I love the lemon + bergemot combo on this. I would have never thought to put the two together, but it works. The lemon balances out the calming effects of bergamot so that it's not putting me to sleep. It won't be a big bottle purchase, but I'm definitely keeping the imp.

I'm disappointed with Undertow and I really wanted to like it. Aquatics are my favorite, but I can't even detect an aquatic in this mix. On me it smells like peppermint cough drops. It's bright and sharp and not subtle at all. One good thing about it is that it's definitely clearing the sinuses. But this one is unfortunately going off to the swap pile. : (

This scent smells like Christmas to me. A nice warm spicy wintry scent. Just wish it had more throw. It's a keeper!

Orchid, white musk, and bergamot wafting over juniper berries, with a gentle touch of soft, earthy patchouli. Oberon is what dreams smell like. It's absolutely devine and I'm totally getting a big bottle of this. Bergamont comes out strongest on me in this blend which puts me in a lax, carefree mood and helps me sleep. I also love the staying power. I put it on last night before bed and I can still smell it this morning, 12 hours later. A keeper and a big bottle. Love it!

THis scent is a very floral scent. Wet, it smells like Orchid with a faint either honey or honeysuckle note. Dry, it smells to me like a bright blend of orchid and honeysuckle. My skin doesn't go well with florals, so this will unfortunately go to the swap list for me. For a floral lover, this is a must-have, though.

I was happy to get Midnight Kiss as a frimp from the lab. I read how one person described it as cherry cola. For me, and I suppose this is the wine coming out, it smells more like grape cola + chololate or chocolate covered grapes. I love it! The sandalwood and coa coa meshes with the other notes to make it not so bright, which is also good because bright scents can sometimes give me a headache. The over-all mood of this scent is "awake". It's also nice that this scent is hubby-approved (he only smells the grape in it, though hehe). Wet, it's much more strong than the dry down, though it does have a throw. After about two hours, the scent is faint enough to not throw so far away, but just strong enough to remind you that you're wearing it.

This is definitely not too masculine for a female. I love it and actually find it more feminine than masculine. It can only be described in intangibles: This scent is quiet and pensive, like a library. Its color is silver or white, its element is air. It's calming without making me tired. I think this is going to turn into a big bottle for me for sure!

This is a very calming scent for me and I absolutely love about 90% of it. the other 10% is when the grapefruit randomly takes over and smells like stomach bile for some reason to me. If not for that, I'd be getting a big bottle. It's over-all creamy and as I said before very very calming. I associate this scent with a sleeping baby or curling up to read. I wish I liked this scent more because bergamont is one of my favorite notes.

Without knowing the notes, me and my husband both were WAY off on this one. I thought ginger all the way and he smelled peppermint. Either way, regardless of the notes this is a very Christmasy scent on me - perfect for winter. I like the smell and it's a keeper.

This is a perfect blend of not too sweet and not too tart/sour berry-fruit mixed with forest scents as well. The only problem I have with it is staying power - I want it to come out more and stick around for longer. I feel very nostalgic when I wear it yet it's a very womanly scent, too. Very versatile and nice.

This scent went headachey-sweet on me. I wanted it to be more swank.

Namaste smells great and well-blended in the imp, but once on me the lemongrass and rose totally take over and all I get is a powdery pinesol. : ( ADDED Oct. 12: On wet: The lemon grass and patchouli took over the most On dry: Lemon grass, patchouli, and cedarwood with a hint of the florals I would have never thought lemon grass would be THIS soothing. A wonderful bedtime/rainy day scent. I just want to curl up with a book now that I'm wearing this. The hubby all he smelled was, "something citrusy."
-
If I didn't know better this scent I'd say was nothing but eucalyptus on me, but I know that's not even a note. It's very piney and crisp and really clears out my sinuses. It's a very bright, alert scent and I think it's going to turn into a big bottle purchase.

