If you want to hunt down rares, Oborot and Carpathian Mountains are my top forest scents. Not that they are easy to find. In the general catalog, Antikythera Mechanism is woody, Tombstone is exquisite, Black Forest seems an obvious one to try, Odin and Antony are worth a shot.

I find 2, 5, and 7 from Mad Tea Party to be similar to Rose Red and easier to acquire. It has a faint (on me anyway) grass note and juicy, rose smells red and freshly bloomed rose to my nose. I have picky skin when it comes to rose and this is one of the few that works. I haven't tried Red Rose from Marchen.

If you can get a decant of Bigger critters, you may like it better than Flying Fox. I swears.

Yes! And, the Bittersweet Chocolate BO. Tarantula fascinator smells nothing like Boomslang to me. Its straight up tobacco with benzoin drydown. No chocolate.

I am happy to report that Sanctus has prominent osmanthus note! I see the love for it and my skin loves it. I don't think it can be anything else, lily and frankincense don't smell this way. I must find more osmanthus!!!

It could be that I received a decant from an unshaken or unrolled bottle or it could be my skin amps the holy heck out of all rose, (so please take my review with a grain of salt) but this is single note rose on me. Granted it is the lovely, not quite lemony but almost pure red rose I get from Whip, but I was anticipating some frankincense at least. I'll retest to be sure and try to get a different decant but I am sad this lacked complexity on my skin. Granted, my skin ate the leather in Whip and amped the rose there too, so that is something to consider. YMMV of course. I'll edit if aging my decant helps but I am blaming my rose amping skin chemistry for this experiment gone wrong. I wanted to love this because the label is adorbs. I would have thunk to smell some honey or frankincense. I'm considering a bottle for layering purposes as is as it is quite difficult for me to find a rose that doesn't evoke soap association, granny tendencies or become sour on me. In essence, it may be that the notes are so well blended it is just a perfect rose from wet to dry down on me, with modest sillage (throw).

Okay, King Cobra is the snake slithering with glorious frankincense. While not sugared per set, the snake oil sweetens it right up. Another suggestion is Jacobs Ladder. Maybe frankincense just goes very sweet on me, but this one is very sweet incense. One final parting suggestion. All you sugar lovers should stock up on Clive Barker Sweets to the Sweet. You can sugar up any scent you like by layering it with this. Its damn near perfect!

Bakeneko! I probably should not even mention it since it is incredibly difficult to find but the wet stage is very tangerine for me.

Minh scent, not sure if its osmanthus but you should try Cordelia. Its gorgeous! I love my sleeper favorites of the GC.

Ifrit smells demonic and fiery to me.

Djinn and The Ifrit smell fiery to me. Al Azif smells hot and dry to me.

I think my skin eats leather. I get none from Whip and I have been noticing it tends to disappear from other blends. I just tried White Rider today and it started off a wonderful leather then poof it was gone! Maybe I should have slathered more but I only have an imp and my technique is to test a few times under various conditions. Anyone else have leather disappear on them??

Fallen refers to the big guy himself, Lucifer, as does Old Scratch. Lilith is the queen of demons and smells appropriately demonic. There's also Red Devil and the Jersey devil. My personal favorite however is Al Azif, said to represent the chattering of demons. HTH And I hope I don't sound like I'm obsessed with demons or anything, I just think these smell awesome.
