First sniff: Mint and more mint! On: Mint and nothing but mint! Thirty minutes later: Still minty but softer and a little bit of the eucalyptus is coming through now. It is a refreshing scent to be sure. I wish I could smell the violets but unfortunately my body is only amping the two scents right now. This reminds me more of a snowy winter fragrance!

I was lucky to be able to go to Convergence and lucky to purchase The Unheavenly City. After applying it, the first scent I detected was gardenia, not overpowering, but just softly there blending with the spicy red musk. Red musk is one of my favorites so I did recognize it as well. My neighbor has a magnolia tree that if the wind blows just right, I can smell the beautiful scent of this lovely flower. There is just a touch of this magnolia flower in here but I cannot smell jasmine at all. I liked The Unheavenly City at Convergence but I tried on so many different oils that I didn't get the full effect until I tried it on by itself. A truly remarkable blend!

Magnificent three-faced Goddess of Magic, the Dark Moon and the Crossroads. She is the Mother of Witches, and the midnight baying of hounds is her paean. Her compassion is evidenced in her role as Psychopomp for Persephone, and her wrath manifests as Medea's revenge. Deep, buttery almond layered over myrrh and dark musk. In the vial, Hecate is dark amber in color and smells on the sweet side. It smells almost like an after dinner drink-amaretto it is so strong. After applying it, I have to admit that I was considerering wiping some off, it was so strong. So, it is either a potent oil, or I put too much on the first time! I waited at least half an hour and the almond and sweetness did quiet down and I found Hecate to be very nice. The almond is smoother and there is even a cinnamon note there that I find really pleasant in this blend. Musk is my all time favorite so add that into the mix and I'd say this is a winner! I think I would wear this more in cooler weather though because it is a heavier perfume. It is going on my wish list!

I was lucky enough to win this in an Ebay auction from the Lab and I love it! First sniff I can smell fruit-but it is the kind of fruit that I smell at Easter in the Easter buns my Grandma used to make with the citron dried fruit. After application and the drying down time, it is very light and the tea and bamboo flavor comes out to gently blend with the citron. I love all the Moon scents and so far I think this is my favorite!

I received this as a frimp from the lab in my last order. This smelled really nice in the imp-very fruity with spices. But once I apply it something happens and it turns very plastic-y on me. The strawberry doesn't like me but the spices do. If I could have one without the other I would and could actually wear this. How could something that smells so good in the imp go so wrong on me?

I purchased a bottle of this because it had coconut in it. I had never tested an imp or read the reviews but I love coconut in all it's forms so I knew I would love this and I wasn't wrong! Right out of the bottle it is coconutty and spicey and warm. There is a sweetness and it is the fuzziness too that adds a very unique muskiness to this blend. It has now jumped to my number one GC favorite!

Santa Muerte is very floral but not rosy on me. After dry down, it is quite nice and still floral but there is a wildness like dandelions or wildflower stems. I guess I am trying to say-greeness or newness to it. I see the color yellow surrounding this-yellow flowers, yellow cactus. It is a scent that makes you want to run through a meadow of flowers and butterflies without a care in the world-a happy scent.

When I first applied this, it was very bitter, but that lasted only moments. Then, the floral goodness burst out and I smelled peony flowers right away. It has the same scent as Peony Moon. It has the ripe fresh smell of blackberries-just like I used to pick in Minnesota and make into jam. Just yummy. Somewhere in here is a spice too, just a touch, but it is there. Bitter Moon is a tantalizing scent that I will enjoy wearing!

This is one scent that needs to be slathered on. The first time was so light I really couldn't smell it all. I tried it again and that is when I could smell the delightful ginger and light spices. It is warm and comforting like a banket. This would also be great in a scent locket, which I just happen to have!

I really love this lightly sweet scent! I can smell no pine at all, which is good becuase my body chemisty usually amps pine. I just smell lovely lotus with a spicy amber that is just so beautiful. I'm glad that I purchased it from the description and didn't wait for a decant.

I love lilies-next to carnations, they are my favorite flowers. And who doesn't like honey? Put the two together and you are a gorgeous scent! I don't know how Beth does it, but she was able to cature the spiciness of the lily. Lilies in the wild have a spiciness about them and this scent captures the wild beauty of a bouquet of them, the headiness and darkness of hundreds of lilies. I just adore this scent. I put a label on the top of the bottle and added a heart to it- that is the highest grade I can give a bottle.

In the bottle I can smell cherry but once I put it on, the cherry disappears right away. This is a gorgeous scent that I could wear everyday! The dragon's blood and myrrh are absolutely fantastic together and when you add spices and muskiness on top of that, I actually could swoon. I just can't stop smelling myself-it is that good!

A twisted teatime tart: apricot and sweet clove. Apricot is my all time favorite fruit and clove is my favorite spice, so how could I go wrong with this scent? I bought it without smelling it, just by the description alone! I am not disappointed at all! This is a delicious scent that is a lot of spice with a little fruit. For me it is a must have.

