Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio; a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; he hath borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now? Grave dirt, bone, decay, angel's trumpet, and moldering scraps of shroud: the essence of finality. Hmmmm.....this is nice. I definitely get the grave dirt (more like soil) with a somewhat sweet tropical flower scent. There also seems to be a very light spice, but I have no idea where that's coming from. I'll have to try it again to see if I'm crazy or not. I was expecting something much darker smelling, but I love this just the way it is. It really is beautiful and very wearable. I can see this being in heavy rotation this spring & summer. I am so happy I sprung for the bottle!

Cacao, black musk, and tobacco absolute. Oh my. This is GORGEOUS!!!! I was a little worried about the black musk because sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but there was no need to worry and it seems to be keeping the cocao from being too foody. There is a slightly sweet note which could be the tobacco and balances out the other notes nicely. It does go through a brief powdery phase, but that doesn't seem to last long. This is a crazy sexy scent and I LOVE it. I wish I could do a better review but I can't keep my nose away from my wrist long enough. I will most certainly be getting multiple bottles since there is nothing like it in my stash. Oh! I realized that this is more of what I wanted Boomslang to smell like, but that went horribly wrong on me. Thankfully, this doesn't!

THE BLACK RIDER As she stood there a third man on horseback came galloping up. His face was black, he was dressed all in black, and the horse he rode was coal-black. He galloped up to the gate of the hut and disappeared there as if he had sunk through the ground and at that moment the night came and the forest grew dark. But it was not dark on the green lawn, for instantly the eyes of all the skulls on the wall were lighted up and shone till the place was as bright as day. When she saw this Vasilissa trembled so with fear that she could not run away. Black leather, oppoponax, tobacco, and black amber. Oh my. Ohhhhhh...this is wonderful! The leather is smoother than I expected and the amber is just GORGEOUS. Amber is usually iffy on me, but it's a darker, richer amber that doesn't go perfumey or powdery. There is also something slightly sweet, perhaps from the oppoponax? I'm not sure whether or not I'm picking up the tobacco, but there does seem to be something else here adding to the depth. Overall, this is just an awesome blend, though not for the faint of heart. It's an empowering scent and somehow unisex. I really like this and can't wait to try it on dh.

Divine, shining. White amber, coconut, white musk, oakmoss, and tobacco flower. mmmm....very pretty and very light. This is definitely not a "Look at me!" scent. It's also very well blended. I can pick out the individual notes without any one overwhelming the others. I actually don't get much coconut (which I was hoping for more of), it just gives it a touch of sweetness. As it dries further the notes seem to take turns coming out. At times I get more a touch more oakmoss, at others a touch more tobacco flower, and then sometimes a touch more amber. Under it all though is a gorgeous white musk. I really like it, though it doesn't have much throw and stays close to the skin. It definitely has the "divine" part down. I am so happy I got a bottle of this unsniffed. ETA: I wore this in my locket and after a little while it becomes more complex and it has a bit of a watery feel. Very interesting. I have a feeling this will age well and be really wonderful this summer when I want something that isn't too strong, but still quite sexy.

The Festival of Lights! On the evening of the twelfth full moon of the Dai calendar, small lotus-shaped offering boats are released out to the rivers and canals of Thailand, carrying prayers and wishes out into the waters. It is a preparation for renewal, and a time for releasing and banishing the darker parts of ourselves. Banana leaves, betel nuts, coconut bark, spider lilies, candle wax, and incense. Beautiful! Just absolutely beautiful. It starts off very green with just a hint of coconut bark and incense, but quickly sweetens when the lilies come out a bit. There is another note I can't quite identify, so I think perhaps it's the betel nuts? The incense is smooth and not at all heavy or sharp smelling, more like the smell of incense itself, not so much the smoke. Everything blends really well together and avoids being just an incense scent or a green scent or a floral. It's a gorgeous, balanced blend that I can see wearing year round. I love it already. And for those of you coconut haters, still give this a shot. It does not smell like coconut, but more of the sweet wood smell that coconut bark has.

