    Encroaching Madness

On me, it's a fresh, light, unusual floral, but with a sour undernote that I can't shake. Really not for me.

    Peach II

Peach II has a very zingy, almost bubbly feeling to it that actually makes it seem like a fruity aquatic to my nose. A very nice scent for hot weather (which was the main reason I picked it up in the unholy stuffy exhibit hall at DragonCon!)

    Pothôn Mêtêr

This is a really well-blended scent. All the notes sort of mix and meld together into a really unusual but delicious warm-floral-spicy-resiny smell that I love despite the fact that I don't usually go for spicy-resiny smells. Definitely worth trying for almost anyone!

    Thouros

A very sweet/fruity rose blend. Pleasant but I tend to prefer the sharper/greener/fresher rose blends...

    Toad

In the bottle and wet, it's sweet-sharp and metallic with little whiffs of spice underneath. As it dries, it keeps these but the spice comes out more, and it's really delightful. But then after about an hour, disaster strikes, and my chemistry turns it into baby powder! ALAS. Really disappointing because I was loving it up until that point.

    Plague of Frogs

Actually smells much more pleasant than you'd think from the name and description. I'd say kind of a green aquatic. If you like aquatics you may want to at least give this one a chance!

    Halloween: New Orleans

Bright, floral aquatic with a light citrusy tang to it- sweet but it's a fresh sweet, not a cloying sugar sweet. I love it.

    Halloween: Los Angeles

It's definitely got the smoke and burning grass here, but on me it does a really strange morph and ends up smelling smoky-medicine, which reminds me of getting a filling at the dentist. Yikes! Swap pile for you, LA.

    Mr. Qubit

I really love Mr. Qubit. A very sharp, fresh, clean/aquatic scent, a bit reminiscent of commercial unisex fragrances but better. It smells citrusy and pleasant on me and goes a bit creamier on my husband. A great, versatile scent.

    Bite Me

Wet and in the bottle, this is a massive, boozy blast of ALMOND with a cherry undertone. Once it dries and wears down on my skin, it fades pretty quickly down and becomes kind of vaguely foody/boozy. I don't think my chemistry likes this one.

    Boo

Sweet, fluffy, creamy sugar, but on me it dries down with a burnt/smoky note somewhere in there that doesn't quite work.

    Cloth of Gold

The Lab's snow notes tend to work really well on me, and this is no exception. This is a pleasantly bright blend, like a sunny day in very early spring, somehow managing to evoke cold yellow flowers while still giving hints of lemon and mint. Unusual for a Yule but a really nice addition for those days when you want to mix it up a little.

    Khrysee

Golden. Vanilla amber and orange blossom. "Golden" is a great description of this one. Khrysee reminds me very much of Snake Charmer- that same sort of sexy/foody warm softness, but with a whisper of floral.

    Katrina van Tassel

On me, this smells like a richer, less cloying Hope. It's much more a sweet/warm/soft rose than Rose Red or The Rose's fresh/green/wet rose. It also lasts and lasts close to the skin.

    The Unsteady Governess

When wet, this is a very strong, fresh tea with a citrus feel to it, very Earl Grey. As it dries and ages on the skin, a bit of soft floral emerges. Overall this is a lovely, delicate scent.

    Rose Red

My favorite rose scent and my favorite BPAL. Rose Red is the rose perfume I've always wanted; bold, lush, fresh and delicious without being overpoweringly perfumey. If you love roses, you owe it to yourself to get your hands on some Rose Red.

    The Rose

Very similar to Rose Red, with a bit less of the wet/fresh and a bit more sharp/sap. If you have been looking for a GC substitute for Rose Red, The Rose is an excellent choice.

    Snooty Rose

Snooty Rose is not actually terribly rosy on me. Wet, the sandalwood comes through strongly, but when it dries the plum really emerges. What you end up with is something that is fruity/sweet but still grounded by the wood; very nice indeed. The plum in Bordello hated me, so I'm pleased that it works so well here.

    Hope

On me, Hope is creamy-sweet but with an almost sharp rose note. I like it but for pure rose I'll always go Rose Red, and if I want a softer rose I'll turn to Pink Snowballs.

    Pink Snowballs

Very much a relative of Snow White. On me, this feels like Snow White with overtones of pink roses... soft and feminine and lovely.

    Snow White

One of my all-time favorites, a cool white floral that, on me, has a bit of the green coconut sparkle from The Star. Soft enough to wear any time of the year and always lovely. I have the 2012 and 2007 versions. I prefer the 2007; the 2012 has a slightly harsher, more bitter/chemically note to it. But overall, still a winner.

    Mango-Infused Pumpkin Chai Latte

In the bottle: mouthwatering spiced juicy fruit. Wet: the spice notes come through more and the whole thing gets warmer. Dry: the mango shines here, and the spices settle down to warm and ground the whole thing. Overall: lovely lovely lovely.

    Fearful Pleasure

In the bottle: fresh crisp apple and whiffs of cinnamon. Wet: more of the same but with more cinnamon. Dry: warm bubbling mulled cider. Overall: a really nice cider smell, great for when the weather turns crisp.

    Fighter

Leather, musk, blood, and steel. Wet: mmmmm, brown leather with a cool wet steel hovering over it. Dry: more metallic, but deliciously so, and with something that reminds me of a cool wind lifting your hair off your hot forehead. It makes my mouth water. I think I'm going to have to get my husband to try wearing this when I wear Whip...

    The Ghost Children

Wet: green, green, green, wet crushed green everywhere. Dry: it becomes a little sweeter with florals and a sort of whiff of something minty. Overall a cool and wet scent. Really nice for summer.
