samhain! -
most merchant account systems anymore charge between 2 and 5 percent. this includes paypal, systems for primarily offline business, and MOST systems for online business. the only ones i know that does NOT do this is discover - they pay the full amount - and ccnow - which carges almost 10%. i think american express pays in full too, but to be honest, most of the clients that gave the accounting firm i worked for in hs either don't take am ex or people don't use it very much there.

"we're so swamped, its almost impossible for me to combine orders right now. =( " <- beth in an email a few weeks ago since they're still busy, i'd say that it's probably still the case.

it's so hot, it makes my skin hurt, and the ylang ylang is screaming at me in a sickenly sweet way and i think i'm gonna pass on this and scrub it off my wrists i wanted to like it!

Sexy, Smutty, Seductive, Provocative... It's All in Here
ipb replied to ipb's topic in Recommendations
my date's not for another month. well, a month and a week. but i'm heavily leaning towards 'love me' o is great, but it doesn't last long, and i wanna smell great all night i haven't tried lust yet, but i'm not sure how it'll smell but love me, on me, is a very lovely sexy smokey sweet scent and it lasts ALL night long. and oh so appropriate i'm thinking of making some harlot lotion, to layer the two because i think they could go well together... i'm thinking of maybe trying to find a swap for all night long, #20 love oil, and/or fire of love, too. -
the cloves and myrrh and plum interact so wonderfully, and there's just a hint of the flowers. it's a dark, elegant, subtlely seductive scent. love it!

i believe its blackphoenixalchemylab@papow.com or cupcake@papow.com

soft and dreamy indeed! i like it enough to keep the imp, but i don't think i'll buy a bottle.
-
ccnow was pretty accurate with my first two orders, but that was before the xmas rush and the word of mouth spread and shipping probs.
-
i could have sworn this is what i grabbed this morning, but it smelled completely different to me. but whatever it was i grabbed, it had all the best qualities of hecate, snake oil, and voodoo. it was a smokey voodooy smell at first, and mellowed into a smokey, slightly spicey vanilla, that had this little bite of hello that voodoo has. i am completely in love with it. it's lasted 6 hours so far, and is going on strong. i've got to figure out what this was, because i intend to make a big bottle purchase out of it! //edited to add: i did double check the vial, and it WAS love me. odd.

with changing to my web host, i get unlimited pop email accounts (rather than the more-standard forwards) with spicybrains.org, so email is already taken care of. and if i didn't get it with mine, i have an account at my parents' domain that i could use, but i'd have to figure out how to reset it up (coz it's currently set up to forward to my school email). but, i liiiiike unladylike! cute!

paypal will give her more money since they only take 2.9% and ccnow takes 10%

glasya, snake oil, queen mab. hecate, nyx are all pretty strong burial is sometimes //edited to add: i think it's the myrrh.

that's just made my morning

you could lick the dirt off of this dusty rose. it's interesting, but i won't be buying a bigger bottle, and i don't know if i'll keep the imp.

you know those old strawberry shortcake dolls? puck smells exactly like the grape baker.

i had the post office international shipping cost table in front of me for awhile. lemme go get it while my keyboard freaks out and keeps submitting post early well, here is the usps international calculator. and this is the airmail letter (which is how i send my swaps) rates. my last order in was 15 oz, and had 1 10 ml bottle and 15 imps in it my biggest swap out was 3 or 4 oz for a half-full bottle of spooky + 1 or 2 imps one imp alone weighs about a nickel, which i vaguely recall to be around 5 or 10 grams. one 10 ml bottle weighs about as much as my kitty treats, which is 6.5 oz (184 g) morrighana - you gotta remember that int'l shipping DOES require that they go to the post office, so if they're getting hourly wages (hell even if they get salaries), they're paying someone to go drop that off, on top of the cost of materials.

i split out the politics and geography talk to move into randomness!

it's musky and familiar... definitely masculine...
-
wet: warm, not spicy, not *i am musk, hear me roar* dry: definitely a strong scent, but a strong in a nonthreatening kind of way. it's yummy, that's for sure!
-
holy fuck, this is way way way strongly floral wet. i want to wash it off, but it's been mellowing, so i'll let it be and an hour later, i can still smell it, despite giving in and rinsing off my arm with some rubbing alcohol. overly sweet and strongly floral is a combination i don't really like.
-
wet, it just screams mint dry, it's a pretty good balance between the mint and the lotus, probably tempered by the pine...
-
wet: love. musky, dark, but lightly rosey. dry: about the same. the rose weaves in and out, but it's definitely a dark rose, one you wouldn't want to anger. it's not as aggressive as loviatar, but it's not a a perfume for someone who doesn't know their mind. i like it. i really, really like it.. beth predicted that i would a few months ago, and she was definitely spot on!
