    Almond Blossom

In the bottle: A mix of flowers - like others, I went into this thinking almond the nut, not almond blossom the flower, which was my misunderstanding. I can't separate the underlying notes well - there's a brashness to the base, which is a strength here, it's lending a fullness to to the blossom's scent. Wet on my skin: Much the same as in the bottle. The undertones are spicy, maybe a touch citrus-y for a while. A bright scent. Drydown: Oooh, here comes the winter tones! The almond blossom is now layered underneath a cool scent, almost minty. I'm not coming up with the right term for that underlying "spicy" bite, though I know I've smelled it before. I like the final effects, it does indeed come across as snow across a blossom. It didn't go powdery at any point. The throw is light to medium and it lasted an average time for me, about 6 hours.

    Snow White

2013 Version In the bottle: Soft snow, a little sweet, a touch of coconut Wet on my skin: The snow is still there, but now the rest reads as very light floral. It has a dry, powdery tone. Drydown: That powdery tone started to take over for a while, to the point I wasn't reading anything else, but then the florals started to come back. The scent is very light, and I'm finding that the distance I hold my wrists from my nose can change which is winning out, the powder or the flowers. This is a light scent on me with minimal throw - I have to bring my wrists pretty close to my nose. It lasted well, the majority of the day. Overall, I wish I smelled "snow" more than "powder" here, but it's a nice winter scent. I'll let it age and see what happens.

    Nuclear Winter

2013 Version In the bottle: First a burst of mint, then...wow, yeah, that's what I'd think radioactivity and decay might smell like. This could be what it smells like if you lived in the Fallout games. The mint is great, but not sure that I want to smell like the rest of it. Wet on skin: Sharp mint with an undercurrent of other notes that I can't separate out, but thankfully, the "green radioactivity" is far less strong. Something else is developing that smells more like a regular plant. Drydown: Pleasingly biting mint backed up with a eucalyptus-like scent. It's almost like an aromatherapy blend now, and throwing nicely; I'm in a little minty-herbal cloud, which is a good thing in my book. Later on: It took hours for the mint to fade, at which point I started sniffing again to try to identify those background notes. Each sniff gave me a different impression: Tobacco? Asphalt? Chocolate (!?!)?, Dirt? Chocolate again. I'm unfamiliar with the lab's decay and chocolate notes, so it might be all or none of these, but they're working together well. This is easily the scent that's transformed the most for me from bottle to skin. I was worried that this wouldn't turn out well at all after that first sniff, but the background notes bended far better with the mint than I expected. The throw was slightly above average for me, and it lasted about 4-5 hours. This is a keeper for certain.
