When I open the bottle, a swirl of black smoke wafts out, followed by dark, cold vetiver. This is not woodsmoke, it is the dark smoke of old, damp leaves burning. When I first put this on, it smells like black smoke and cold, dark vetiver. The smoke fades away quickly. At this stage it reminds me of a dark, deep primeval forest with the scent of thick, damp, rotting leaves underfoot. As it dries, it still smells cold but the smoke is gone. Now it is all dry leaves and spicy amber. I am in love! This is absolutely amazing, dark, deep, woodsy and spicy. It is just what I was hoping for. Autumn is my favorite time of year, and this is it in a bottle!

This is simply a gorgeous rose scent! The lemon in the description worried me, but it smells simply amazing. Not a bit like the lemon pledge I expected, it adds an unexpected freshness to the rose. I wore this to a friend's house, and when I walked in she asked if it was perfume or roses from outside wafting in when I opened the door. She said it smelled just like a freshly blooming rosebud. This is my favorite rose scent so far!

This is the scent of a summer storm: thick black clouds pass over this full moon, the Goddess roars, and Her Beloved hurls his forked bolts of lightning in the distant sky. Ozone deepened by liquid amber, and a spray of hot nighttime rain mingled with the scent of lightning-struck wood, water-soaked summer blooms, and sun-scorched grass. I really wanted to love this, because I adore thunder storms. The amber convinced me to give it a shot since it is my favorite scent. Unfortunately, this smells exactly like 'Vanish' toilet cleanser on my skin. And it takes hours for that to go away and the amber to show up at all. Ozone obviously does not work on me.

I like rose scents and have been looking for the 'perfect' one for me. I bought a bottle of Rose Moon and I just love it, but once this bottle is gone I will need something new. I have read some of the reviews of Tarot: the Empress and thought it sounded like it might be similar. Since it's a GC scent I thought I had all the time I needed to think about it. Now it's going to be discontinued and I better grab a bottle if it has a chance of being 'the' rose I am looking for. Has anyone compared the two? Or does anyone have a suggestion for a GC scent that is similar to Rose Moon?
