    Vamp.Goth

Alas this is not for me. It goes from being a fresh clean rose when wet to a dirty, rose covered ashtray.

In the imp: Baby powder oh no! Wet: Still baby powder for the first 5 minutes and then fades to an almost sweet incense. Dry down: A backdrop of black leather and sweet incense with a drop of latex. Much sweeter than I anticipated! Dry (2 hrs): Sadly at this point it goes back to baby powder. But what I got for those 2 hours was gorgeous.

    Mitzvah

Not much of a morpher, its all sweet buttery caramels on me. It's gorgeous and layers wonderfully with Glowing Vulva bath oil!

    Puck

Oh Puck, you poor unloved thing. I must be one of the lucky few that civet plays well with, I get nothing disgusting here. Just feral musky earthiness with a hint of sweetness. Definitely not an everyday scent, but an interesting one nevertheless!

    Champagne and Party Hats

Ah no, heartbreak! Acrid sour champagne with a tiiiiny hint of vanilla cake.

    Scent for Halloween?

I'm thinking either Tokyo Stomp or Dark Chocolate, Lime and Chocolate Mint for tomorrow.

    Sugar Plum Fairy v3

The released version and the proto are very different on me. SPF is light and sweet, and sits very close to the skin. I definitely get the comparisons to gummies sniffing this in the bottle and when first applied- and I really like this stage too! Once it starts drying the gummy aspect fades significantly making way for this really gorgeous spice- it smells like mulling spices almost to my nose with a sugary plum wafting in the background. Once dry the sweetness comes forward a bit more, but the spice is still quite prominent. Good medium throw. All in all, I think I prefer this one slightly to the released if only because I have a thing for mulling spices.

    Knockout Drops

This turns into almost a complete absinthe single note on me. I'm hoping with some age the absinthe will back off and the other notes will pop out.

    Bones Trombone

Bones Trombone: Upon first application I get a sweet blueberry fluff which quickly morphs into a tart lemon with graham cracker crust backdrop. Definitely reminiscent of a lemon meringue pie. As it starts to dry the blueberry comes out more and something here comes out to add a slight spice, perhaps this is the hemlock coming into play. Wafts of blueberry marshmallow fluff is wafting back up at me as I type- yum! The small amount of spice goes away quickly and the lemon is really amping now, very fresh like. There's almost a minty touch to it, it clears my sinuses slightly. Interesting. Now it's back to the yummy pie scent. 2 hours later and this amazing deep, rich pie crust comes out. It's delicious and I want to eat my wrist.

    Lemon-Scented Sticky Bat

Oh god, this is delicious! It reminds me of my grandma's lemon pies with a sugary glaze top. Good throw too- I can smell it wafting back up at me while I type. A definite summer staple and will need more than just the two measly decants I have now.

    Monster Bait: Tokyo Stomp

My god, people weren't joking when they described it as a Thin Mint cookie. That's what it is for me straight up and I love. But now I want Thin Mints.

    Horse Chestnut Honey

Bottle: Chestnuts Wet: Even deeper chestnuts. Apparently I really amp chestnuts Dry: The chestnuts even out but they're still strong, but a thick sweet honey starts to appear 8 hrs later: A thick, sweet nutty honey. This isn't the fake sugary honey, this smells like actual honey I put this on before bed last night and I can still smell it faintly now. It's much sweeter now then when I put it on- a thick nutty honey that makes me want to lick my arm. Delicious!

    Jack

Can't believe that I forgot to review this! Jack was among my first order and I still love it today. I was also fortunate to pick up a very nicely aged 2005 10ml and I have to say this ages very well. Warm, spicy, buttery and creamy- it layers really well with Trick or Treat!

    Meditation in Autumn

I received this as a tester frimp bottle a couple months ago and am just now getting around to test this. I agree with everyone else who says this isn't at all what I was expecting! It's a very fresh ozone with a wood backdrop- definitely reminiscent of a fall day in the woods when the air is crisp and the leaves are starting to drop. I wish I could remember who sent me the bottle, because it's not one I would have picked for myself and I'm glad it was sent to me. Another surprise BPAL.

    Centzon Totochtin

Bottle: Dark, thick bitter cocoa with a hint of coffee Wet: Coffee with hints of spice Dry: Bitter cocoa with more than a hint of spice. There's a bit of coffee and what smells like tobacco hanging out in the background. I get very little booze from this at all, if it is there it's very faint. Very rich and spicy, I can't see this as a blend I'd reach for often. I can see me reaching for this on a rainy day where I curl up with a good book- that's the impression it's leaving me.

    Mother Ginger

In the imp: gingerbread cupcakes with creamy frosting! Wet on wrist: The creamyness goes away immediately followed by a really spicy ginger, which is not surprising since I amp nutmeg like crazy. There's a point in here where the vanilla starts to fight it out with the ginger and the ensuing wafting end up being a spicy ginger cream. Dry: The marshmallow comes out. This isn't like the marshmallow in Marshmallow Pumpkin, light and dusty, this is the sticky goo that you loved as a kid. It reminds me of a gingerbread whoopie pie with marshmallow creme in the middle and dusted with cinnamon and sugar. I love it!

    Pink Champagne

Bottle: Fizzy and pink, a bright bubbly scent. Wet: Still fizzy with more than a hint of strawberry. There's some sort of pepper that comes in that really balances the sweetness out nicely. Dry: The fizz really fades into the background, almost undetectable, with a very fruity forefront. There's a really nice balance between the sweet fruit and the pepper to keep it from being overwhelmingly sweet. Verdict: I like it! Even though there's more fizz in the bottle than on me, it still manages to be a nice pink scent. Very reminiscent of Loli Goth.

    Scent for Halloween?

Champagne and Roses with maybe a smattering of O for me tonight. My other champagne scents from Will Call haven't gotten here yet. I so wanted to wear Pink Champagne.

    Sleipnir

I received a half bottle of this from an awesome person on LJ. This is a really interesting blend! Slightly sweet hay, dried berries and a warm nuttiness to it. It's different and I quite like that.

    Sweet Winter Berry Ale

I wish this was sold in bottles, because it is yum. I don't get much else except sweet, juicy berries from this; there may be a hint of ale on the dry down, but it's so faint its barely there. Yummy!

    Sugar Plum Fairy

I'll try and be as helpful as I can. Urk. Bottle: Very plum with a hint of sweetness. Wet: Still plum, but this is not a strong plum, it's very light and airy. It's sweet, but not overly sweet. Gentle I would call it. Dry: Still very light plums. The apricot has come out and really enhances the plum. I don't get much of anything else, if I do it's very faint.

    Dublin

I was very luck to get this as a frimp from a recent Lab Ebay auction. Sadly, this scent does not like me. It went directly to baby powder and stayed there. Such a shame.

    Scent for Halloween?

I decided to go with Drink Me for the dinner and will probably go with Cold Moon later tonight.

    Gelt

2008 version: In the decant I get the distinctness of the amber and the cocoa, but when I put it on this delicious dark cocoa comes out and makes me want to eat my wrist. After being dry for a while the amber finally makes a bit of an appearance and adds a bit of creamyness to the blend and a distinct "gold" feeling. Yummy!

    Anne Beany

Wet this is very rum and cheesecake, with a slightly woody backnote. I dunno if it just needed more time to settle or if my nose was off, who knows. Dry it's very creamy and butterscotch with rum. It has a decent amount of throw too. I applied this last night and about 12 hours later it's still there- I woke up this morning to a very creamy rum butterscotch greeting my nose. Gorgeous blend!