MIRCALLA, COUNTESS KARNSTEIN (Carmilla, Sheridan LeFanu) Sometimes after an hour of apathy, my strange and beautiful companion would take my hand and hold it with a fond pressure, renewed again and again; blushing softly, gazing in my face with languid and burning eyes, and breathing so fast that her dress rose and fell with the tumultuous respiration. It was like the ardor of a lover; it embarrassed me; it was hateful and yet over-powering; and with gloating eyes she drew me to her, and her hot lips traveled along my cheek in kisses; and she would whisper, almost in sobs, "You are mine, you shall be mine, you and I are one for ever." Then she had thrown herself back in her chair, with her small hands over her eyes, leaving me trembling. Languid, melancholy fire: red musk, purple orchid, frankincense, smoky vanilla, Styrian herbs, peru balsam, tonka, Zanzibar clove, and patchouli. Wow. This is one freakin' gorgeous and sexy scent. At first it's mostly spice form the clove with the other scents in the background, but quickly the other notes begin to appear. I can pick up the red musk, frankincense, and patchouli, and the vanilla adds a really wonderful smoky sweetness. After it's been on a little while I can catch hints of herbs, but nothing I can pin down and they are light enough that this is in no way and herbal scent. The orchid is surprisingly faint and adds a touch of femininity to the blend. Also, for those of you that are scared off by red musk, don't be. It is not a a blend that screams red musk and it is really well blended here. Honestly, this is even better than I expected and I am sooo happy I bought a bottle right off. Back up bottles will find their way into future orders. ETA: Wow, this just keeps getting better and better. It's become richer and a bit sweeter and the red musk comes and goes. It is really really gorgeous.

Because I am very, very crass this year. Slushy white mint, vanilla cream, lemon drops, grapefruit, and yuzu! I was hoping this would be more bright mint and citrus with a bit of creamy vanilla, but it is very much a "snow" scent with blend of citrus notes. I'm not sure I like it since I'm really not a fan of snow & ice blends. Those who like scents like Pink Snowballs, but would prefer a non-floral and fresher version, you should try this. The throw is good and lasts for hours. The label is also cute.

"Right," replied the stranger. "I'm a seafaring rat, I am, and the port I originally hail from is Constantinople, though I'm a sort of a foreigner there too, in a manner of speaking. You will have heard of Constantinople, friend? A fair city and an ancient and glorious one. And you may have heard too, of Sigurd, King of Norway, and how he sailed thither with sixty ships, and how he and his men rode up through streets all canopied in their honour with purple and gold; and how the Emperor and Empress came down and banqueted with him on board his ship. When Sigurd returned home, many of his Northmen remained behind and entered the Emperor's body-guard, and my ancestor, a Norwegian born, stayed behind too, with the ships that Sigurd gave the Emperor. Seafarers we have ever been, and no wonder; as for me, the city of my birth is no more my home than any pleasant port between there and the London River. I know them all, and they know me. Set me down on any of their quays or foreshores, and I am home again." "I suppose you go great voyages," said the Water Rat with growing interest. "Months and months out of sight of land, and provisions running short, and allowanced as to water, and your mind communing with the mighty ocean, and all that sort of thing?" "By no means," said the Sea Rat frankly. "Such a life as you describe would not suit me at all. I 'm in the coasting trade, and rarely out of sight of land. It's the jolly times on shore that appeal to me, as much as any seafaring. O, those southern seaports! The smell of them, the riding-lights at night, the glamour!" Seaweed, ambergris, and sea buckthorn berry with exotic herbs, incense smoke, ship wood, and Burmese musk. First off, I just love this label. In the bottle....wow, it's all wood and musk and smoke with just a hint of seaweed and herbs, not much berry. On my skin, this is just gorgeous! I actually expected this to be far more aquatic than it is. I expected it to be more the sea with a hint of the ship, but this is all ship on me with the barest breath of the ocean. This is what the captains room smells like. As it dries it is just so well blended. It's also very interesting as it seems each time I smell it I catch a different note. This is the aquatic for people who can't do aquatics. Some might find it a bit manly at first, though I find it to be more unisex. I can't wait to see how it smells on hubby!

MELIAI Sisters to the Erinyes and the Gigantes, the ash tree nymphs were also born from the union of the blood gushing from Ouranos’ castration wounds and Gaia’s fertile womb. These nymphs were the mother of the Bronze Race of mankind’s third age. Ash manna and ambrosial honey. Wow, this is a lot greener than I was expecting. It a green tree scent almost pine-y but not quite and vaguely herbal. Luckily this isn't one of those green notes that goes soapy. It stays rich and lush smelling. The honey is more a background scent adding a bit of sweetness. As it dries down the honey comes out just a touch more, but it is in no way strongly honey. It's not a super sweet syrupy honey, but more of an herbal, raw smelling honey. Oddly enough, I could've sworn there is leather in this. My chemistry must be really wonky today. I can't wait to see what others have to say. This leans masculine, but it's strangely appealing. I'm thinking it might be more dh's speed though, unless the honey gets stronger with age. Very good throw. Overall I like it though. I can't keep sniffing my arm. ETA: It's been a couple hours now and it's calmed down quite a bit and the honey is a bit stronger. Still not very sweet, but more herbal and a bit less green now. A bit more unisex at this point. I have a feeling this will age nicely.

