    Leather Phoenix

In the imp: Hard to describe. All I can pick out is very faint leather. Wet: Wow, this barely smells of anything... slightly musky and leathery but I was expecting something a bit more powerful. Dry: Sort of like a weak green tea with the faintest hint of spices. The leather continues to get more pronounced as it dries. Nice, but way disappointing considering the ingredients.

    Caliban

In the imp: Lightly masculine and aquatic. Wet: Very green, similar to a lot of scents with "boggy" in the description. Fresh and clean. Dry: Fades fast, but it's great while it lasts. I'd be all over a shower gel of this, it smells salty aquatic and invigorating.

    Cockaigne

In the imp: The musty pastry note from Knave of Hearts. Eww. Wet: Pastry is a lot less noticeable, it's more of a honeyed wine now. Dry: OK, the pastry is far less obnoxious dry, it's sweeter and more like stale piecrust.. The wine note goes very fruity and sweet on me and I would probably like it if I didn't keep catching scent of that godawful pastry note.

    Rose Red Candle

I bought two of these because I was reluctant to burn the first one. It smells amazing just sitting on the shelf, I have burned the new one though, very delicate and super rosey

    Marshmallow Cookie Pie

(I'm not into food scents at all, so I skipped this entirely and haven't read the description. Generously frimped this with a forum purchase ☺) In the imp: super sweet cookies Wet: Bourbon vanilla. Once that's burnt off, there's a synthetic, foody but almost purfumey note that I can't quite place. I keep getting wafts of marshmallow, but they're faint. Dry: Definitely cookies, the syntheticy part has settled to what I think is chocolate? There's definitely something alcoholic to this pie though.

    Maud Ruthyn

Fresh wheat, honeycomb, rosehips, nectarine, climbing roses, and myrrh. On me, this is slightly soapy roses. It's a very sweet, creamy rose and something in it suggests white floral. Good job it doesn't have any actually in it because those are always rank on me! I've had this one about a year already (only just realised I never reviewed it) and it's not changed at all in that time. Still, it's nice enough ☺

    Bengal

In the imp: Spicy, warm but not all that sweet. Wet: Honey and cinnamon. It's warm, but not as sweet as these blends usually go on me. Dry: I can pretty much smell every note at the dry stage, and it's wonderful. Musks don't work on me 90% of the time but this is such a winner.

    Wicked

In the imp: the tiniest hint of rose with a lot of sickly jasmine 😝 Wet: Not quite as icky, but now it's all jasmine. Dry: Well the rose has come back out but this is overwhelmingly jasmine which frankly, smells like someone's sprayed a bunch of perfume to hide something unpleasant in the bathroom. Literally scrubbed this off myself.

    Shub-Niggurath

In the imp: exactly like a Sugar Cookies room fragrance oil I have. Super sweet, foody and slightly spicy. Wet: more like gingerbread and slightly doughy. Dry: I'm not a fan of foody scents, but this is just spicy enough to work and the dough type note is pretty background. I love the ginger, I can't pick out anything resinous but I'd guess that's what's adding the depth.

    Y'ha-nthlei

In the imp: Fresh and aquatic. Wet: Much the same. I'm getting the "deep marine notes", but I can't pinpoint what they are, it's just something rich and clean. Dry: This barely changes across the stages, so not much more I can add. This'd be awesome as a shower gel.

    Against Idleness and Mischief

In the imp: Soft, powdery honeyed herbs. Wet: Honey and chamomile Dry: Definitely honeyed chamomile, its nit changed much between the wet and dry stages. The hyssop is boosting the herbal side slightly, but it's mostly honey. I'm not familiar enough with tonka to pick it out in a blend yet, but there's definitely something else going on. I love this, but the sweetness would probably annoy me too much to wear in the day, but it's perfect as a winding down before bed scent.

    Athens

In the imp: sweet, cherry-like. Wet: Definitely picking out the honey and wine. It actually smells like a super sweet Cherry B. Dry: Powdery, sweet myrrh. I think it may have been the myrrh giving it a cherry edge earlier because that's gone completely. Wine can be a bit iffy on me, but it's really working here, maybe because it's just a background note.

