Dark Alice

Mint in the lick its is a little too strong. Anything that you can recommend that will compliment either the vanilla or the mint solely?

Any recommendations for bpal that may go with Scintillating Whipped? I love the mild mint/sweet vanilla notes of it.

Where did the honey go? The lily is there...but it is very faint. I am actually kind of sad....because of the the singing flowers in the garden...my favorite was the tiger lily. Actually...on the drydown....lilly has a hint of sweetness....but it is very faint....too light for me to wear.

This smells like a very clean rose. The amber in this...is tame. However, the jasmine plus the red roses makes it smell like toilet cleaner. Not a fan...but I am glad I got to try it.

This is very manly. Peppery...with oil. It smells like a mechanic's shop...with the mechanic wearing a very expensive and wonderful cologne. Lovely on a man...but not on me.

A frimp from a wonderful forumite. Chaos LXX or CXX (imp) lemon and something burnt...slightly burnt rubber. Dry: Lemon and still slightly burnt rubber. I must wash this off now.

Used leather and sour sweat with a smattering and tang of blood. Only Beth can put Edward Hyde in a bottle. And this is the perfume of a sociopath....it if you added a cold halloween night in the bottle this would be perfect for Michael Myers.

You ever hear a song that inspires you to create something? I think this scent was inspired by a little bit of Billie Holiday's version of Blue Moon. I envision a woman standing alone, without a dream in her heart of a love of her own....in the soft gentle light of the blue moon.....*sigh* this is one of Beth's most awe inspiring creations....

Patchouli and tobacco. As advertised. It then sweetens up...I think its the tobacco trying to dominate. Nope...the patchouli wins. This is a very bitter scent and certainly lives up to hits name.

First and foremost....I am afraid of vetiver but because of the wonder that was Black Panther, I decided to give this a try...and unfortunately...I was disappointed. The satsuma...the one note I was hoping I would amp.....dies on me....I mean literally stake through the heart, I curse the day you were born, and your little dog too death. And then the amber stomps it's way in....but it becomes watery. WTH? As if amber does try and put me in a headlock enough already. The licorice comes riding in and whips the amber into some kind of ambery licorice blob....leaving me a with a watered licorice on my skin with hints of spice jumping up and down like mexican jumping beans. *sigh*

Wet: Fresh, green....pear..., ashy, fresh cut green pear. Drydown...this mellows into a lovely amber with fresh cut pear. I love it...I may have to try and find myself a partial bottle

Wet: this smells like a strong version of Cherry flavored nyquil Drydown: I smell bitter, stale, mushrooms and cherry flavored nyquil. EW...Must Wash Off Now.

just as advertised....frankincense, berry, and whoooaaa a strong musk. Right now...this is a little tooo strongggg for my tastes....I am curious to see if aging will smooth and mellow this out.

Because the numbers were rubbed off I had to label these Mystery Snake Oil 1, 2, and 3. 1. Snake oil and red fruit of some kind...and did I mention sugar??? This one made my teeth hurt thinking about how much sugar was in it. 2. Snake oil mixed with Lovers with rutting cats I don't know if I will keep this one. 3. Snake oil and damn amber. Snake oil with golden amber.....how do I know...most amber turns to a cat peeish phase on my skin...and golden amber (if not mixed with other notes) can come on strongggg!!!!!!!!!!!! So it has to be snake oil and golden amber....not a big fan of this one...maybe it can find a good home.

For once...I have a scent with veviter that works on my skin. and Growl.....this does smell like a slinky, dark panther creeping through the trees on the hunt at night. I have to admit...I like this one...it may actually be bottle worthy.

This smells like sweet corn whiskey and burnt sugar....like a marshmallow that has been burnt on the stove.......not a fan...I must go wash this off. Dried down completely, this smelled exactly like a fresh bag of circus peanuts candy. Amazing....

Sadly...in the imp it was disgustingly sweet fake blueberry pie. On the skin...quasi realistic blueberry...actually more like realistic blueberry soap. *sigh* I will never find a blueberry scent that suits me. (I now see why this was a prototype.) And I was graciously gifted this by sunshine daisy bliss.

I this! Wet: Champagne and strawberry. Drydown: this is just as it is advertised!!! I can smell the pink rock candy, the strawberry creme, the gin and the vermouth. I this and I must find me a bottle or 2 NOW!!!!!

In the bottle-Strawberry and cherry mishmash. On the skin: Butter?? Pink cotton candy and butter. It's so buttery that it makes me sick. This is just another reminder that I CANNOT DO sugary sweet scents.

This delicious! Passionfruit, coconut, vanilla...all I need is some rum and a little pineapple in a drink and I would be in heaven. I love this...I can't wait to see how it ages.

I couldn't read the number on this one either. But it is Snake Oil...with a bright red juicy fruit and sugar. Spun sugar at that. This is the one that I have decanted for my PIFs. I hope the others can identify the fruit....I won't wear it that often but I do love the fruit in this and the sugar...its

Sugar Cookie 04. The holy grail of sugar cookies.... In the imp: This smells of fresh baked sugar cookies. On my skin from wet to drydown: Dried old crusty stale sugar cookie. Alas...I just have to accept it...I am not meant to wear Sugar Cookies...just eat them.

I am calling this review part 2. I received this imp in a swap....aged. I must say that this is absolutely beautiful. When I tried this a year ago it was nothing but teak and cream...sour cream at that. But now....this has become a cream that softly mixes with teak...swirling together to create a beautiful creamy teaky cloud on my skin. I love it...I am happy to keep this decant...but I dont need to track down a bottle.