We do like to decorate (in fact, much of it stays up year round lol). Lots of skeletons/skulls, ravens, etc. in all styles. I really love DDLM and we usually try to do a little something for it. Halloween Candy, Decorations, and Costume supplies - What kind are your idea of FUN and which ones would you thoroughly dislike?I love candy corn (Brachs) and pumpkins! Also, pixie stix, fun size 3 Musketeers, Candy Apple Mars, and Snickers. I really dislike the chocolate flavored candy corn. I slightly prefer ground, but whole bean is cool (we have a grinder). Love flavored, no preference as to loose or bagged, instant is cool. I'm pretty easy as long as it's yummy. Kitchen stuff? Say spatulas with skulls on or an apron with a Halloween theme (not that I'm fantasizing about making myself one from something like, say, this or anything) I don't cook and prefer to stay out of the kitchen. Spooky trees, toads are cool, neat looking moths, stuff like that. Do you like plushies? Maybe. I would love an Alien/facehugger type one, but not sure what else. Lip balm: tin or tube? Neither please. Do you or would you burn incense? What kind? How about scented (or unscented) candlesWe can't burn incense anymore due to asthma and migraine issues. Not earrings since I don't really wear traditional earrings. Maybe a pendant? Something like a hatchet or body part? More gruesome than cute? lol Are there any books or short stories (or poems) you especially associate with this time of year or always want to reread in autumn? Not really Speaking of wishlists, and here is another question... could everyone please link to their various wishlists? http://amzn.com/w/3F0132MYIB7XS List 5 or 6 TV shows/Movies that you enjoy watching (and possible villains, if you can think of any): My list: Doctor Who (Weeping Angels, the Silence) Firefly Supernatural Alien series (love these, in fact I'm getting a xenomorph tattoo next year). Star Trek (not the new movies though ) Twin Peaks The Walking Dead I love movies like Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Evil Dead, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Hellraiser, etc). Hated Candies? Black licorice, taffy, twizzlers, anything really chewy (like caramels). How sick a sense of humour can you cope with? I have a truly sick and twisted sense of humor. I'm open to trying whatever. Just no hair stuff (check out my avatar for explanation lol). Also, no face products please (my piercings can get irritated by certain things). What kind of tea do you like? Mate teas are just about the only ones I drink anymore. Vintage scary? Yes! Do you have any favorite Halloween/fall-theme animals? Bats. I do a lot of resin work, specifically, insects in resin. Would receiving one be horrifying? Okay? Interesting? Sure! Sounds cool. (just not roaches please) What type of cellphone/mobile, music player, reader, tablet, or other gadgets are your babies? What are your opinions on accessories for them? Hard/soft cases, decals, danglies, carriers, etc? I have a Samsung Note 2 but I don't need anything for it (not that they even make much for my phone). Fountain pens? Nope. Are there any animals, birds or bugs that you don't like, scare you, or just plain freak you out? For example, I had a co-worker who thought owls were creepy, and personally, I'm not a huge fan of cockroaches. There aren't any that scare me. though I found crickets, cockroaches and palmetto bugs disgusting, cicadas both weird me out and intrigue me (there are some kick ass cicada ear weights I'm saving up for), and spiders don't really bother me too much. Oh, and I hate possums. As for little plastic critters, no thank you. My animals have not been graced with much intelligence so they will try to eat them.

