The BPAL scent Dana O'Shee is awfully swell. In general, I am a fan of honeysuckle and lemon verbena. And lavender. Some teas are nice too. I grow herbs every summer (the basics - rosemary, basil, pineapple sage, oregano, several kinds of mint, the verbena) and probably spend more time smelling them than using them in a functional way.
I do not like musks of any sort, or anything too cloying or heavy. My natural inclination is to veer toward fresh, light scents, I think.
I also think that the top of my baby's head smells absolutely delicious.

I curated an art show about comics once. I work as a journalist. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I read cookbooks like novels (and have been vegan for 6 years now). I have always lived in the same town in the southern United States. I have a thing for Flannery O'Connor and peacocks. I have a peacock tattoo that is quite pretty. My husband has many, many more tattooes, one of which is a diagram of the floorplan that served as the logo for the fictional building Nakatomi Plaza in the classic film "Die Hard." I think that just about every person looks better when wearing glasses. My favorite yarn is GGH Goa, half cotton, half acrylic, all bulky goodness. I have kept a journal since the third grade.
