  1. Wet: Rich thick sticky honey, with the barest hints of blonde wood and some tobacco note. Dry: Thick, cloyingly musty dusty honey. All honey notes do this to me..I should have known better from reading the reviews...but I am so glad I got to try it.

  2. What I thought would be warm and snuggly is sharp and dissonant. :( The coffee note is similar to the one from the Arabian Dance and it smells stale. The khus normally a good note for me makes the mallow smell like old sugar burnt dusty sugar and the wood is almost on the brink of furniture polish. I think this will age wonderfully...but I don't have the patience to wait that long for it. :P

  3. Right now this is all mallow and khus all the freaking time. And a wee bit to bitter. I think this can be fabulous if it is aged appropriately. I think I am going to snag a bottle before it goes down and age it.

  4. PURPLE SPOTTED SWALLOWTAIL
Black plum, opium poppy, dusky amber, opoponax, castoreum accord, dried berries, tolu balsam, clove bud, and lime.

Wet: Rich sweet, black plum..with the barest hints of berry and clove.

Drydown: This is a morpher on me! The balsam is present but it mixes quite well with the plum and berries. I get no lime in this as my skin eats it soooo quickly! I guess it's the castorum accord that gives this the a slightly perfumey edge...but not too much. Overall...gentle clove bud, with plum and balsam wafting in and out. Well done Beth...I bet will age wonderfully!

    ETA: Complete drydown...

Clove bud, amber, hints of black plum and castorum accord. Absolutely lovely, fruity, dark perfume. :D
  5. Gnome

    GNOME
An explosive blend of effervescent golden ginger and black peppercorn with sarsaparilla, gurjum balsam, nutmeg, gear lubricant, and smoke.

Hot damn! A ginger I can wear!!!!! This smells like a sweet spicy ginger ale with smoke and black peppercorn! I think the sarsaparilla gives it the fizzy kick. I just love it. From wet to drydown...that's all I get. This is pretty good....and also a right day kind of scent....meaning if I wear this on the wrong day...it will make me sick. A little bit goes a long way! blink.gif I am going to have to get a bottle in the next order. I can't wait to play with this one and mix with the other RPG scents!

  6. Wet: :This smells just like the bourbon vanilla smooch from Villainess! :thud: It is a bit cloying actually. :ack:

Drydown: I smell this gorgeous tea antique lacish opium scent. I don't know what it is...but I do really like it. I just need to be able to handle the wet bourbon vanilla phase. Either way...I am definitely keeping my bottle. :D

  7. Something made me try Neutral and Half-Elf today. So glad I followed my instinct. At first neutral was heavy on the skin musk...almost cologney but the berry and leather in Half-elf balance it out to give it a nice warm skin musk/berry flavor. I just love this and will be wearing it again. :D

  8. This just came in the mail and has had the opportunity to sit for awhile.

Wet: Woah LAVENDER!!! Mixed with tangy berries. hmmm...

Drydown: Lavender, tangy sour berry note with expenisve florals. The florals here are strong...but not too bad. They remind me of the florals in E. Pluribus Unum. I am going to let this age for awhile before I try it again b/c I think this will be good aged.

  9. Wet: Creamy Amber and Vanilla and spices. Dry: Creamy amber vanilla and spices and gardenia. As gorgeous as this is...I have been trying to figure out where I have smelled this before and then it hit me...:thud: this is the amber from L'Estate with spices and gardenia. The gardenia is giving me a headache. Every time I smell this my head hurts. Lovely to try but I am so glad that it is going on to a new home. :D

  10. Spicy kick ass rose that is a bit juicy. The leather is barely there....but the opium tar and rose remain ever vigilant. This will be wonderful aged. It is just deliciously dark spicy rose.....I imagine that this is what Cruella De Ville smells like. Instant win! :joy:

  11. I'm not the layering type, but since these are meant to be layered, I figured I may as well try it. :)

My first experiment: Fighter + Ranger. Yes, I know, that would be a dual-class character and I don't have an affiliation at all. But I'm not a gamer, so I don't care.

Verdict: This smells awesome. I was hoping for some noticeable leather in Ranger, but didn't get more than a light touch of it, so adding Fighter to the mix fixes that problem. I end up with a soft leather and woods scent that blends seamlessly. I tend to like the combination with a little more Fighter than Ranger, so it's not an equal mix. Maybe 60/40 instead of 50/50.

My second experiment: Fighter + Ranger + Good. I didn't really think I was going to love it because (for me) the sweet, delicate honey in Good just doesn't seem like it would work with the intense woodsiness of Ranger.

Verdict: I'm not liking this, although I can see it working for someone else. It just clashes to my nose. Something about the femininity of Good combined with the gender neutral/masculineness of Ranger and Fighter just doesn't mesh for me. It's like wearing honey-vanilla-floral perfume in the woods while wearing a broken in leather jacket. If that's your thing, then you'll like this combination. But it's not for me.

I'll try more combinations soon. This is fun, although I'm not sure I'd layer these routinely just because I'm lazy.

I had the same problem with Good. It clashes with the leather in fighter, dwarf, and Paladin. Try Neutral with them and see what you get.

Still playing with RPGs. Good with Half Elf....definite pass. The honey note in good just clashes on my skin with the leather of Half Elf. *sigh* It's definitive...Good is going off to the swaps.

  12. I'm curious as to what technique others are using to layer these. I'm putting them seperately on one arm/hand (say, Chaotic on the back of my hand, Halfling on my wrist, Cleric further up my arm) so I can enjoy them one at a time - and blending them together on my other hand. EVERY combo I've tried thus far is gorgeous.

I agree with Dark Alice - Evil ROCKS. (as does Lawful...Neutral...Mage...Halfling...ok all of them). :yum:

I put a line of perfume from my decants on the area I apply to and then rub them together. Not very scientific...but it works.

Today..Neutral Dwarf. Never thought it would work...but Neutral skin musk with the dwarf leather is awesome! :joy:

  13. So glad to see this thread! :joy:

Seriously...EVIL Is the way to go. I am an Evil Fighter some days. Others...EVIL fighter dwarf! On those days I want to feel elfish, I am a half-elf fighter with a dash of EVIL. And others I am a Half-elf, Paladin, with a dash of EVIL. Beth is a genius to come up with such an amazing scent. I literally love the smell of evil!

  14. Shimmering metal with white leather. The frankincense and bourbon vanilla are no shows. Layered with half elf...the bourbon vanilla comes through and the white leather dies quickly and still no frankincense....but it is gorgeous.

  15. Mage

Pine..resins...more pine...and frankincense. Not a fan of this one.

Mixed with evil...pine and resins are more balanced. Will have to track a partial of this one down.

  16. HALF-ELF
White sandalwood, beeswax, white tea leaf, oud, and a hint of sophisticated urban musk.

    Wet: Bitter...woodsy...and leaves.

Drydown: Soft leather, woods...and a hint of leaves. I think it's the musk and beeswax that is giving this a leafy feel. I am going half elf with good and see what happens.

With good this was a no go. The beeswax just stomped all of the Half-elf goodness out. BUT...with evil. Seductive naughty sex in the woods on a bed of leaves with a half-elf dressed in soft gorgeous leather.
  17. Dwarf

    DWARF
Iron filings and chips of stone, Styrian Golding hops, and soot-covered leather.

On its own...Iron Fillings and stone....true from wet to drydown. Mixed with EVIL... :thud: IT IS AMAZING!!! I am definitely an Evil Dwarf.