Do you have Etsy/Amazon wishlists linked somewhere? All of my wishlists are here: http://amzn.com/w/3F0132MYIB7XS Do you have a Tumblr/Pinterest you'd share with everyone (these can be really informative as to style?) http://pinterest.com/msfortuneteller/ favorite candles, companies and/or candle scents? I really like cinnamon and pomander ball type scents for the winter. favorite kinds of tea (flavors, companies) I like just about any type of tea except berry flavored teas generally. I especially like mint, chocolate, and chai flavored teas. I love teavana, but my favorite tea place is a local one called Discover Tea. any of the Villainess autumn or winter soaps appeal? Another soap company you'd like more? I don't really need soaps, but anything moisturizing that I can use in the shower would be good. I like Villainess, but especially Cocoa Pink. Any of the bpal Halloween scents you wished you'd gotten? Any Yule scents you're hoping to see come back? Looking forward to Lick It coming back (I have every year so far). Sweets? I love dark chocolate and candy canes. Also, Pixi Stix which I can't seem to find anymore. Paintbox Soaps?I've never tried anything from Paintbox Soaps (I don't think?), but these sugar scrubs sound nice: The Queen is Dead, Heima (oh, the mints ), This Charming Man, and Blackbird. I would also love to try any of those in the sample 2oz size of the hand cream. I just discovered a new (to me) candle company, Witch City Wicks. Does anything you see there tempt you? The Holy Ground candle tin sounds good. What about desires (limited edition or not) from Black Phoenix Trading Post? Any of the elemental massage oils, but especially Ignis. I've been wanting to try that for a looong time. Ereader? I have a kindle, but I have a ton of books on it atm (like 200+). How do you feel about other perfume etailers? Any you love, hate, are dying to try? How about perfume with alcohol in – do you love all perfumes, do you dislike commercial brands but not mind the inclusion of alcohol if it's a boutiquey or fancy company with unique scents, or are you strictly oils? I am a perfume ho so I like to spread the love. I'm also ok with alcohol as long as it doesn't smell like generic perfume. For instance, I really love the Jennifer Aniston perfume (don't laugh). I also like the Demeter perfumes (have some on my wishlist). Other than fragrance oils/perfumes what is your number one (or a tie between 2-3) favorite type of toiletry or scenty item? I love the Glissade from Cocoa Pink (would love some in the Green Apple scent). Also, scented body oils. Pirates or ninjas? Pirates all the way! Zombies – love, hate, obsessed, don't care, think they're coming for us any day now, other immediate/passionate thoughts? Love zombies! Zombie movies, shows, yarn, you name it. Bpal oils: Mme Moriarty (I regret selling mine ) and Badgers (go ahead and laugh). Disney Villain? Not a big Disney person, but probably Malificent and the Shadow Man. Ok, in addition to my question about the hand dyed things, particularly scarves (thanks for answering that btw, everyone who did....I wonder if it gives things away too much to say my swapper did not answer that question though?), I have another: I love dyed stuff. Maybe deep purples & greys or black. Are there any Yule type scents you like or don't like? Like do you generally avoid fir or evergreen scents? Or only like them in some things? Or in do you love candy cane scents? Etc. Tree scents are fine for room scents, but generally not something I wear perfume wise, where candy cane scents I like in perfumes, lotions, etc but not as a room scents. Tree, pine, wreath scents= room Candy cane & sweeter type scents= body Spicy scents= either Smokey scents= body Also, would you be interested in made just for you products like hand cream or salves, or.....? (I have just finished taking an herbalism class and am on a roll with making herbal things....) Sure! Probably a hand cream/balm. Favorite Yules? Lick It's and Rose Red. What would make you smile the most? Tough question. I really love shiny stuff, so jewelry is always a hit (I have stuff on my wishlist, but it's pricier). Maybe a gift cert. to Elements Artifacts (even a small one that I can put towards something I want). I also love receiving yarn because as I knit w/it and then wear the item it's a wonderful reminder of the swap and the giver. But really just anything that the giver thought screamed me I would love and cherish. Do you have a Holy Grail BPAL? Something you long for but think you will never see? Badgers (please stop laughing, seriously). Would I like to share my Nightmare Before Christmas Swap loot with my Spouse/Kids/Pets? Considering I have 3 kids, a husband, and 7 pets it's not necessary. Candy though will be happily shared among the humans. Other drink stuff besides coffee and tea?: Yes, cocoa and the husband & kids like cider. \How do you feel about hand-crafted goodies? Love them! Want anything from holiday food companies? No thank you. Fandoms: Doctor Who, Star Trek, I have recently become obsessed with Firefly, and do horror movies in general count as a fandom?