All I can really say is that they really nailed it with this one. If you want to smell like a church, wear Cathedral.

Aeval Sweet without being sugary. Normally sage doesn't do too well with my skin, but in this case it's not overpowering. Not a big bottle purchase because it doesn't totally blow me away, but it's nice enough to keep around.

drydown: This is way to peach-syrupy and floral for me. ::off to the swap list::

This is a very woodsy and earthy scent. I love it! Definitely on the big bottle list. It smells like itself. I can't pick out a single note and I don't want to.

I know this is a gender neutral scent, but the leather and sandalwood combo makes it more masculine. In imp: sweet + leather wet on skin: Leather in a clearing in the middle of the woods. drydown: More chaotic than wet, but the same imagery, only each note comes in waves, including the wine. Final Conclusion: Will keep around, but not a big bottle purchase. It definitely has a haunting feel to it. The color of the scent is burgandy and there's nothing "black" or "tower" about it, at least in the imagery it congers up for me.

When I read the notes, I was really surprised because none of them are coming out on me. in the imp: new shoes wet on skin: nice, choclatey/leathery scent which is vaguely aquatic drydown: reminds me a lot of intrigue. I really like this, but I'm not sure it's a big bottle purchase or not. Maybe my nose is just totally off today but this is exactly my experience with it. My husband loves it, though. : )

Wow! This scent is absolutely divine on me. and 1, I don't like food scents and 2, in the imp I thought I'd never like it. in the imp: strong, creamy liquid gooey honey-consistency butterscotch. on wet: strong butterscotch with a high note which just feels intoxicating. on dry: a nice foody butterscotch dominated scent with a perfumy draft to it that balances out the butterscotch nicely. I know there's some sort of alcohol in there somewhere, but I don't detect it. It smells great and I'm sure to be wearing this more often. A big bottle? perhaps! ARRRRRR

This is a mellow, soothing and almost sleepy scent. The rose goes powdery on me, but the rest of the notes balances it out. It's a great mellow floral for those who love florals but might be tired of how "bright" they are, but as a whole it's not for me. I'm keeping the imp, though.
-
In the imp: all i get is honeysuckle (even though I know that's not a note). wet: Oh this is divine. It's almost got an aquatic feel to it, but that's probably the Lily. Wow, I'm very impressed. A sharp, sweet floral with a lucidity like that of something reflected in water. Shimmery and nice, well blended. drydown: Same thing only the watery-ness is coming in and out instead of staying. Whatever note is producing that watery smell I wish came out more. Even so, I'm in <3. The scent is very well blended so that it's hard to pick out notes - the way I like it. I like BPALs to smell like themselves. Note to others: Rose usually NEVER goes well on my skin and in this case, it's really not ruining the scent.
-
In the imp: murky, dirty, alluring, and sultry wet on skin: dirty, spicey and sassy and alluring has turned into aggressive bekoning no murkiness. Cannot detect any of the notes and don't want to. Upon reading what they are, I can tell that there is musk, but I would have guessed something incensey, too. drydown: sweet and sultry, a perfectly blended word. Love it!
-
In imp - Dirty and old smelling Wet - Dirty and old smelling, but also with a doughy smell, too (not playdough, just like biscuit dough) Drydown - The apricot is coming out as well as that dirty smell and the blend is divine. I love it. Maybe a big bottle: I'll have to wear it a few times before I make a final decision. At least 4/5 stars!

Now this is a great scent. In the imp: a NICE strawberry fruit smoothy without being chaotic. Wet on skin: Strawberry and orange dominate, while the florals remain in the background. Dry on skin: florals are coming out, but my skin is still bringing out more of the fruits, which I prefer to florals. It's also a bit, but not too much, haughty in a way. I feel grown up when I wear it. There's also something bubbly about it like champagne. While I do like this scent a lot, it won't turn into a big bottle purchase, but it'll be nice to have a good fruity + womanly blend for special occasions around in an imp.