    Snake Oil

In the imp: sugary, earthy, spicy. Wet: More sweet vanilla and some background spiciness. Dry: Lovely mix of vanilla and cinnamon, reminds me of Bastet, which is one of my favourites. I'd been backwards and forwards on this for ages after reading reviews, but there were two frimps in my last order. May well buy a bottle now

    Ploutos

In the imp: manly, leathery and a lot of oudh. Wet: Barely any leather! It never works on me, so I'm really pleased. I don't get any oudh now though, it's all honey and patchouli. Dry: It's SO well blended I'm having trouble picking out notes. I think the honey and oudh are the most prominent notes, but I'm getting something patchouli-y.Everything in this is usually a winner, but this is the first time a leather scent has worked on me, and I really love it. Wish it'd been a larger size!

    The Rose

The promise of a rose: red rose petals, fresh sap, and the sharp green scent of stem and leaf. This is SO much like Rose Red, comparing the two, I'd say this is less rose and more greens. The rose is lighter, sweeter and slightly powdery. Love it ❤

    Delirium

In the imp: apple and sweet lemon. Wet: Strong lemon, a tiny bit of rose. Dry: smells like rose tea. Pretty, light and fresh.

    The Knave of Hearts

In the imp: Verrrry buttery. It does smell like pie crusts, but very synthetic. Wet: This is all pie crusts 😭 And it's STRONG. Dry: I'm getting the rose and blackcurrant but there's a heavy synthetic, buttery, musky pie crust weighing it down. I'll keep it and hope the pie part calms the fuck down after some aging, because it's ruining what I suspect is a really great rose scent.

    Blood Kiss

In the imp: Alcoholic and a bit sour. Wet: Like chocolate vetiver? Or chocolate liqueurs. Little bit of cherry. Dry: Still cherry liqueurs, the wine is making it slightly medicinal. It's really nice, if it was a food, I'd totally eat it, but it's not the kind of thing I'd wear.

    Strangler Fig

In the imp: sorta like peas and sugar? Maybe a little bit like pear. Wet: Same, but with something sharp, leafy and green in the background. Dry: It does smell figgy now and that leafy note's still hanging around making things interesting. Not one I'll wear but it's nice enough for scenting rooms

    Dee

In the imp: Definitely getting the leather. Pretty generic masculine fragrance. Wet: Still leather, but much sweeter and sort of vanilla-y. Hopefully, the incense is coming out. Dry: Leather ruins everything for me It's not all that strong but it's basically just leather and vanilla. I'm fascinated by John Dee so I'm gonna hang on and hope it'll age and the incense will come out more.

    The Ghost

A thin, sinuous, creeping chill, the scent of glee-filled undeath: white iris, osmanthus, Calla lily, tomb-crawling ivy and a coffin spray of gladiolus, lisianthus and delphinium. In the imp: Sweet, floral. Wet: Definitely some sort of white, powdery flowers but with a lot of sweetness. Dry: Usually, this much white floral would be terrible on me, but it's actually really likeable. Something green and earthy is stopping it from being too nauseating, so I assume that's the ivy. I probably won't wear it because it's just not my thing, but it can definitely go in the oil burner.

    Clement I’s Phoenix

The caramelised myrrh is pretty much the same as the honeyed myrrh in Little Egypt (my #1 snuggly comfort scent), the two are very similar but this lacks the spicy kick. The frankincense is the more prominent note later on, very light and similar to Midnight Mass. I've worn this for 3 days straight now, so it's a definite keeper.
  23. Does anyone know of something similar to the Rough With The Smooth scrub bar? Patchouli, black peppercorn and vanilla are the main notes, I love the scent but it does seem sugary because... well, sugar.

    Between Your Heart And Mine

Whacked this on straight out the post, so I'm not going to do this review in stages like I usually do. This is everything I hoped it would be: woody rose with creamy vanilla coming out over time. It's not a very strong scent, but it still lasts all day.

    Pronouncing "BPAL" and scent names!

Try Forvo! You can hear native pronunciations of letters and words by searching. I found Thvorusleikir on there yesterday so the others are probably up too ☺