THE TRAVELLER Oliver Goldsmith Vain, very vain, my weary search to find That bliss which only centres in the mind: Why have I stray'd from pleasure and repose, To seek a good each government bestows? In every government, though terrors reign, Though tyrant kings, or tyrant laws restrain, How small, of all that human hearts endure, That part which laws or kings can cause or cure! Still to ourselves in every place consign'd, Our own felicity we make or find: With secret course, which no loud storms annoy, Glides the smooth current of domestic joy. The lifted axe, the agonizing wheel, Luke's iron crown, and Damien's bed of steel, To men remote from power but rarely known, Leave reason, faith, and conscience, all our own. A wanderer, poised at the point where three great countries meet, ruminating on government, nationalism, religion, and personal character: boot leather, pipe tobacco, and the dust of soft resins, herbs, and soil-flecked gravel picked on long, solitary travels. Since Meliai turned masculine, I thought wth I'll try dh's Traveller also. LOL In the bottle: LEATHER! Wet on the skin: Holy sh!t this has some throw. A little goes a looong way. It's still mostly leather, but this is one of the richest leather notes I've ever smelled. Honestly, it's just incredible and fits the description perfectly. Beneath the leather I can smell the herbs and tobacco and just a general feel of the outdoors. It's incredible and unlike anything I've smelled before. Drying down: It just gets better and better. Everything just blends together more and becomes more complex. I am beginning to get a bit of the gravel now as well, I think. This traveller is damn sexy. I will be slathering (well, maybe not slathering, it's quite strong) dh as soon as he walks in the door. It's easily one of my favorite oils that I've tried in a long time. It really does tell a story and paints a very vivid image.

Not that I can think of. Are you OK with "special deliveries"? I'm not sure about this one. Let me think about it. What are some things you are OK with receiving gently used or homemade, and some things you absolutely do not want if they are gently used or homemade? As long as it's not a health hazard , sure. And now a new question: I live near a Mast General Store. It has lots of vintage-y toys, southern foods (jams, jellies, spices) and vintage candy. Is there anything I can get for you? I don't really have any particular designers I like (most that I know of are a bit stuffy for my taste and I don't really care about labels) but I do really like most Fossil bags (they hold up really well). I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com. http://www.amazon.co...=I2Q3NSEVJOFSVL http://www.amazon.co...=I3KRYPONL54S9A http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_1 http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_2 http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_8 Favorite fandom characters? (perfume, eco/"green," skin care, hair, music downloads, cosmetics, soap...). I used to but wasn't crazy about them. Nudes? Not a problem here and either gender is fine. What's one thing you want, right now, that you're having difficulty finding? Pixi Stix. Seriously. I can't find them anywhere around here lately. Same with wintergreen tic tacs. Owls? They're cool, but I don't collect them or anything. What do you do to take care of yourself when you're having a rough day (sick, life not going your way, whatever)? Put on a good zombie movie or silly movie, bury myself under fleece blankets, knit and eat some sort of junk food (unless I'm sick, then it's crackers and seltzer). New JKR novel? Nope. Gardening? Not if I can avoid it. Witchee, do you want anything from the Haunt update coming up on 10/3? I know it might be too early to say, but if you could look at the preview on the night of 10/2 and let me know if you want anything... Batik glossing oil sounds amazing! Tinctures/salves? Salves would be fine, but no tinctures please. Is there something(s) that you consider too spendy or too frivolous for you to buy for yourself, but that you actually want? I would love something like this or this but I know I would never buy it myself. They are just so beautiful though. Lab/TP update? Ok, so I haven't been having much luck with the updates. We actually have a Halloween corner that stays up all year with my favorite items (they get distributed around the house during the fall then back to their corner in Nov.). We have a ton of decorations, figures, etc though and we are running out of room, but I will always find the room for something cool or strange (esp. Day of the Dead). My kids also love Halloween window clings (scary or cute). What magazines do you read/ have subscriptions to? None. Not really a magazine person. Hard work, patience, and harmony: Chinese musk, dark musk, and moist soil with black cherry, opoponax, night-blooming jasmine, plum, woodland tobacco, snakeweed, and cypress. Can I just say how impressed I am by all the new phoenix scents? This is another gorgeous one. At first it's lots of dark musk with a hint of cherry and tobacco. The jasmine is (thankfully) being held in check, but adding just a touch of sweetness. The soil isn't as strong as I expected, but it adds a subtle earthiness (LOL) to it. There is also a bit of greeness that keeps it from being too dark. The plum is there, but it's more of a whisper and the opoponax adds a really beautiful resinous quality. This is just plain gorgeous. Where Fire Phoenix made me feel bold, this makes me feel a bit "come to me" sexy. I love it.

