  1. Rose, lavender, cucumber, and coconut have never tasted so sweet and delicious! Everything is floral...where you can taste a bit of each note and then just deliciously sweet. This is not something I would eat daily...but it does qualify as a special treat that deserves to be indulged in every once and a while.

  2. This is the mildest and most comforting sugary scent Beth has ever come up with. None of the components are "loud". Everything smells soft. The gummi bears smell like the tiny bears you find for kids, the apricot preserves are slightly sweet, and the cordial just whispers in this scent. Each note blends beautifully on my skin. This is a partial bottle purchase for me. It is simply lovely and not too overbearing. :wub2: This is what I imagine a little girl would smell like after using one of those fruity/sweet shampoos! :D

  3. This starts off with green apple, backed up with one or more soft musks. It very much reminds me of Snow Glass Apples, minus the snow/ice/cold note. Now as its drying, the green apple backs off and the musks stay light and a bit powdery. I'm quite enjoying this scent so far. :wub2:

:GoodPost: This sums up my scent experience with this decant. It's a light, green apple musk...and I can actually visualize the sparkles when first applied. And it is definitely related to the apple note in Snow Glass apples...just without the snow/mint note. Not so powdery on me when dry...it actually dries to a nice green apple soap. More like a green apple peel soap. I love it...but I don't think I need a full bottle of this one. Maybe a partial though?

  4. This Antikytherian Mechanism's younger sweeter sister. The oakwood, agarwood and vanilla make this scent gorgeous! As it dries the oak steps back and the agarwood and benzoin come forward making it sweeter. This...unlike antikythera doesn't make my stomach turn as much. I do love it! :yum: So glad I took a chance on this bottle.

  5. Sperm whale intestinal glop, oh how the fragrance world adores you. Ambergris is born from a sticky, black bile secretion that gloops forth from the intestines of sperm whales. When fresh, it possesses a rank, seaweedy fecal odor, but once it has been embraced by sea and sun, it transforms into a uniquely intoxicating perfume fixative. This precious substance has been used in cosmetics for ages untold, and is said to be a potent aphrodisiac with the power to increase psychic sensitivity and induce prophetic dreams.

Our ambergris accord is lightly balsamic, slightly woody, almost tobacco-like marine musk, and possesses a distinct salty animalic note that borders on sweet. The scent is extraordinarily versatile, and adds depth and complexity to a wide swath of fragrance families.

No whales were harmed, fondled, scraped, prodded, or offended during the creation and production of this accord. It is 100% vegan, and has never seen the inside of a whale's tummy.

    First review:

    Clean, slightly aquatic while wet.

Dry: Clean, musky, tobacco note. It definitely lives up to its description. So glad I took a chance on it and bought it. :D :joy:

  6. I think I am going to let my decant sit. B/c right now it's just red musk all the time. Beautiful, sweet, red musk that evokes the image of women eating cherries with red lips and laughing at all of the world's troubles. The image it evokes is amazing...I just wish the scent was lasted longer and that I could distinguish all of the notes.

  7. This makes me sad. :( Wet: It smells of pencil shavings and opium tar. Drying: It is a magical walk through a lush forest with wild orchids blooming everywhere. :D Officially dry: Expensive Orchid soap. High end, expensive orchid soap. :rasp: I wish the drying phase would last forever, b/c I would buy at least 2 bottles of it. *sigh*

  8. In the bottle: Om nom, nom, nom, nom

Wet: Om nom, nom, nom, nom

Dry: Om nom, nom, nom, nom

On my kitchen floor: Om nom, nom, nom, nom - combined with the salty brine of a thousand tears.

This pretty much sums up my feelings on this scent. Om Nom Nom nom nom...except with vanilla bean. This smells like the chocolate bar I received in the recent candy swap with ladymeag. I want and need to eat this scent...which means I don't need to wear it. It should be eaten....not worn! :P

  9. Wet: Fresh medicinal lavender....and something sweet. As it dries, the lavender stays true to form the violet comes out and swirls around with whatever is sweet in this imp. This is so pleasant and intoxicatingly relaxing. I adore this and will have to buy a full or partial bottle stat! :wub2:

  10. From wet to dry down: Jasmine sambac and orris root. Light gorgeous Jasmine and orris root. This will need to age a bit so the jasmine smoothes out and the benzoin kicks in. But I really really like this. It's very pretty and ethereal. :D
