Grog; I have found yum... warm, gooey, comforting, I NEED A BIIIG BOTTLE OF THIS for mental health days.. ... I don't care what it is made of, I just know it smells like home on a cloudy rainy day, when the fireplace is roaring, and a toddy is what is on the menu. Better than a teddy bear.

I was going through my oils looking to thin the herd, as it were, and started looking at my 10ml bottles, and there was The Star. Had not sniffed it lately, so I opened it up, took a big whiff, and Yeech, plastic vs.Theraflu. Getting ready to put it in the sell section, I thought to just put a little on my arm, from the lid, just to be sure. It's been 2 hours, and I can't quit sniffing! WOW, what a change. It's Key Lime-y, creamy, coconutty, I don't smell any of the mint I see that others have smelled, but maybe I missed that part. And it doesn't seem to be fading a bit. I want to drink my arm. If I close my eyes I'm in the Sea of Cortez, off the coast of San Felipe, the sky is Azure Blue, the water is warm, and I can hear the gulls screeching and the waves gently hitting the beach, the local fishermen coming in with their catch of the morning, laughter and sounds of bartering for fresh caught seafood, the flip of a fin moving the water close to where I float. Ahhhhhhhhhh..........life is good. Yep, it's a keeper....

I wanted so much to love this scent. All the reviews demanded that I love it. It has all the fruity things I love to smell. So I opened the bottle, took a big whiff, and NEARLY THREW UP. It smells like childhood cough medicine that I had to take due to bronchitis EVERY YEAR< Yeech, I can't even put it on my skin.....ok, I;ll go get a soda to wash down the nausea, get some fresh air, and then try it on my skin...... ....Ok, its been about an hour, here goes nothing,....ohhhhh, noooooo, gotta wash this stuff off NOW... Why?Why? I was soo looking forward to this. Somebody get this 5ml bottle outta my house. MI-GO FOR SALE!!

The name alone makes you want to try it. And it is wonderful! Warm, creamy, and the Vanilla is definitely not your regular Vanilla scent, nooooo, it's the GOOD stuff. It has depths of scent, almost can taste it, then the sugar, like Creme Brulee, I can hardly smell anything resembling Sandalwood, and the Saffron is just a hint, but the Butter Rum has started to come into play. O.K., 3 hours later, not a bit of scent lost, and still rich and lickable... If only it could taste like it smells.......

Ahhh, This is the Moon for me, Smells strong, sultry, drowsy, Gardenia-like in its richness. Warms up on my skin...mmmmm...kind of like an evening in New Orleans Garden District pre-Katrina, sultry, feminine. Sandalwood just warms it up more. Stays strong for hours, in a good way. I keep catching a sniff as I move, or as a breeze passes. Many compliments on this one. Anyone who doesn't like their White Moon, send those orphans home to my Moon Box.......

CLIO; In the bottle: Wood, maybe cedar, sharp orange, lavender, and....a warm smell, reminiscent of the corner where the best old tomes are kept in an older tiled library (no carpet or plastic smells here!). Wet on skin; Umm, nice clean citrus smell, there's that woody smell....now kind of richer, deeper, must be the patchouli and amber......and a slightly dry smell, like the lavendar in my yard when I dry the stems... I likeee Dry and an hour later; YUM! Warm, still smell the woody-ness, the lavendar has gotten a little stronger, the citrus seems to have blended with the amber, and the patchouli seems to sweeten the wood. Very nice, a skin scent, lasts well on me. Kind of a comfortable scent, warm, not overbearing at all, I keep getting little sniffs as I move around (I put some behind the ears, natch!), and it is a very pleasant surprise. I like this a lot, wish there were 10 ml bottles of it, because I see using this as an "aways good" scent. What a great Muse!
