Earthy, dirty. A moist dirt, definite roots. It really captures that cool underground feel.
-
Eucalyptus comes up first - that must actually be the rosemary. Medicinal. Definitely herbal, and the verbena note is nice.
-
Starts with bread baking. I'm getting the sugar and soft citrus. There are other notes filling in, making it fuller and more complicated. And definitely puffy and light!
-
The soft leather comes up first, suede fresh from the shoe store. he tobacco and herbs are there, lingering in the background. Pleasant and comforting.
-
Kind of a bright, tinny scent. A little minty. A lot sour.
-
Sweet candy. Tea and a touch of lemon.
-
Starts with hair spray. That tones down quickly to a pleasant vanilla sandalwood with candy floral overtones. Almost a candied violet.
-
Dirt to start. The dirt fades and I get a soft powdery floral. Finally it becomes a soft musk, but not a big thrill on me.
-
Starts a bit soapy. I get that mix of flowers with some interesting notes. Just can't get past the soap part of it on me.
-
Starts with a nice leather, shoe-polish smell. Moves quickly into wood. It's woody with a light herbal overtone. The herbs green up a bit more. I like this!
-
Warm, a bit of a baking scent, like the cinnamon cookies are cooling on the countertop. God judges me worthy of cookies? Cool!
-
Starts with a little bit of dirt. The vanilla and spice are coming up. Not a lot of throw. It's a soft warm spicy kitchen where somebody bakes a lot.
-
It almost smells like paper at first. I get the verbena, which is a pretty candied lemon. I can definitely smell the ambers in it, too. This is nice!
-
Light cinnamon to start, wet like a cinnamon tea.
-
Sweet and buttery, butterscotch. The tea comes up, still very buttery and milky. Like candy.
-
Fruity, that's the grapefruit. A little bit floral. The citrus bite fades, but still present in the floral.

White Chocolate, Strawberry, and White Pepper Truffle
aquazoo replied to thekittenkat's topic in Lupercalia
Sweet strawberry, but it's got a little fermented overtone. It's got a little bit of something else going on. This smells a lot like some homebrewing I've done — yeastie beasties hard at work. I want to drag out the carboy now... -
White Chocolate, Black Raspberry, and Apricot Cordial Truffle
aquazoo replied to thekittenkat's topic in Lupercalia
Fruity alcohol — that's the cordial part of it. I get a teensy bit of chocolate, just not as sweet as I would expect. -
Milk Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea Ganache Truffle

I'm getting a mild lime at first and not chocolate. Definitely sweet and bright and yummy, but the chocolate is lost on me. -
Milk Chocolate, Coconut, Cardamom, Rum, and Ginger Truffle
aquazoo replied to TheIceMaiden's topic in Lupercalia
Oooh, that's a lovely spicy chocolate! I think I've had tis chocolate bar. The coconut is a definite presence, very yummy. -
Whew, it sure is whisky! I'm getting the alcohol mostly, and with the sweetness it's a smoky rum. Nice!
-
I get the chocolate & key lime, and then it's mostly sweet lime. Lime makes a nice after shave, but it's much more pretty and fruity than that. Now it's sweet lime, with just the hint of chocolate.

Oh, this is nasty! I'm sniffing a carpet to see what kind of wine got spilled there. The incense and blood come up, which helps quite a lot. A chameleon of scent, now it's nice. The wine is coming back, and I generally don't like wine scents. But now it's a good wine, not that sour stuff from before.

Moldy and woody. Actually this is kind of decent. It's a little cabin where herbs are drying, in spite of the drizzle outside.

Sweet, yummy, a little bit floral. It stays a bit sweet, and I definitely get the silver. The stone is more chipped granite than precious.
