I am a real sucker for Achluophobia and I was wondering if there are any regulars that smell (a bit / almost exactly) the same like this one.

All the glory, warmth and majesty of the sun – darkened. A delicious blend of bitter almond, vanilla, frankincense and heliotrope, with a drop of cinnamon. Got this as a freebie with my order. In the imp: ALMONDS!!!! Wow, overwhelming and very Christmas. Wet: Still this sticky almond scent, with a hint of cinnamon. I like it After 10 minutes: Hmmmm... goes a bit plasticky on me.... less sweet, more sticky yuckie. Don't like that very much... After an hour: Vanilla... something sweet / vaguely reminds me of frankinsence.... Hm. Hm.... Not really sure about this one.... After two hours, the scent is gone...Awww... too bad! I really did like the beginning of it all, but this is disappointing.... :-(

I like this one. But that's about it really. I did not fall in love with the scent, it did not give me that "Woooowwwzzzersss" feeling either. It's nice, it smells sweet with an edge and it develops beautifully on my skin. At first it is mostly sweet, thick and a bit candy-like. After a few minutes I sense a warm, powdery floral scent which is nice, but not really my style. It is a feminine, sensual scent, but not what I might have expected maybe. I am going to keep it and wear it, but it is not my favourite.

This is a very complex scent. I am wearing this one for the first time today and not sure what to think of it really. In the bottle; sharp, woody, a bit chemical even. It reminded me of cough syrup but somewhat more floral. My first impression was; "Oh. That is not so good". On my skin, directly after applying; Hmmm... What to think of that? A bit flat. I cannot tell those individual notes, I cannot say this, I cannot say that....Still not impressed really. After 10 minutes; Ahh... it is starting to develop and I can smell different notes of sweet, powdry yet sensual scents here. Vanilla, baby powder, a bit of amber or even musk. After two hours I am finally pleased with what I am smelling here - this is just amazing! What a sensual, warm scent this is! I like the way it develops on my skin and what is does to me. It is sweet yet not innocent. I love it!

This is a very intrigueing scent for me. At first, in the bottle, it is kinda "In your face" strong and maybe even unpleasant. Wet, on my skin, it immediately starts to develop into a warm, spicey and very sensual yet not to dominating scent. I smell Jasmin and Cinnamon and the combination of the two is so unique and surprising that it makes me sniff and keeps me sniffing for the next few minutes. After 10 minutes or so, my 3 year old comes in, sniffing with his little nose all curled up. "Mmmmmm... Mommy smells nice!" And he climbs on my lap and starts cuddling me. Giving me kisses all over, telling me over and over again that I'm such a sweet Mommy and how sweet I am. Mmmm... so at least I have a positive effect on someone! Afterwards in the supermarket, I notice some people turn their heads as I walk past them, and I did only dab on a few drops! I do like the smell now, it is really warm, spicey and somewhat sensual, but not too much. Yes, I am glad I bought a bottle and I am going to wear this one - A LOT!

Even though I am pretty much of a Bpal "virgin" I do know what I like and what I don't like. I am a huge fan of dark, sensual, thick scents. The ones that have a somewhat mysterious and strong character. Achluophobia is THE scent for me and I am so happy that it was picked out for me by Dalandra - she managed to find this beauty for me. Out of the bottle the smell is very strong, almost too much to take. My opinion would be not to Judge the scent out of the bottle as it does not do it justice. Wet, directly on my skin; Patchoulli! Tobacco! Leather! All of those and very strong. A real thick, strong scent but wonderfully mixed together in a marvellous blend. Once rubbed on my skin it starts to develop into a mystic, somewhat spicy, dark and full scent. After 10 min; The warmth of my skin makes this scent develop into a full, rich patchoulli/musk/leather one, with a hint of Tobacco. I like how it develops. This is definitely a keeper! Happy I bought a bottle. Even after a full day I can still smell it and the next day (in the morning) I had a hint of Tobacco/patchoulli on my wrist. More scents like this one please!
