I'm not new to BPAL. I've been around on and off for a few years now, but I always seem to miss the Yule update. I tend to get distracted by life once Halloween is over. This being my first year where I am actively stalking for Yules, I was wondering if any scents tend to turn up most years (like Samhain and boo turn up for weenies)? Are there any cult classics that I should be looking out for? And which would you recommend for someone who isn't a foodie fan (but will wear it anyway) and prefers woods, spices, 'green' smells, roses, lavender and other things one might find outside?

Light? On me this is all black tea, and it's definitely not light. I was a bit disappointed at first that it was all tea all the time. But then I started layering it with BPAL and it is brilliant! Skadi scented tea, rose red scented tea, othello scented tea.... This is my new go to body oil

To me, this is a cuddle with my partner. I can smell warm skin and cologne mixed with a bit of lavender and vanilla... A bit like our individual scents have mingled into one while we lie on the couch and tell each other about our day. It gives Me the warm fuzzies!

I don't really understand why I haven't gotten into Yules before. It does sound like it's more my thing than weenies. Thanks you guys! Peacock queen sounds like a definite purchase if it pops up again. And channukiyah - olive and Beeswax? Yes! Uh-oh now I'm all excited again. And I only just came down from my weenie high!

Oh wow, just saw the reviews to snow white and rose red, how did I ever miss those?! They look beautiful!

Do the lunacy scents have a commonality? Like a shared note or something?

Red currant, molasses, vanilla cream, moss, and patchouli. I get cream, brown sugar, and red fruit. A bit like expensive fruit syrup rather than real fruit. I like it. Not a lot of throw, though I applied sparingly and on my wrists rather than where I would normally put it.

Warm sticky toffee pudding. I can't smell anything I'd associate with pumpkin but that's probably due to my pumpkin blind spot. Reminds me a bit of boo but more caramel instead of creamy. It's delicious!

The Best Scents for Home, a Room, the Car...
moosey replied to amberbella's topic in Recommendations
My apologies if this belongs more in the 'beyond perfume' thread but as I specifically want recs I'm thinking it might work here? Anyway, I would like to use BPAL to scent my house using an oil burner, some wax, and a few drops of BPAL. I know it's doable I just don't know what scents would be best to try this out with and I had hoped some experimenting forumites had given some thought to this already. I love wearing dark and moody scents but don't want my house to smell like that. Particularly now that spring is here, I'd like fresh, clean, spicy, vanillary, woodsy, citrusy (but that doesn't turn to toilet cleaner smell). I don't really want booze, or anything that smells like cookies or candy, or overly incensey or smoky. Bit iffy about milk or cream (but if it worked well for others then id love to hear about it) And although I LOVE coconut, I don't think I want coconut either. Unless its not a foody coconut and its something quite cool rather than creamy Please only GC scents. I would feel too guilty using the more expensive scents on a room. -
I loved Tiki princess...I was gutted when I lost my bottle during a house move.... So pretty.