Light, gentle, subtle scents for the office, class, expectant moms
femmefatale replied to Cegirls's topic in Recommendations
Honestly, for something like a classroom setting I would opt for just wearing a scent in a locket. I remember getting horrible headaches in class because of the perfumes other students would wear. -
I seem to be the opposite of most people in that ginger makes me feel ill. Citrus (lemon & orange especially) and mint seem to help when I'm nauseous, so I love Lustration when I'm not feeling well. I ordered some Yellow Snowballs which might work as well. Lick It might also be a good one (it's one of the ones I wear during long car rides since I tend to get motion sickness and I know it won't bother me). If you like, I could send you decants of each to try and see if you like them/if they work.

Ooops. I accidently reviewed this in the other thread. Well, here is my not so helpful review. In the bottle it's a sharp, somewhat pungent lavender with a bit of sweet cheesecake. It actually caught me off guard and gave me an "ew" reaction. But I decided to take a chance and try it. Wet it's better, though still heavy on the lavender (which I actually I don't mind). It's not as sharp and the cheesecake note comes out more (though it doesn't really smell like cheesecake to me, more of just a rich vanilla with a bit of something extra). At first they almost seem at war with each other, but as it begins to dry the lavender softens and everything seems to blend a bit better. It's very interesting how the herbal lavender and sweetness of the cheesecake note come together. I'm also pleasantly surprised that this doesn't go plastic, which the other version I tried (forget the year?) did. After about 30 minutes the lavender has calmed down significantly and it's really very pretty and somehow avoids turning into a baby-type scent which I was worried about. I think people who wanted to like TKO but found it too sweet might really enjoy this. The throw isn't heavy, but it's not a skin hugging scent either. Of course, I didn't put much on so that might be a factor. This is overall a comforting scent that makes me want to cuddle under a cozy blanket in front of a fire (which happily I'm doing atm!). It's just very pretty and I can see wearing it both at home and out. And just now when I had dh smell it, he actually closed his eyes when he inhaled and said "mmmm....I like it". I would say that's a thumbs up.

Love love love this! Thankfully, I don't get a cake or foody impression from this. On me it smells like a mix of booze, incense, a bit of smoke, and snake oil. Dh said it smelled like a sweet vanilla incense (in the best possible way). It's absolute love though and will get a ton of wear this fall and winter.

