They Shall Eate the Residue of that which is Escaped
d0gbones replied to annemathematics's topic in Limited Editions
In the imp (decant): Something sweet and slightly minty. Wet: Very green, but non herbal. The sweetness has died down, it's fresher and the mint is more prominent. Dry: Vanilla and sandalwood with the tiniest kick of mint. A little powdery, but it's fresh rather than dry and overpowering. Like most of the Plagues, this one really does change a lot as it dries. It's pleasant enough, but sandalwood always makes me ill (yeah, idk either), so I did have to wash it off. -
In the imp (decant): I get juniper, everything else is a jumble because this one's straying from my roses and resins comfort zone. Wet: same as above. Quite sharp and woody. Dry: Juniper and slight cedarwood. It's masculine and I'm not getting the blood or clay. The clay eventually comes out as the juniper calms down. I'm starting to like it, but it's still not quite right, so we'll see how it ages.

In the imp (decant): gone-off perfume and curry? Um... Wet: Musky myrrh and coconut. Is there coconut in here? Whatever it is, it reminds me of a scented My Little Pony I had as a kid. Hm. Most of these notes are new to me and I'm having a hard time separating and identifying them. Dry: Musk, leather and I swear I can still smell coconut.

In the imp (decant): minty, salty, aquatic. Wet: At first, fresh and clean but then a hit of weird biscuityness?? Someone above mentioned Ritz crackers - that's it. Dry: Fresh and clean with no hint of biscuit. It's rounded out nicely and the mint is peepimg through. There's something about it similar to Sea Foams Milk, minus the milk.

In the imp (decant): something sharp followed by menthol cigarettes. Wet: liquorice. A pack you bought ages ago gone sticky. Dry: Liquorice and menthol cigs. It's sweet and making me feel a bit sick... ETA: In the end the liquorice dies off and it's just straight up minty tobacco on me. Definite nope.

For me, this was mostly green tea and aloe with the sliiightest hint of lemon. Usually lemon ruins everything, but here it's so inconspicuous and really complements the green tea and aloe. It's so fresh, clean and bright. Really uplifting, it'd be great as a room/linen spray too.

This definitely makes me think of halls of gold, it's got a dry, metallic edge and that's balanced wonderfully with the resin. To me, it's more like an older lady's perfume than cologne, in fact, it smells vaguely No.5 ish. Really nice, but a bit too mature for my tastes, so I've passed it on.

This one's very woody (slightly spicy) and masculine and I loved it in the imp. Unfortunately, it goes to smell like sweaty man on me Like a guy applied generic aftershave then didn't shower for a few days. I actually had to wash it off after about half an hour, I'm hoping I can salvage it by turning it into a room spray.

In the vial, I get the "family bathroom after the family have left" feeling someone mentioned earlier. On, I'm not getting lavender or ozone, just berry sweetness which goes a bit soapy/powdery the longer it's on. I'm assuming the lavender is what keeps it from being too sweet. It's pleasant enough, it's just not a very "me" scent, I've given it to my mother and it smells lovely on her.
