Juicy, almost syrupy pomegranate, with an undertone of oakmoss and amber. I agree with the above comment that it's a sophisticated red fruit scent, if your skin chemistry doesn't pull it too far to the syrupy-sweet or masculine side.

Initially a LOT of sharp cedar on me, but dries down - eventually - to a lovely raspberry balanced out by a whisper of remaining cedar and vetiver.

Hothouse blooms probably includes magnolia or gardenia or jasmine; has a definite heavy white floral aspect that, on me, overrides the aquatic and green elements that I can sort of detect. A lovely scent but not for my skin chemistry!

For me, starts out sweet and floral with a definite earthy note, and a hint of something a little woody and spicy (ginger, maybe?). Dries down to what I'm fairly certain is vetiver - a masculine dark green note.

To me this is a gentler musk than most of the black musk blends I've sniffed. More golden. This is very similar to Lyonesse but simpler and sweeter. And there's a slight "fuzziness" that could either be the sandalwood or the musk.

Menacing, meaty black leather and ink. A hint of something citrusy peeking through - is that the "ghostly chill"? This one is definitely spooky.

So far, Lyonesse and aged Plunder have been some of my favorites. Morocco is great on my boyfriend but there's something in it that doesn't work well on me (maybe the saffron). I'd love some suggestions for sandalwood/musk and sandalwood/spice blends, with minimal florals.

TIL that apparently I amp carnation like crazy. This was sweet and milky-rosy at first, but as it dried down it turned into all spicy carnation, so strong that I'd call it cologne-like, with a little bit of powder in the background.

I get almost all sweetness from this. Without looking at the lab notes, I wrote: "orange creamsicle coconut with a hint of sharp saffron that fades quickly, and an undertone of incense." I got this imp from a friend, and it's probably about a year old. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ages.

Blind-bought this one for my husband's birthday, and it's a hit for both of us! Smoky leather, tobacco, clove, incense.. it smells gloriously dark and primal on him, a bit sweeter and naughty on me. This is what I thought Evil was going to smell like, but didn't... although there's a bit of similarity there.

I blind-bought a bottle of this because I liked the sound of it and I knew that white musk works well on me. What I didn't know at the time is that my skin amps rose like crazy, and that indolic white florals aren't my thing. I also, back then, didn't know about the forums (hi all you lovely people!) or decant circles or swaps, so it has sat in my drawer for a year. After a year of aging, the indoles have mellowed considerably, and I can get a little of the frankincense and musk, but I still amp the rose pretty hard. My daughter, who is Lilith's age, adores it.
