Peppery florals. There is a smoky feel to it, and a bit of candied ginger as well. Not getting any sandalwood here. Something in here smells resigned.

Oh yummy! This is a caramel covered apple at the fair, with some butterscotch sprinkled over the top. I get a bit of the booziness of the rum, but not really getting the coconut. I love this one and I'm definitely glad I have a bottle on the way - I may have to order another bottle, too!

Dark and rich. Cinnamon is definitely the top note, but this is well blended and there are touches of everything else coming through. It has a metallic feel to it as well. I don't know that I would call this a man's scent, although the leather is trying to pull it that way. I like it.

Very much a green-brown scent. Woods, a bit dusty. Smells more like a man's scent.
-
Mostly patchouli. I get a touch of the vanilla and pine, but the patchouli is kind of beating everything else into submission. But that's okay, because I like patchouli.

Indian ritual confections. Lots of citrus, some coconut, and lots of cardamom. Surprisingly, the citrus isn't making me want to run and hide, although I do hope it tones down more as it dries. I keep coming back to sniff at this because it's very complex. Not really getting the buttercream or chocolate at all.

Ew. The only one of the patch I don't like. I get almost all pomegranate and no pumpkin. The pomegranate is sickly sweet and smells almost like a pomegranate schnapps. Yuck.

Soap, but pretty soap. I'm mostly getting the lavendar and musk. Little bit of "tree" in the background that makes this fairly crisp. Not getting the citrus or neroli at all.
-
Not as dark as I was expecting. Definitely an incense scent, but it's a sweeter incense, almost a patchouli. There's a slight aquatic feel here, presumably from the ozone. I think I'll need to re-evaluate this one again to decide whether or not it's a keeper.

The Music of Erich Zahn

Really strange. It smells kind of moldy and definitely musky. There's a bit of an anise feel here as well, which I think is the tamarind. Not really for me. -
Midnight on the Midway (2006)

This is pretty! I get a light jasmine and lilac, sweetened up a bit. Something darkish in the background - the incense? Very light and feminine. Not much throw. -
Eucalyptus and evergreens. Very wintery and cold. Would make a good room scent or possibly a good men's cologne, but I don't know how well it's working on me.
-
Very heady opium and honey. Light florals in the background, but not getting the musk. Rich and pretty.

Chaos Theory III: Strange Attractors
supremegoddessofall replied to shelldoo's topic in Limited Editions
Each bottle of Chaos Theory is truly unique, a fragrant fractal, and exercise in the joy of chance and uncertainty! Each is a one-of-a-kind, utterly random combination of scents, the composition of which is based on whim, mood and gut instinct. CT3: CXXIII On me: Honey and spice. Yum! -
All juniper. The foody scents are completely submerged. Too bad.
-
Teaberry gum. I like teaberry gum, but I'm not sure about it as a perfume. I think the teaberry effect is a combination of the evergreens and the honeysuckle. Not really getting florals out of this.
-
This almost has a citrus effect on me, but there is no citrus note listed. Slightly floral, but not really, and I'm not getting amber or linen at all. Not really for me.
-
Civet smells...dirty...on me. I'm getting a *very* musky floral, which unfortunately just really isn't working on me.
-
Soft florals, dominated by the roses, but the freesia is making a play to come out on top. This is a night scent, a bedroom scent, or maybe a hot bath.
-
Almost wholly tea. Hint of the citrus fruits underneath, but the tea is very dominant. Not getting the florals or the chocolate at all.
-
This reminds me of the ritual incense used in Hindu ceremonies. Delicate, beautiful, and causes you to feel innately spiritual, regardless of religion. It is spicy, herbal, and floral all at once. New love.

My initial thoughts after putting it on were "I think I would love this if it weren't for the verbena. It's very spicy, but the citrus of the verbena creeps into it in a way that is making my nose wrinkle. Not getting the cherry at all." However, as it dried, it got more and more spicy and cherry, and it's growing on me a lot.

Very strange combination. I'm getting a spicy peach, but something about the peach smells...off...Touch of florals, but they are subtle and overwhelmed by the peach. I'm not sure about this one.
-
Strong florals. I think there's a lot of lavender in here. Not really for me.

Wow, not what I was expecting at all, and it's a pleasant surprise. Forest and rose didn't seem like it was going to be particular good, but this is really interesting. It's definitely got an evergreen feel to it, and there's something underneath that's lighter and brighter - the florals?