Sooo. Yules. Those just happened. What are you interested in, Bunny? Pumpkin Masala Rooibos & Rose Red. Any crafty pursuits you've been dying to experiment with? Would you like a little kit of something you've never tried? Do you need any particular items for your new or existing stash? With all of my knitting projects I don't really have time for anything else atm. Bunny, could you use a 2012 calendar, and, if so, do you like big monthly ones or the page-a-day type? No thank you, we have a 2012/13 one. Are you a big ol' nerd for any particular subject? Science, math, linguistics, etc? Or particular authors/fandoms? Star Trek (original & TNG), Doctor Who, and I absolutely love reading about different world religions & belief systems (both present and past, especially when it has to do with how cultures deal with death) and astronomy. Does anyone have issues with gently used things like books, etc.? Nope, not at all! (just please, no undies ) And I actually prefer used book when possible, as long as they have all the pages and aren't falling apart. The only thing I prefer to buy new are tarot decks. Do you have a strong preference for any sort of bath and body product brands (i.e. etailer/etsy type cos, department store/specialty brands like Lush) or are you cool with anything that doesn't smell like Bunnybane? As long as it's cruelty free and preferably without parabens. A question: reveal, yes or no? I hope so, but whatever my fox prefers. Any favorite cuddly characters? Not that I can think of. I've always wanted a plush Adipose though. Charity gifts? Either fair-trade type stuff, or virtual type gifts, like vaccinations or school supplies being bought on your behalf, or something along those lines? I'm very picky on what charities I support. I will try to make up a list. Bunny, are you interested in tarts from Two Timing Tart? What scents, if any, are you interested in? Kitchen Marmalade sounds nice, along with Peacock Plumes and Exp. #5 (if it's not already gone!). Do you need any holiday recipies? Is there something in particular that you'd like baked or made for you? And for those of you doing the no sugar/low sugar, etc. thing these days, how about savory things? No thank you, unless it's for the kids. Do you like/need boxes for perfume/knicknacks? Since downsizing my oils I actually have too many boxes now. Moxie Noveau: OMG, I have been wanting to try so many things from there! Bareknuckle Sass* Gunslinger Romance Southern Belle Tomboy Girls with Cigars* No Tanlines Dear Santa* Sinter Klaas Candlemas* Greensleeves* Bonfire Toffee Hallowmas* Ghost Stories* Favorites color- (to wear) dark grey, purple, red, coral, some pinks, etc. Most of the socks colors I picked in my Sock Dreams wishlist are what I wear. gemstone- citrine, garnet, opal, pink topaz, any blue (though not really turquoise), peridot animal- sloth, sea turtles, octopus, elephants phobias- small spaces, black crickets, ticks Nano-ing: I don't know what that is. facebook/twitter: No. If I were to send you chocolate is there anything I should avoid as in nuts, cherries etc.? Also, what are some of your favorite holiday candies? Dh's blood results came back and I am cracking down on what we eat for a while, so please no candy. Well, I guess a little bit of dark chocolate (esp. with mint ) would be ok and candy canes are fine since dh doesn't like them, but the kids do. Does anything from Fusion Sweets interest you? No thank you. Interested in anything from the Elements and Artifacts Yule update? It seems that everything I like is either reserved or too expensive. If your fox/bunny were to gift you with a giftcard from anywhere, as in any store foodwise, music wise etc. what giftcard would you like? Probably Sock Dreams, bodyartforms.com, or Cocoa Pink. If we are talking b&m type stores, then Sephora or Target. If I were to place ONE LAST Weenie order, (uh, which I will) what would you want me to include for you? (presuming that is that the order can get here in time, bites nails)? La Calavera Catrina or The Wiley Grasser. Those were the ones I was most interested in. Will you be away for any part of the round? Nope! Anyone else with an Etsy store and a member of Tradeaholics (or you could join) and interested in bartering for gifts for their bunny? Normally I would offer up some knitted goods but as it is I will be pushing it to get done all my prjests before the holidays. What type of books do you like? Dying to read anything? I have some on my amazon wishlist, the rest I'll be checking out from the library since we have so many books. Seriously. My parents threatened to never help us move again unless we donated some of our books. I think we have more boxes of books than everything else combined. Rose/mastic flavored things? Sure, I'll try them. i live in the city of the chicken wing. if i were to send you something savory, what's your heat tolerance (or sweet and heat for that matter)? I'm fine with hot stuff, though dh is more about hot foods than I am. Honey/beeswax? I like it in body stuff. Trader Joe's? We actually have 2 within 15-20 minutes, so we're good. Holiday movies: Not that I can think of. Superheroes: Not really. would you like a Paintbox from Paintbox Soapworks? If so, which scents? Not really, but thank you! Would my bunny like anything in particular from Lush? I do have access to an actual Lush store, and also wouldn't mind ordering retro items online. I don't have much from Luch (other than what a super sweet person on here sent me ), but I would be interested in the Orange Blossom solid perfume and the Chilli Tingle lip tint. Cocoa Pink? Definitely yes! I have a seperate section on my wishlist for Cocoa Pink goodies. Anybody into nail polish? Any color or formula preferences? I have a box filled with nail polish I rarely wear, and in just about every color, so no thank you. I really need to use up some of what I have. If you found a $50 bill on the ground and were to place a Lab order, what would be in it? (And shipping is free through the magical BPAL unicorn!) Bottle of GRR (I get a lot of headaches and just spilled much of my bottle of OOF during a shaky, very severe headache, but would really like to get GRR now since I think it would work better for me) and La Calavera Catrina, plus an imp of Pool of Tears. Tim Tams? Sadly, no. They are yummy, but due to dh's recent blood work, goodies like that are a no-no for now in the house. Talk to me of coffee. Whole bean? Ground? Flavored, not flavored? Decaf, whole caff? Favorite roasters? Drip, french press, keurig? BRING ON THE TEA? Love love love coffee. It is the one addiction I allow myself. Prefer ground, but whole bean is good too. Decaf, half-caf, full-caf...whatever is good! And I love flavored coffees as well as unflavored, as long as it smells good. Our favorite coffee was Highlander Grog from Avalon Coffee, but since moving down to Va the only time we have been able to get it is when my in-laws occasionally bring some down. Who else here loves or would like to try Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? If so, what would you like? I have a few lip tars that I like, but I'll have to look a see what others ones I want to try. Would any Bunny like to receive Holiday serving bowls, trays, platters etc...? Winter/Christmas or Thanksgiving/Fall themed? My parents gave us a complete set of Christmas disshes, etc so we're good. I know some people are squicked out at the idea of eating things that other people make, or the thought of deep fried cookies sends them into cardiac arrest. If you were my fox, would you like to receive some homemade goodies, or would you prefer that your goodies came from the store? Dh just got back some test results and I have now cracked down on what we eat, so please no baked goods. A little dark chocolate or something would be fine though. My lovely fluffy Snow Bunny, would you like a bodyscrub made by me? If so, what scent(s) would you like, if you had to think along the lines of essential oils? And would you prefer sugar or salt? I live cinnamon based scents during the winter, as well as citrus (orange or lemon). Socks! Slippers! Do you love them or not really wear them? If you love them, do you also love Sock Dreams? Love love love Sock Dreams. My Amazon wishlist actually has a Sock Dream section. Do you do a Christmas tree? If yes is it themed or specially colored or do you just have all different ornaments and such? Most of our tree is decorated with ornaments the kids have made, ones from when I was a kid, or just random ones we've been given. We can't do glass or anything breakable due having 3 cats that like to climb up the inside of the tree. Would you like a special ornament? Our tree is running out of room for ornaments and we don't even put up all the ornaments we have. Is there any sort of regional food/drink/treat you miss or have always wanted to try? hmmm...not that I can think of. hey swap partner...could you use a new mug? We have a ton since I had a mug obsession for a while and we have run out of room, so I'm not allowed any more. Do you like knitted goods? If so, what would you like, what colors, and do you have any sensitivites or preference when it comes to type of yarn (ex: wool: yay or nay? Do you prefer machine washable materials? Do you not care?)? I do most of my knitting since I can be pretty picky about fit and yarn, but I can usually use supplies (just lmk if you would like ideas and I can go through what I have and need). I live near a brick and morter location for a really, really good spice store. would you use cooking spices and if you would, what would you need? (it's penzey's if you want to google it). Probably not, at least not cooking spices (though dh would use them, I don't cook). Stuff like cocoa or something I can add to flavor coffee will always be appreciated though. ETA: I have one not that far from me! Next time I'm in Richmond (maybe Monday?) I'lm going to check it out. Someone has gifted you a $20 gift card from walgreens to ONLY use on things for yourself. no necessities here. what do you buy? Burt's Bees Peppermint foot cream, Garnier Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller (mine is almost finished) and if there is enough left over, a travel size yummy smelling hand cream (my hands get so dry during the winter).

