  1. I can't even dare to put this on. Rice wine and tea roses. NO NO NOTES! This must go!!!

Not one to be daunted by the perfumes of Beth..I decided to boldly put this on. Of course...its gorgeous on me. This the only perfume where cream and rice wine have ever worked on my skin. I smell sweet, and delicious, and fruity. But alas..this is not a me scent so I will have to pass this on. :D

  2. Capricorn is entirely vetiver, cedar, and patchouli on me. It's incredibly dark and woody. If you like the scent of TAL Determination but don't want to wear it for fragrance purposes, Capricorn would be a really fabulous substitute. It's very, very similar to Determination. I don't usually like wearing vetiver or cedar and patchouli often doesn't work on me, but on the rare occasion they all work well when blended with the right things, and in this blend, they work amazingly well. This is so uber dark and sexy -- almost malicious in it's depth and darkness. I'm going to wear it until it's all gone. I could see this smelling divine on the right type of man, as well.

This pretty much sums up my experience except I don't get the pine...I get the deep, dark, delicious vetiver. It smells amazing...and is not headache inducing at all! :D I will keep this imp and actually use it up! :yum:

  3. Plaster and spraypaint, mottled with buttermilk - sweet, chalky, and edging on sickly. White and golden amber beams of daylight pour through the belly of the scent, while oakmoss and Spanish moss add a touch of decay.

Have you ever been in a hot, sticky, congested environment? Like in an old house with no air, or an old warehouse or garage with no air, and it is in the dead heat of summer? That's what this smells like. I have an instant scent memory from sniffing this of when I was a kid and went to my Great Aunt's home, it had no air conditioning, it was congested, and smelled like plastic (she kept plastic on the furniture). It was so hot, that I felt like I was choking. I had to go outside to get some fresh air. That's what this smells like...just add a hint of chalk. How Beth got the chalky note right...the world will never know. But it is dead on. This is how I imagined the vacant apartments smelled in the candyman movie. Esp. when the main character goes through the door with the drawing of Candyman on the door. :ack: This scent is so creepy...and evokes such a strange and horrible memory that I have to take it off never, EVER wear this again.

  4. I just got this out of the mailbox and had to put it on.

The blackcurrant and amber are top notes that I smell. Its very purple scent and is in the same vein to Hellion V.2 for me. I want to bathe in this scent.

This sums it up...with a minor change: The morgra makes it a bit floral. I am aging this as I know it will be glorious in time for summer. :D

  5. As with most ginger scents...the gingerbread is overwhelming the glory that is snake oil. I wanted this to work so badly...Alas...it must go by the wayside and find a new home. Or I may keep my decant and see what happens when it ages.

  6. This is a heady, purple, fruit filled scent. Decadent sweet fruit picked at the peak of ripeness and given to the scum of the earth to eat and smack in front of you while you are starving, in chains, and having to kneel before them. This image is evocative...and sticks with you. I am going to have to rewatch the Dark Crystal to see if any of this imagery is in the movie.
