Clean, bright, and juicy lemon when wet. Dried...the davana really comes through with the lemon and I can smell no white amber. I think I need this bottle but it will have to be aged. This is good stuff...just needs some time on it.

I have no idea what this smells like. Slightly Sweet. Powdery. A little floral. Not bad. But not for me.

This is a wonderful dark, woody, incensey scent. The white musk is almost juicy when it blends with the teakwood. It is truly a lovely scent. So glad I ordered a bottle.

At first...this was delicious cookies with a hint of tobacco from a pipe. Then the turns into a sickly sweet cookie with a burning pipe on top of it. Not a fan.

The Delicate Ambrosial Dews of Heavenly Nectar
Dark Alice replied to Tal Shachar's topic in Limited Editions
Sweet, fruity honeysuckle. As it dries...the fruit dries nicely but amber stays beautifully. This too will age well. I am so glad I picked up a bottle. -
The lotus on me is green, light and airy. But the Egyptian musk just purrs in this making it alluring and sexy. This will be a sleepy hit and will age tremendously!!!

Gingerbread Jolly Roger
Dark Alice replied to ClockworkMoM's topic in Gifts with Donation or Purchase
A gingerbread on the high seas! It's a beautiful spicy gingerbread note with hints of water, wood, and ocean air. I like it. I will probably wear this when I have no idea what else to wear! -
THIS! I get the frosted "snow note" and pine. Frosted pine with no vanilla sandalwood. I am so sad to see this as this is the one I was most excited about. Off to the swaps with you...

This. The damn harlot over took the gorgeous brown leather and violet leaf. Bitch. Leave the others alone to blend with you...stop screeching at me. Glad I found this one a new home.

This is the same patchouli that is in Banshee Beat on my skin. However, in VoA III it is very mellow. On me...I have a honeyed vanilla banshee beat. I amp all the notes...and it's lovely...but I don't need a bottle. I can see the BB comparison though....I really can.

This perfect. Light, vanilla and lavender with a touch of frankincense. This is not a day scent. I tried it...it didn't feel right to wear it during the day. I love wearing it at night. I see an order for a few more bottles before this comes down.

Straight up Domino's white sugar with sticky honey. The honey is a bit cloying but at least it isn't musty on my skin. Not a fan of this at all. PASS.

Floral Recs for those who usually don't like florals
Dark Alice replied to Neko's topic in Recommendations
Kabuki Ice. I despise florals...save a very few like Lulu, and the 2008 Presidential perfume. But Kabuki: Ice...is pure wine. It's an icy floral that stays true from wet to dry down.I really do dig it. -
Best Chicory scent ever. Coffee...with chicory and sweet. Just the way I drink my coffee when I can get Chicory coffee. Perfect coffee scent at last...ah....

Y'all need this one. It's like an apple got dressed all sexy like and wanted to paint the town red. It's a bright red apple on my skin but other wise it warms to a bright apple with whispers of myrrh and purring sensuality of copal. I love this scent. SO GOOD. I liked it better than the Lips of Flame Scent hands down.

EZEKIEL’S PHOENIX Another living creature we saw, full wondrous, such as man has never seen; ’twas near in scope to twice the eagle’s size, with plumage iridescent, rainbow-hued. Its breast appeared deep-dyed with purple’s shade, its legs were red like ochre, and its neck was furnished round with tresses saffron-hued; like a coxcomb did its crest appear, with amber-tinted eye it gazed about, the pupil like some pomegranate seed. Exceeding all, its voice pre-eminent; of every wing’d thing, the king, it did appear. For all the birds, as one, in fear did haste to follow after him, and he before, like some triumphant bull went striding forth with rapid step apace. - Ezekiel the Tragedian, the Exagoge Its breast appeared deep-dyed with purple’s shade, its legs were red like ochre, and its neck was furnished round with tresses saffron-hued; like a coxcomb did its crest appear, with amber-tinted eye it gazed about, the pupil like some pomegranate seed: wild plum, North African saffron, frankincense, pomegranate, limonite accord, and golden amber. I don't know what God or Goddess Beth invoked to create this scent...but THANK YOU!!! This is a delicious amber, pomegranate and saffron scent. It is fruity...but not sweet. Slightly incensy, and the saffron is not overpowering. This I NEED!!!!!!

This is Morocco, with more vanilla musk and flowers. This bottle...this batch...this bottle is sheer perfection! The jasmine is slightly headache inducing but I am going to ignore that b/c the rest of this is just gorgeous! So glad I found this in a swap.

The absolute darkest scents? dark, ghostly, haunting, scary,
Dark Alice replied to Cinder's topic in Recommendations
The Day Burned Bright. Creepiest, chalky, empty scent I have ever tried. Seriously...I can't wear it without thinking of Candyman and that empty feeling where his pictures were spray painted. -
Indigo musk, opoponax, champaca, guiac wood, Haitian vetiver, and lemon peel. Wet: Vetiver and lemon peel! Sour lemon peel!!!!! Dry: The vetiver smooths out with the indigo musk. The champaca makes it lightly sweet and the wood adds a nice effect to the whole scent. Overall....this is my favorite of the bunch and the most wearable. But only in small doses. Too much could cause a serious headache!

THIS!!!!!!!!!!! A THOUSAND TIMES!!! MY ROOM SMELLS LIKE CAKE! GORGEOUS VANILLA CAKE WITH BLUEBERRIES!!! I MAY NEED TO GET SOME CAKE TOMORROW...THIS STUFF IS FUCKING FABULOUS!!!

This trully is a bone dry, brittle book/manuscript kind of smell. BUT it is ridiculously mild and blooms on my skin beautifully! This is in the same family of brown leather as Old Moon 2011. This is Old Moon's 1st cousin...the leather here reminds me of Indiana Jones and his leather jacket, with brittle bits of dust and dirt on it. This is the smell of crumbling paper, anciet times, leather, with a hint of man. I love it! Smells better on me than on the man thing too.

The sandalwood and benzoin are doing something to my skin that make this create a scent that is nauseating to my stomach. It works on my skin...but not in my head...and nose. Not a fan. Sadly...
-
Wet: Super freaking sweet vanilla musk. SUPER SWEET! Tooth achingly sweet! Dry: Soft vanilla musk, no almond with a gentle floral. My decant is more than enough. If the vanilla wasn't so super foody sweet and screeching on my skin I would buy this in an instant...but this is a headache in a bottle.

Eve is a right day/wrong day kind of scent. On the right day she is a gorgeous, light, rose incense floral! On the wrong day...she is a migraine waiting to happen with the damn rose. I am happy that I purchased my decant....hell...I could even go for a low level partial...but a whole bottle...I won't be needing that. at. all!

This is just gorgeous. Woody, slightly sweet with a hint of rose. Damn it all to hell...another bottle I need to own!
