  1. wet: As all pumpkin blends, when I first put them on...I feel like I have gotten hit in the face by a big ole pumpkin pie. The spice is actually overwhelming and makes me gag. :( BUT: As this dried the vanilla took over. Bourbon, Vanilla Bean, French Vanilla...all took turns swirling around the pumpkin to turn it into a beautiful piece of aromatic art. Dry..I get light pumpkin with a soft gorgeous blend of each vanilla. Do not walk, RUN and get this perfume NOW. It is gorgeous now and I bet in a few months it will be gorgeous. :D

  2. Violets love me. This is why I bought this perfume. Attar of rose loves me, so does tea, and Siberian Musk. This perfume was made for me. It is a winner. All of the notes blend gorgeously on me. I can't speak enough about how gorgeous this perfume is. Satan talked to Sin and Death, it had to be a wonderful speech. It's just gorgeous. :wub2:

  3. HATTIE TAYLOR’S HOUSE OF ASSIGNATION ATMOSPHERE SPRAY
The establishment at No. 111 Spring street is a house of assignation kept by Hattie Taylor. It is a third class house where may be found the lowest class of courtezans. It is patronized by roughs and rowdies, and gentlemen who turn their shirts wrong side out when the other side is dirty.

Balding suede, oiled leather, swarthy cologne, rough oak, and darkwood cinnamon.

Leather heaven. That's what this is. Soft gorgeous leather, with barely any cologne and just a hit of cinnamon. It's amazing. It's like a sexy young Liam Neeson came in my house smelling of rugged leather gave me a kiss on the cheek and left me with the leather smell of himself all over my house. I adore this.

  4. The pomegranate in this is so juicy and delicious that I Want to lick my wrist while this is wet. :yum: As it dries the leather and cognac come out plus something golden. I have no idea what the note that evokes an image of a black and gold gilded dragon but there is a note in here that does just that. I love it and though it's not an every day scent I am so glad that I have a bottle. :D

  5. I love the new Raven Moon. The vanilla is stronger as is the ebony musk. The chili pepper is milder. Much Milder. It's what made me part with my other two bottles from 2009...too much chili not enough vanilla. So glad that I got a bottle of this. It will age gloriously.

  6. Phantasmal patterns warp and weave through panes of leaded glass. Pale shafts of frail sunbeams push through, creating a sickly dance of violet, smoke-grey, blood-red, and blackened plum light on the oaken walls.

Wet: This stuff smells eerie and creepy. :ack: There is a soft rose here. But it's not red, it's not white...it's just a soft, decrepit rose. As it dries violet and something grey (maybe a light grey musk) comes out. This is one of those scents that doesn't need notes...it evokes an image of looking through a gorgeous stained glass window in a dusty parlor room. (There is definitely no dust in it though) I wish I could describe this better but I do know that I love it and will be keeping my bottle

  7. at first application, the most prominent note in blue moon is a very herbal lavender. as it sits on my skin, the OMGLAVENDER settles down into a soft cloud of elegant blue musk and light, kind of watery florals. it's very elegant but i wish my nose was better-trained to pick out more of the individual notes. i can't find any cucumber or green tea.

overall it's a bit too perfumey and floral for me.

I had this same darn experience. Maybe we are scent cousins porcelina. At first, while wet I had this gorgeous OMG lavender that I adore. But instead of the watery florals I got strong industrial cleaner. As it dried it turns into this gorgeous aloe lotion smell and then disappears. It's sad. But I think I will keep this to see if it morphs into something better with a few months of aging.

  8. Butterscotch candies flecked with dirt, encased in a shiny black shell of myrrh, patchouli, and anise seed.

    Wet: Butterscotch and dirt.

Dry: The beetle part of this scent is quite pleasant. The anise seed is not the scary nauseating licorice variety. It's more earthy, almost an anise/patchouli combination which is quite lovely. I do enjoy the dirt note and the anise seed but as in all sweet/foody scents...the butterscotch is making me a wee bit. :sick:From wet to dry down, it stays sweet although it does fade to a lightly sweet scent its still too sweet for my tastes and makes me nauseous. I think that on a really really off day I would be able to wear this so I will definitely be keeping my decant..but thankfully I won't need much more.

  9. Ted's interpretation of the Blue Moon. This is the scent of star-crossed love, folly, and passionate lunacy: white mango, French lavender, orris root, fig leaf, ylang ylang, mugwort, styrax, oakmoss, camphor, and black opium tar.

Absolutely gorgeous! From wet to dry: this smells like a pale blue moon floating over the deep blue sea with the barest hints of lavender and fruit and opium tar. It is so wonderfully light and beautiful. I highly recommend it. :D

  10. Sweet, watery floral with a hint of perfume.

Dry: More floral...still with a slight perfumey edge that I amp.

Complete drydown: I lovely subtle floral perfume. This is gorgeous but I think I only need a decant of this. So off to the sales with the rest of ya!

  11. This is such a light, ethereal scent on me. It definitely lives up to it's name. I imagine Billie Holiday singing one of her more famous hits "Blue Moon" beneath a starry sky. Too bad it's so light on me...b/c this is gorgeous.

  12. This is the truest scent of carnation that I have ever had the pleasure of sniffing. It smells just like the flower. The problem is that as I suspected,it messes with my sinuses and makes me sneeze. I adore this scent. I will cherish my decant, but alas I won't need anymore. :D
