No, you're not billed when your order is ready to be shipped. You're billed when the Lab has pulled your order and is ready to start working on it.

The ingredient list for Stella is different depending on which website you visit. Therefore, I research. Man, this one is hard to find. Usually if I'm trying to find out what notes are in a perfume I'll come across one website that reveals everything. No luck with this one. I've found that it has Bulgarian rose, mandarin, peony, rose absolute, and amber. Whether it has anise in it, we may not know for a while. When I sniffed Stella, I didn't think it smelled like Alice and I didn't smell licorice. To me, I think the strongest impression came from the mix of peony and rose.

Strange, I don't think Stella smells like Alice. I like it a lot, though...it's very smooth. There is a perfume insert for Stella in one of my magazines. I'll sniff it and report back.

Lab pictures would be so helpful, wouldn't they? I think Anita_Blake said her imp was very dark...perhaps clarification would come in how much browner than Dragon's Milk her imp is.

Might it be Typhon, Umbra, or Love Me? I can't remember what colors Typhon and Umbra are but I think one of them is red.

The fig in Mata Hari came out so strongly on me that I couldn't enjoy any of the other notes (all of which I love). I may try layering it with something else to amplify the creamy scents that others are getting. Damn you, fig!

I'd say try something really bright, maybe a fruity blend. Some suggestions: Persephone Kuang Shi Aizen-myoo Bewitched Mind you, of these four I've only tried Persephone. The rest are on my wishlist. I'd probably stay away from anything foody or spicy and instead go for clear fruit and floral blends. Pele is another you may want to try.

Wow, so you seem to be truly allergic to it -- not just a rash? Maybe you should email Beth to ask her what's in it. -

Dana O'shee and Dragon's Milk are really soothing to me. Old Morocco also has a smooth, soothing feel. I wear Dana O'shee to help calm my nerves before I go to sleep, or if I think I may become irate at work. -
Similarities Between BPAL Scents - GC and general discussion

Hello lovely ladies and genteel gents... I got an imp of Pele in a recent order and thought it was nice, but just not me. It was very light and kind of soapy on first application. I tried rubbing my wrists together to heat up the scent and get the base notes to come out. If I sniffed real hard, I could smell a nice tropical scent, but the light soapiness was still very dominant. The description for Pele: This perfume embodies her gentler, benign aspect as the capricious Goddess of Dance: muguet and Hawaiian white ginger enveloped by warm, damp tropical blooms. What should I try to get more of the "warm, damp tropical blooms" and less of everything else? Machu Picchu sounds nice, but it has amber in it so I don't really want to try it. I have Xiuhtecuhtli but haven't really worn it. Perhaps someone has a suggestion for something I could layer with Xiuhtecuhtli? Thank you in advance. -
Well, we had a cloudy day recently, so I picked up Lampades. I put it on because it makes me think of red (to counteract the grayness), but it's not so fruity or bright that it's inappropriate for autumn weather.

Oh wow, Peace! That sounds neat.

I was copying some flyers about a Samhain festival for a customer (I work at a copy and print center). He was severely impressed that I pronounced it Sow-when. ::puffs out chest::

If hypothermya suggests Ravenous, I will have to put in a vote for Hunger. It was like an orange creamsicle on me. -

You may like Alice. I believe it's super sweet on some, super rosey on others, and spicy on others still. It's like a sweet spiced powder on me. -

I think it may be ginger root as well, based on the description. I want Sudha Segara!! -

This reminds me of Alice in a way, therefore I love it. I haven't even officially worn it yet and I already think it deserves to be purchased in 5ml form.

The Boyfriend reacts really well to Queen Mab. I also bought Persephone based on its reviews (related to male response, heh). -
You might like... Alice - Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot. Queen Mab - Black orchid, sandalwood, night-blooming jasmine, osmanthus, Somalian rose, and Chinese musk. Mata Hari - Five roses with soft jasmine, warmed by vanilla, fig, tonka bean and mahogany, spiced with a drop of coffee bean. Siren - White ginger, jasmine, and a touch of vanilla. Tamora - Amber, heliotrope, golden sandalwood, peach blossom and vanilla bean.

With Snake Oil, applying it in a concentrated spot (not mixed with lotion or anything) was pretty sure to give me a rash within a couple of hours. Mixing with lotion helped to disperse the scent so my skin wouldn't have one really bad reaction spot. Wearing Snake Oil with lotion for several days in a row eventually made my skin mad too, however.
