very sensitive to this stuff. i found an old jar that used to hold facial cream and cleaned it and put them in that one. oh and i'm posting the descriptions for me to remember for later. i know all the people here are very familiar with this stuff. it's just my own desire to keep it in order.
