Very pretty! It's mostly sweetened pear, tea, and a hint of carnation. It's a very fresh summery scent and just...pretty. As much as I like it, I don't think it's really "me". But I'm glad I got to try it!

On me this is mostly sweet pea with candied fruit (berry?). Very pretty, but not something I can see wearing as a perfume. For people who like the brighter, sweeter scents, this is a must have.

Sweet coconut! I LOVE this!!! I get virtually no back pepper, which I am so relieved about. Need a bottle. Now.
-
As soon as I sniffed this I thought "Yankee Candle around Halloween!". I had my family sniff it and they said the same thing without me mentioning it. It's very pretty and something I would love the house to smell like, just not something I want to wear as a perfume.

Dries down to a slightly sweetened musky vanilla. The spice is subtle at first but fades quickly. I like this!

Durian Fruit Infused Honey with Brandy
femmefatale replied to angelicruin's topic in Limited Editions
At first this smelled just delicious. Super juicy with a hint of sweetness from the honey. Then the brandy came out and killed it for me (brandy tends to smell rancid on me after a little while). If it wasn't for the brandy, this would be a definite bottle purchase. -
I love this one when it's wet. Very green and outdoors smelling with a hint of honey. As it dries though it goes kind of flat and stale smelling. Boo.

I like this one. Like previous reviewers have said, it's a minty, slightly herbal, honey. Very nice for summer. It actually reminds me of a honey version of Anesthesia.

Yum! This is a delicious spiced honey with just a hint of greenery. I really like this and could see wearing it a lot this fall/winter. Might have to pick up a bottle.

When I used to live in this beach resort town I worked at a little eclectic hippie shop that sold books, incense, oils, etc. Panther Moon smells like that shop when we used to burn the heavier smelling incense in the evenings. I loved that smell mingling with the salty breezes. At first this is almost all champaca, labdanum, and myrrh. I'm not crazy about this stage as it's almost too resinous, but as it dries the dark musk and ambergris come out to help soften the resins. I would never have guessed there was anise in this. It's still very much an incense/head shop type of blend, but I actually like it more than I expected. I have a feeling this will age beautifully and I could see wearing this alot this fall/winter, or on rainy days like today. Also, it's quite strong at first, so don't slather right away. It does seem to calm down quickly though, but to be on the safe side, take it easy with this one.

WTH? If I hadn't read the notes, I would have no idea there was eucalyptus or lime in this. It smells mostly of soft leather with a hint of soapiness and the mint bringing up the rear. I am so heartbroken over this one. Luckily, I think dh likes it so it's going in his box. It's a good "work scent" for him, many but fresh and clean smelling.
-
I am so heartbroken about this one. I'm found that I just can't handle the champagne note which is what gives this it's fizziness. It just makes me a bit queasy. On me it's smells like lemon or lime cleaner and pool.

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. It's a lavender mint, but somehow seems so much more than that. It's grounding and invigorating at the same time and just makes me feel pretty. I was worried that this might smell medicinal and it does a bit in the bottle but on the skin it blossoms into something just beautiful and very wearable. This easily shot into my top 5 and many bottles will be needed.

Gorgeous, just gorgeous. It's not nearly as spicy or heavy as I expected. It's more resinous with a nice blend of spice and creamy sweetness. I am so happy I took the chance on a bottle.

I almost didn't try this one since amber rarely works well on me, but after reading all the reviews I decided to give a shot. It's actually very pretty and the amber doesn't kill it. Lol. There is a slightly powdery note, but it's not altogether a bad thing. The vanilla is a sweeter floral one (which could be the vanilla playing with the tiare) and the sandalwood balances it out nicely. The cardamom is virtually invisible. There's something here that reminds me of a note in Boo, I'm thinking maybe it's the same type of vanilla? I do like it a lot more than I expected, though I'm not sure if I like it enough for 2 bottles. I'll let them age a bit and see.