Red Devil smells very citrusy and floral at the same time. I love dragon's blood and I don't smell that here at all. I do detect a little cinnamon or spice notes which I do like very much. It is clean and fresh and not over powering but the scent fades pretty quickly. I liked it much better the longer I wore it after everything blended together. While I do like this, I don't think I will be purchasing a bottle-it just doesn't last very long on me.

In the imp this is bright yellow and very lemony. Applied it smells like lemon dessert bars that my mom makes. It does not go very well with my skin chemistry but I think that it will be great as a kitchen room freshener. I really wanted this to to like me because I really love the name.

I received a frimp of this but never tried it. I did try it at the Lab just out of the blue (I tried on many). I kept smelling something really good and couldn't remember what it was and went back and started going through the bottles that I tried on. I still couldn't figure it out. When I got home I saw the imp here and picked it up and remembered I had tried it on there. I sniffed it and, "That's it"! It smells so good! It is light musk and ylang-ylang and a hint of rose. After thirty minutes a spiciness comes out that makes this really special. The rose fades (which I like, I'm not a rose girl), and this is now on my bottle to get list!

I was able to get a brand new bottle of this and I have been dying to try it! It is sweet smelling but not cloying, a little bit of spicy too, probably from the musk. It is a refreshingly light scent, the ginger is there and adds to the distinctiveness of this scent. I really love this and think that it just jumped to my new favorite everyday scent!

I received Anne Bonny as a frimp and I had been wanting to try it for a long time. Ar first it was very strong and overpowering. The patchouli was so strong that I actually coughed when I sniffed it! That took me by surprise! I had to stop and go do some chores while it mellowed out a little bit. I tried again after an hour and it did mellow out and now I can smell the sandalwood. I don't know if I would wear this scent but I think I would like this on my husband. I think I will pass this along to him.

When I first applied this I smelled spicy carnations and lilies. It was really nice and light. After an hour or so, it turned into a powdery floral. The carnations that I loved so much have faded and all the flowers have now mingled together into a mosh-posh of florals. The spiciness is gone too. I guess this one is off to the swap pile.

I received an entire bottle as a gift with a purchase. I was very surprised. It came with a reducer cap that I had a horrible time getting off, but I am persistant and finally changed lids. I had no idea what was in this but it smelled pretty good and I smeared some on. I had it on a few hours and I could smell something really good and spicy. I finally looked it up and saw that it had Dragon's Blood in it. No wonder it smells so good! Anything with Dragon's Blood in it smells fantastic on me! It's one blend I can always count on!! Far off in the background, there is a hint of a fruity blend with the barest hint of rose. I really have to search for the rose though. I am so glad that I was gifted this bottle!

This is a very mild frankincense and geranium blend that is pretty but not as strong as I expected. It took a while before this blend warmed up to my skin. I actually put it on several times before I could even smell it. I think though that I didn't need to put so much on, I just needed to wait for all the notes to get used to me. After the initial waiting period, it finally did blossom into a beautiful, lightly spicy scent. I'm glad I purchased a bottle.

I received this as a frimp from the lab. This is a very dark floral that has a strong odor of decayed leaves. After thirty minutes the floral scent has disappeared completely and I am left with an incensey type fragrance. I keep hoping this is going to morph into something more but it never changes from this state. While it is nice, it is not fabulous on me. I will keep the imp but won't need to get a bottle.

I love Hawaiian white ginger and tropical blooms but I am not getting either from this scent. I get dusty baby powder and commercial perfume scent. This smells almost like White Shoulders to me. It does not go well with my body chemistry. It is so pretty in the bottle too!

The first time I tried Queen Alice I didn't find it remarkable at all. But then again, I had several different scents on at the time since I was at Will Call when I tried it on. I knew that this should work on me it had all the notes that I love. So, I decided to but a bottle and give it a try again. I'm glad I did too. Another thing I discovered is that it makes a difference where you apply the oil too. Sometimes I apply it on my forearm, sometimes on my wrist. I did both with QA. My wrist smells delicious while my arm smells unremarkable. I think that's where I went wrong at Will Call-I applied it to my arm instead of my wrist. At first sniff, I smelled smokey wine with a hint of spicy carnations. There is a very soft undertone of lilies although there are none listed. Maybe that is the posies I am smelling. The amber is light and alluring and adds to the mystery surrounding this scent. I could wear this everyday or every night!

I received a frimp of this from the lab and my first thought upon sniffing was "umm, calm". It was very soothing to me, but I have a headache, which I guess is a good sign that this is a soft, mellow scent. Otherwise, I can't be around BPAL at all. I detect a little fruit and a bit of sweetness. Overall, I like it and would never have purchased it without help from the lab. It just seems peaceful.
