    Improvisation

Yep! This is so heavy on the white tea and it's so refreshing. If you love tea fragrances of any kind, don't hesitate on getting this. The honey gives it a subtle warmth and a little bit of that stickiness that honey brings to scents. I don't get a ton of fig in the wet stage, but on full dry down it smells just like the fig tree my Grandparent's used to have in their garden. I am liking it a lot and may contemplate a full bottle.

    Beneath the Kotatsu

Not a stitch of cedarwood on me, thank goodness. This is all soft powdery iris and a hint of vanilla. If you like soft, powdery delicate florals, this is for you. It's comforting in the same way a gentle hug is

    Mors Syphilitica

Agreed with other reviewers. The oudh in this one is very earthy on me and the red sandalwood is woody, spicy loveliness. I honestly don't get a lot of the saffron but maybe that will emerge with some aging. I like it, not bottle worthy for now, but I will come back to it and give it another test.

Diligent Instruction for the Bridal Night

I get the exact same thing as roseus. In the beginning it's fresh strawberry with a little bit of sugar. Completely dried it's plain out strawberry Stekkjarstaur and I am swooning. It's perfect for Spring and it has the same gorgeous airiness that we all love from good scents with mallow.

    La Pierreuse

I have tip toed around for hours trying to properly think about what this smells like and I think I finally got it down. Like I said in my first impression. It has a very strong Gothic vibe to it and it's beautiful, truly beautiful. It's deep, dark, grounded, rich and mysterious. On the opening I personally get something that smells like burnt sugar, almost a maple sugar component and I even made my Mother smell it and she actually agreed with that.... I waited a little and went back to it and the burnt sugar thing was still there but not as dominant because I could definitely smell the roses coming through. Heavy, red roses deepened by chewy tobacco and a little bit of burning sugar. That's what I smell. Like you took a bunch of tobacco leaves and dipped them in burnt sugar or rose sugar and then sprinkled on a little bit of heavy incense. I am in love

    Discarded Popcorn Garland

I agree. This is all popped, plain fluffy popcorn. On me though a very faint hint of something smoky lingers around and it honestly brings the whole blend to life for me. I like it, but I think I rather use it for layering with scents like Mouse Circus or Movie Night. It's fun and cute.

    This World's Joy

Yep, pencil shavings here too at first. I was a little concerned and worried but that fear quickly disappeared because on the final dry down this is stunning. A very rose and violet dominant blend and the frankincense is merely a supporting player. The violet isn't super strong like say the violet in Faith either.......... More like the kind in Fleurette's Purple Snails, and the rose is more like a pink rose, to my nose at least. Pretty, classic and not stuffy. I enjoy it, but my decant is probably enough.

    Community Church Manger Hay

True realistic hay and smoke. But not straight up smoke, like a sweet smoke almost. It's really interesting and straightforward and I think it would be a wonderful layering scent, even though it's just as nice on it's own.

    Allegory of Winter

Without the blood orange, this would of been a perfect scent for me. I love orange and I love my smoky scents. But together, they don't work on me at all. The tartness of the orange mixed with the smoke from the vetiver left a very awful combination on me.

    The Haunted Beach

Classic. This is a classic, simple aquatic and Beth does them right. The musk is smooth and the ambergris sparkles. Something in this is definitely bringing out some sort of a sweet note and I think it's so lovely. Honestly, out of all the aquatics I own, this is probably one of the best and I am definitely considering a bottle.

The Ghost of Darius Appearing to Atossa

Agreeing with the reviewer above. Very very sharp resins, almost bitter smelling when first applied. I can only pick out the olibanum when I pay attention close enough. Everything is trying to fight to be the dominant note and it just smells jumbled together, not a fan sadly.
  12. Bonfire Night and Bonfire SN without a doubt.

    Sandalwood Scents

One of my all time favorite GC scents. It's absolutely perfect and since you like it, hunt down The Mark from this past Luper release because it's the exact same, just a gorgeous dollop of sweet vetiver. PERFECTION

    Outlaw

Anybody who knows me knows the smell of root beer normally makes me incredibly nauseous................ So, imagine my insanity when I saw this and went "oh damn I have to try it regardless of the root beer smell" well, I am SOO glad I did because dammit this is perfection and I need a bottle before they go away. The root beer is there, very present and dominant and in no way is it making me feel nauseous at all and I am most thankful. It's sweet root beer and the vanilla is a good supporting note to the whole scent. The leather is only faintly there when it's completely dry and each note blends seamlessly together and creates such a beautiful fragrance and it's oddly comforting to me. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

    Pumpkin Tobacco Atmosphere Spray

Echoing everything above. This is my beloved French Tobacco with a generous helping of stunning dried pumpkin, almost roasted pumpkin on me and it's absolutely perfect. I need a backup or maybe three extra bottles before it goes away.

    Little Lady Frankenstein

I was wondering what the main green note was that I first got and now I do think it is bamboo. But with the bamboo I get something that smells like mint and ozone. It's not soapy on me in the least bit and I am thankful. It's smooth, clean, refreshing, zingy and so damn addictive........... I cannot stop smelling it and to my nose it smells like Green Tree Viper and Embalming Fluid had a lovechild. Perfect!!! One of my top favorites from the Lilith's this year <3

    My Little Grotesque

SOOOO GOOD! Buttercream icing, yellow cake and the smoothest cardamom I have ever smelled. I smell a little hint of vanilla the longer it sits on my skin and each time I take a sniff I love it more and more. This is a grown up gourmand scent and I need it forever.

    The Twelfth

So cute! Banana, ice cream, yellow cake and something that smells borderline spicy. It's so fun and lighthearted and I don't own a lot of banana scents in my collection but this one is probably bottle worthy.

    Caldarium

I have to agree with Little Bird on this one. I wanted it to be perfect but sadly it's not. It's very "waxy" smelling on my skin and the berry smells like berry lotion or some type of candle. I don't get any rosemary or any of the other notes.

    A Little More Tea

Holy buttery cookies batman! That is all I smelled on me. It's nice and cute but I don't think it's for me.

    Heavenly Spark

On me it's all oak and incense without a single trace of rose and you know what, I am in love with it. Sadly, it fades within 30 minutes to a hour. I am hoping a few weeks of aging will help it last longer because I really want a bottle of it.

    Connecting Flight

This is so similar to Café Mille that I don't need a bottle. But it's certainly very nice and a very cozy coffee scent

    Circus Bear

Sadly, on me this is all gardenia all the time with a tiny tiny hint of a sweetness. I have changed my relationship with gardenia from complete hatred to tolerable. But even in this I can't handle it.

    Dinnertime at the Diviner’s Hut

The tomato leaf in this gives it a soft herbal aroma and it blends quite nicely with the heavy resinous smell of the frankincense. I don't have anything like this in my collection and I will certainly cherish my decant. I feel it would be a good scent for meditation for sure. It's very centering

    Motherhood

I only like Snake Oil when it has been aged for at least a year or even better, two years. This scent is all fresh snake oil with a heavy dose of bubblegum and something that verges on smelling like strong red musk and I know it's not a note, but that's what my nose is picking up. It's by no means a bad scent, but I think I need to let it age a while before I come back to it.
