When I first put this on, all I could smell was Red Hots. After about fifteen minutes, it mellowed down into a cinnamony-floral that smelled really nice... and gave both my BF and me a non-stop sneezing fit until I went and washed. I like this one a lot but it just wasn't meant to be.

How better to review Bastet than to say that it smells exactly a scent with that name should smell? Bastet the goddess is luxurious, beautiful, and friendly, but perfectly able to be fierce when she needs to be. It makes me think of a cat sitting regally, quiet and still, waiting for prey.

After the initial almond rush softens, Uruk is complex and warm. When I look at my cat stretched out sleeping in the afternoon sun, the embodiment of luxury, I think that Uruk smells how she feels. It's very sensual, though not really sexy. It's a great daytime scent.
