I was extremely impressed with this one - in the imp, it actually smells exactly like strawberry champagne, right down to the bubbles. The minute it hit my skin, however, it turned quite unpleasant, soapy and chemically, kind of like powder dish detergent. After six months tucked away in a drawer, I decided to give it another go. In the imp, still exceptionally realistic champagne, but slightly less strawberry to it. On my wrist, not soap anymore, and pretty true to imp. Hour later, starting to edge a little towards detergent again. Not bad yet, but suspicious enough, though it's possible that's because I'm on the lookout for it. Overall, not for me, but that's probably a skin chemistry thing, so if you're looking for something bubbly, give it a try! =)

In the vial: Warm and sweet, a little like butterscotch and/or caramel. Really divine. Applied: Still reminiscent of butterscotch/caramel (or maybe toffee?), but not quite as strong as in the vial, and with an added something I can't quite place… Perhaps that's the books? A trace of something floral is hiding in there, but not too noticeable unless I'm looking for it. Off the top of my head, I probably couldn't describe what antique books and Scottish Tablet smell like, but smelling this, yeah, I can totally see it fitting the notes listed. And, wow, I was just hit with an impulse to toddle off to the library for a cozy afternoon with my textbooks and toffee candies. I wonder if I could convince anyone that a bottle would be an academic expense… To be fair, that is absolutely what I will do every time I wear this. Overall: Yummy and wonderful, and the perfect study scent.

I didn't get much in the way of books or oakwood, just sweet coffee, with lots of toppings and creamer and caramel syrup (and maybe a wee bit of Bailey's) - you know, the sort of coffee that only contains about 15-20% actual coffee. Extremely yummy!

Pie crust, smears of blueberry marshmallow cream and lemon meringue, and hemlock. Sugary blueberry pastry with a hint of lemon, and topped with a dollop of marshmallow cream. I'm not exactly sure what hemlock smells like on its own, but all I'm getting is dessert-y goodness, so either it's undetectable or compliments the sweetness perfectly. As it dries, the sugar calms down a bit (but it's still deliciously sweet), and the lemon and marshmallow become more prominent and gain equal footing with the blueberry and pie crust. Overall: Delicious, exactly as described. This has become one of my favorites.
