Beth, did you hear me shriek just now? I'm sure my cry rang out across the entire nation. How dare you deprive us of our Trouser Snake! How dare you! - tart, who thinks a scent plainly named "Panties" is a good idea (but not, actually)

Paris is not for me. This first is sharply lavender, but is quickly mellowed by lotus. The spice is a nice accent to the herby lavender, but not overwhelming. I would recommend Paris for someone who prefers sharp smells over warm smells, and wants something elegant but not overly floral or feminine.

BPAL for headaches, pain, colds, seizures, sickness, illnesses...

I'm sorry you've been having headaches, my dear! -
DDLM 2005...is much different from DDLM 2004. I'm tempted to believe that perhaps my bottle is mislabeled. Maybe they're just that different. At first, this smelled floral/rosey with a bit of smoke. Now it smells kind of like ylang ylang with some of the sweetness from Chaste Moon. It gets smokier after a while, like the smoke in Samhain. To compare 2005 to 2004 -- last year's felt vibrant and wildly colored. This year's is muted. It's pretty, but not what I was hoping for...

I was going to be a gypsy wearing Gypsy Queen. Now I will be a leopard, probably wearing Snake Oil. Well...I'll have to see how I feel after I put my spots on.

I've taken to Fae like catnip. I want to run and jump and roll around...wheeeeee! I must have more!!!!! :]

You might want to check out the thread on BPAL color associations and pick out the jeweltones from there. O has always been the strongest amber to me. http://www.bpal.org/index.php?showtopic=3687

Lampades is a unique red scent. You may also like Sybaris for its violet and spices.

I am not a person who likes to wear green/woodsy scents at all, but my suggestions would be for Eden and Intrigue. They both remind me of lush, shady forests with a very nice blend of notes in the background of each.

Nyx reminds me of several other BPAL scents that I've tried. The combination of myrrh and jasmine creates something like Black Lotus or Blood Lotus to me. Nyx also makes me think of Helle's Belle. The jasmine and myrrh are thick and heady, almost slightly burned smelling, while the rose brightens the overall tone. Not my type of scent, but I'd recommend it to someone who likes BPAL's stronger lotus, gardenia, jasmine, or magnolia blends.

What I first notice about Vinland is that is smells breezy! The overall scent is very light, but I smell something floral, fruity, and kind of spicy underneath. Maybe I'm crazy, but it smells kind of like a very light fruit candy with a little bit of cinnamon. Very, very light on me, though. I can hardly smell anything.

Shroud is dry and slightly sweet. The white sandalwood makes this blend very calming. It isn't my type of blend for a perfume, but it would make a nice room scent.
-
Simply put, Midway is sweet. If you want to smell like sugar, get this.

Sweet sandalwood incense...this is very comforting and calming. I'd definitely use this as a room scent. I'd love to smell this on The Man Friend. I'll have to attack him with this. I may not need a bottle, but this will be a very loved imp.

Oh...I could smell like magnolia in Hell's Bell right away. Magnolia and lotus tend to smell strangely burnt on my skin. Like a smoking, carmelized flower. This works well with the musk and spices for a sexy, womanly scent. Very deep and smoky, and maybe darkly fruity. I'll probably wear this on a day when I don't want anyone to cross me.

Hetairae smells hot! Fiery patchouli indeed... Upon first application, Hetairae reminds me a lot of O. The scent cycles through honey and ylang ylang, settling on the clove. Oh, and I smelled the dandelion thing too, but only briefly. I think it's a sexy scent but probably a little too dry for me. I'd consider a bottle if it were stronger on the honey. I'd recommend Hetairae to someone who likes Morocco but wants something even warmer with more floral and less cream.

Blood Amber is nice, but honestly, all dragon's blood scents smell basically the same to me. I get a warm, slightly floral clean scent. I'd recommend pretty much anything from Ars Draconis for someone looking for a good everyday scent.

Am I the only one who thinks Penny Dreadful smells like Pine Sol when first applied? As it dries, I can recognize something earthy, as well as a spicy ginger scent. I'll give this one another try later -- it doesn't really "grab" me right now.
-
I can't really smell much from Santo Domingo. From what I can detect, it reminds me of Morocco, but not nearly as dry. I hope this gets stronger later. I had high hopes for it.

Two, Five & Seven is like a greener version of Persephone to me. The roses are lush and bright, but instead of Persephone's pomegranate, that "itty bitty bit" of green grass is what makes Two, Five & Seven it's own. Very pretty and very fresh, but maybe a little too real -- this scent makes me want to sneeze a little! A nice blend, but I would personally pick Persephone over this one.

My first reaction to Eden: THIS SMELLS LIKE PLANTS!!! The scent evokes a kelly green color in my mind. I eventually was able to smell some warmth behind the greenery, but eh...I don't know if I can sit through all of the green to get to the fig, coconut, and almond. I'll give Eden another shot.

13 smells like expensive perfume. I like the chocolate (which smells like Bliss), fruits, and florals all together. I loved it more when it was just chocolate and floral, so I may decide not to keep it on account of the fruity scent. I think 13 smells classy.

Wet: EW! This is sharp and bad smelling. Drying: Delphi's sharpness fades. I can smell the sweetness of the honey, but I can still smell something really sour. I don't like this. Dry: I guess this reminds me of a really sour fruit rollup sort of thing that my dad would bring back from Iran. I'm going to wash this off. Verdict: Delphi is not for me.

On first sniff, Muse reminded me of Tums; a powdery fresh scent with a hint of lime. This is kind of what babies smell like to me, I suppose. Muse is a nice scent, something that my mom would probably wear as an everyday scent. Not for me though.
