Allergy Questions, Allergies and other reactions to oils

Here's a strange one for you - I'm wildly allergic to Hecate. everywhere I put it turned bright red and itchy almost on contact. I'm not allergic to almonds, I've definitely worn musks before (including Beth's), but I have no idea about myrrh. Does anyone know if there's anything else in there that could be causing my reaction?

    Jester

I just tried jester, which I received as a gift from an evil, evil enabler - my first BPAL experience ever. I haven't read what's in it or what it's supposed to smell like - so please laugh at My Very First BPAL Review. It'll probably turn out to be rose scented. Jester smells like shimmery fruit - an everlasting gobstopper of fruity sweet flavors, undercut with the smell of leaves. One minute it smells like strawberries, the next bananas, the next mango. Quite a sweet scent, definitely yummy, although not for everyday. This is what you wear to an outdoor Jimmy Buffet concert, or for a day at the beach followed up by a night on the boardwalk. After reading everyones reviews.... and having it on for a while: I do detect the Strawberry Hubba Bubba/Plastic note, but it seems to go away after about an hour. What you're left with once that first note goes away is an absolutely incredible, melllow fruit smell. I kept having to resniff my arm every three seconds it was so great. I don't know if I could deal with the initial strong smell for the time it takes to dry down as I think you'd need to apply a ton of it to still have enough of the wonderful lingering smell when you're done.

    Oberon

I just received this as a gift - my second BPAL scent ever. The second I put this on I thought "mmmmm, Nantucket Briar." Anyone remember that perfume from Crabtree and Evelyn? This is like that, only better. It smells great, like a stormy fall day at the beach - there's a touch of ozone to it, and some wet woody notes, and a bit of an ocean scent. This will definitely be a favorite for fall, it's a bit too warm and strong for summer. And if men react to it the way my dog did, I'll be in very good shape for dates this fall! My dog has never ever been interested in anything but hand lotion, which she obsessively licks off me - the second I put this on she came running over and just kept smushing her head into my arm. So cute.