Visiting the Temple of Auspicious Fortune Alone on the Winter Solstice
femmefatale posted a topic in Yules
Deep at the bottom of the well no warmth has yet returned, The rain which sighs and feels so cold has dampened withered roots. What sort of man at such a time would come to visit the teacher? As this is not a time for flowers, I find I've come alone. Temple incense, rain, and dust. Wow. I get to be the first to review this. At first this is all salty aquatic (in the bottle and on the skin). It smells mostly like a typical rain cologne scent or rain room scent. Where is my beautiful incense??? Where is my dust??? As it begins to dry, I begin to catch the barest hint of something dusty. Still not much incense. There is something slightly sweet in the background, but I was really hoping for a deeper scent with a touch of rain, but nope, this is all rain on me. Hopefully with some time the incense will come out more. It's very nice how it is, just not the scent I was so hoping for. Maybe it would work better on hubby. ETA: I'm not giving up on this yet. After a while it has something interesting in the back I can't quite catch. And somehow, they really did get the dust in this. It makes me very nostalgic for when we used to live near the water, but it's not at all what I would call a summer scent. I can't wait to see what it'll be like after it's sat for a little while. ETA again: After only a few days of settling, I do think I am catching a bit of the incense. It's more of a darker, slightly sweeter impression, ye is somehow stays very bright smelling. I keep sniffing it to see if I can pin it down, but I can't. It's a beautifully frustrating scent. LOL -
Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm smelling. Everything is very well blended, though I think the tobacco and vanilla are coming out the most. I didn't like it when I first applied it, it was too dusty and stale smelling. Once the vanilla came out and the juicier notes began to show I liked it more, but it's still rather "old" smelling. Not "old lady" just...old. Very hard to describe it. Not unappealing, just not something I would normally wear. I will likely keep my decant, but probably won't get a bottle.

mmmm...wet this is a juicy cright cranberry scent. Yum! As it dries the florals start to come out along with the musks (lightly) and something I can't quite put my finger on. I think perhaps it's the squash note. I get very little to no coconut husk or lemongrass (surprisingly!). It's a very confusing blend, but extremely pretty. I actually like this a lot more than I expected. It's youtherful and fresh, without being girly or too young smelling. I think this would make a lovely scent for Spring (the name is definitely fitting!) and though I need to try a couple more times to be sure, I might end up having to get a bottle.