Fuwu Bansaku in Ruined Temple With Black Monster on Umbrella
femmefatale replied to windbourne's topic in Event Exclusive Oils
Hot damn this is even better than I expected! At first, yes this is a blast of vetiver, but that seems to calm down quite a bit quickly and out comes the black coconut (no sunscreen or foody coconut here!) and tonka, with a bit of the red sandalwood (which seems to work on me, unlike the white). The black currant is pretty much silent, which I am quite happy with. Granted if you really really hate vetiver, this probably isn't for you, but still give it a shot if you get the chance. This is an incredibly sexy, smoky, somewhat evil smelling coconut blend. I have Tiki King and while I can see how they might be in the same family, this is quite different and I think I actually like this more. In fact, I *love* this. -
Coconut is my absolute favorite note. Some of my favorite coconut blends are: Ashlultum: Babylonian musk, vanilla tea, tonka, tobacco, coconut, hyssop, and lilac. The coconut in this isn't very strong on me, but it is there just enough to balance out the other notes. It's very pretty. Death Adder: Snake Oil with vetiver, black coconut, vanilla, and opoponax. This is definitely a darker coconut scent. IMO it's in the same family as Tiki King. Elegba: coconut, tobacco and sweet, sugared rum Love love love this! Very sexy and a great summer scent without being fruity. Goblin: Black coconut, gnarly patchouli, and sweet benzoin This is another love of mine. it's not as dark smelling as it sounds, though it is a very earthy coconut smell. Grog: Ok, so this doesn't list any notes, but I swear it has some coconut in it. This smells very festive to me and a a great year round scent. Mlle Lilith, the Fortune Teller (mentioned in an above post): More pomegranate than coconut on me, but still very pretty and summery. Pet Magah Bird (also mentioned in an above post): I actually like this a ton more than I expected to. Coconut-y and fruity. Another great summer scent. Snake Charmer resurrected: Arabian musk and exotic spices slinking through Egyptian amber, enticing vanilla, and a serpentine blend of black plum, labdanum, ambrette, benzoin and black coconut. The coconut (on me) is more of a hint in this, but I had to mention it since It's one of my all time favorite scents. Spooky: A maddeningly festive blend of warm, buttery rum, cocoa, coconut, vanilla and a jolt of peppermint. It's a sweet, decadent, slightly silly scent, reminiscent of rum-laced holiday cookies. Some days this smells more like mint chocolate, other days it's much more on the coconut end. Love! Tarot: The Star: Lime and Coconut, with a bit of a foody vibe to it. Sweet and smooth and very cheery. Tiki King: This smells like a dark, woodsy coconut. Loooove this. White Rose (bptp): White rose buds, with vanilla tea, benzoin, orris, coconut meat, and frankincense This is another one that's lighter on the coconut, but very pretty. Creepy: this is the scent of butterscotch-kissed, caramel-smothered red apples spiked with a blast of coconut rum. Smells just like the description, very yummy! Others I've tried but didn't work out: White Chocolate, Marshmallow, and Coconut. Another one that smells just like it's description. The coconut note doesn't get beaten down by the others, but in the end it was too sweet for me. Dia: Turned way too perfumey on me and would never have guessed there was coconut in it. So sad. Obatala: Made me really really queasy every time I tried it. Black Pearl: Coconut, Florentine iris, hazelnut and opalescent white musk. The white musk and iris killed this for me. Antonino the Carny Talker: White musk, wild plum, vetiver, black coconut, verbena, fig, and lavender. Sadly, the white musk butchered all the other scents and scent it to straight cologne. Velvet Tiki: Beautiful at first, but then took on a strangely dusty, stale smell. Maybe it was the orchid (I think that's it?). If that doesn't go wrong on you, definitely try it because it really is gorgeous at the beginning. Blood Pearl: soft orris, blood musk, and coconut The orris killed this for me. Upa Upa: Went straight to spice, no coconut. But then again, I amp spice. And nothing from the Atomic Lounge worked on me. I know I'm missing some, so I'll be back when I think of them.

Oddly, this smells very clean and dirty (as in sleezy, not soil) both at the same times. For some reason when I smell this, it reminds me of The Most Interesting Man in the World (from the beer commercials). This is what I would imagine he smells like. It's spicy and vaguely salty, with a hint of tobacco and booze, and a touch of cologne. I really like it, though I think it would be super sexy on my big man.
-
Wow. This is so red and juicy smelling it's actually making my mouth water. After a little while the booziness comes out more and it's starts to smell like cough syrup on me. Boo. My chemistry hates the scents. Boo.

Fit for the finest oblation -- and your holiday table, too! Sugar-sprinkled pepper nuts with a bit of cinnamon, a bit of clove, a little cardamom, and a hint of nutmeg. I thought for sure this would be a giant fail on me due to the pepper nuts, but this is actually far nicer than I expected! The spice is quite wonderful since it's not straight up cinnamon (which I happen to love, but anyways), but more of a cardamom/nutmeg spice with the cinnamon and clove behind it. There is just enough sweetness to it to balance out all the spices and it helps to make it more wearable. I am really surprised by how much I like it. It doesn't have much throw, which is fine since I normally wear scents like this for myself at home. I think I might have to snag a bottle.

I'm having such a hard time picking out the individual notes. At first it's a very bright and summery scent, but then it mellows a bit and I could swear this has green tea in it. It's very pretty, but reminds me a lot of a perfume or lotion I used to wear years ago. This is the scent for someone who is scared by a lot of Bpal scents and wants something a bit mainstream smelling, with a twist. Beautiful, just not my kind of beautiful.

So there is a store in the historic part of town that is all wood inside and sells, wood toys, herbs, spices, soaps, dried flowers, etc and whenever I walk in I take a deep breath because it smells so good. That is what this smells like, just with a touch of red musk thrown in. It's a beautiful scent, just not something I can really see wearing as a perfume personally. I am so glad I got to try it thoough.

I did not expect to like this since I thought it would end up smelling like a tree air freshener or cleaning product since that's what happens with most "forest" scents on me. But it doesn't! Yay! it's mostly musk with a touch a rich greenery (but no soap or xmas tree!). There is a very slight cologne/perfume note, but it's not strong and actually is very nice. I actually like this a lot more than I expected to. I probably won't need a bottle though since I'm trying to keep my collection a bit more under control, but I'll try it on dh first before deciding. I think this would be wonderful on him.

This smells like my mil's bathroom. Lots of soap and stale smoke. Ewwww...must wash off NOW.

I had such high hopes for this one. It smells beautiful in the decant, but once it's on it takes on a perfumey edge I don't like (I'm guessing from the amber). It's so close to being pretty on me, but that perfumey note ruins it. I'm so happy I got to try it though!
