VENUS CLOACINA Venus the Purifier A magnificent white gardenia in full bloom, gilded by frankincense, sheer musk, and vanilla orchid. The throw on this oil is phenomenal! When first applied, this was a musky gardenia with a strong, woody, resiny frankincense. At this point, it smelled how I imagine Billie Holiday would smell- feminine and powerful (and too powerful to suit me, alas), with a gardenia tucked behind her ear. Eventually the frankincense backed off and now I'm getting a lush and juicy gardenia-- as if I'd rubbed fresh blossoms all over my wrists. The scent is wafting all around me and is absolutely divine. I love gardenia, and this scent is gardenia perfection.

Himalayan cedarwood, tonka bean, cherry blossom, white tea, and clove husk. This does smell like a breeze! The cedar and white tea play together to create the illusion of a breeze. The clove husk adds a bit of a lemony flair? This is a nice outdoorsy scent.

This smells exactly as described: mostly sugared mint with a touch of bourbon and a suggestion of citrus. I normally do not love mint, but the mint note here is super nice. It's tame and natural. Overall, this is cool, sweet, and refreshing. Spray this on Derby day!

This scent is beautiful--I'm surprised it's not getting more love. To me it smells like sweet, warm rain with a hint of sea breeze. It's not sharp, ozoney, or cologney. It's gentle, soft, clean, sweet, natural, and beautiful. This is basically the aquatic scent of my dreams.

Basically fruit roll-ups for your naughty bits: wild cherry and sugared up strawberry with hot pink peppercorn. DO NOT ACTUALLY PUT THIS ON YOUR NAUGHTY BITS. Fruity candy! Specifically, fruity gummy candy with maybe a hint of marshmallow? It’s reminding me heavily of a Lilith scent—maybe The Devil Will Work for Idle Hands or Battle Fairy in Training? The fruit note is also similar to what I get in Rajnbow Swirk. This is a fun and lighthearted fruity scent!

Discarded Silks Atmosphere Spray

A pretty fruity floral! I smell a lot of orris which lends a breezy, ethereal quality, and plum blossom, which is pretty plummy (as in the fruit). This is a very fun and youthful blend. I have no idea what Malibu Musk smells like, as TTP mentions above, but this smells exactly like something that would be called Malibu Musk. -
Argh this is gorgeous! It’s like a refreshing summer time cocktail—sweet blueberry tempered with chilly lavender. I agree with sprout that it’s a scent for both day and night. It’s happy and pretty—sweet and refreshing!

Cool, herbal lavender and dusty orris sweetened a touch by the honey and peony. This is a beautiful bath oil that would make a relaxing night time bath. I shall absolutely be getting a bottle!

I love this one! It smells fresh and beachy—like a sea beeeze and sun warmed driftwood. The cucumber isn’t super cucumber-y, but blends very nicely to create the fresh breeze vibe. I will definitely be getting a bottle of this one—it will be great scent for summer!

This is a super pretty, fresh, and clean floral blend. I’m getting lots and lots of lilac with a touch of clean rose. I’m having trouble picking out the peach blossom and ylang ylang. It’s a very happy and sunny spring blend.

Vanilla chiffon, honey musk, and pale magnolia. This is the one Luper that I was sure I would love, and therefore my only blind bottle purchase. The Bride is absolutely stunning! At first I get the same honey musk that is in Lady Una, but then it is joined by the magnolia, which is beautiful, lush, and realistic. I have been searching and searching for a magnolia perfume with no luck, and this one is just heavenly. I don't distinctly smell the vanilla chiffon, but I feel like it's sweetening (and making more realistic) the magnolia note. This is like sticking my face in a magnolia blossom--gently sweet, musky, and heady. Thank you, Beth, for such a beautiful scent!

SERVING TEA AFTER COITUS Green tea, heady honey, white plum, ambergris accord, and vanilla flower. Fresh out of the mailbox! I tried this lovely oil first because I love the image so much. This is a very light and delicate perfume that evokes a satisfied sigh and sunlight coming through sheer curtains in early spring. The scent hugs the skin and reminds me of honeyed vanilla green tea. Very lovely!

What we need, said Wednesday, suddenly, is snow. A good, driving, irritating snow. Think snow for me, will you? Huh? Concentrate on making those cloudsthe ones over there, in the westmaking them bigger and darker. Think gray skies and driving winds coming down from the arctic. Think snow. I dont think it will do any good. Nonsense. If nothing else, it will keep your mind occupied, said Wednesday, unlocking the car. Kinkos next. Hurry up. Snow, thought Shadow, in the passenger seat, sipping his hot chocolate. Huge, dizzying clumps and clusters of snow falling through the air, patches of white against an iron-gray sky, snow that touches your tongue with cold and winter, that kisses your face with its hesitant touch before freezing you to death. Twelve cotton-candy inches of snow, creating a fairy-tale world, making everything unrecognizably beautiful . . . Snow, thought Shadow. High in the atmosphere, perfect, tiny crystals that form about a minute piece of dust, each a lacelike work of fractal art. And the snow crystals clump together into flakes as they fall, covering Chicago in their white plenty, inch upon inch . . . Snow upon snow upon snow. I'm very happy to have this bottle in the middle of summer! My favorite thing to do in the heat is to spray down my bed linens with cool-scented atmos (The Cemetery, Many Years Ago is probably my favorite to use for this purpose), and Think Snow For Me is going to be excellent. Most of what I get is the cold minty kind of snow note. This snow note usually doesn't play nicely on my skin, but it's a wonderful scent that makes for an excellent room/linen spray. Backing up the cold minty snow is that lovely soft sweet snow note. It's reminding me of Go to Sleep Darlings (from several Yules ago). Overall, this spray is lovely, and I'd say it's a must have if you love snow scents.

Goth Queen smells like a Christmas party at The Whirling Dervish (RIP) in New Orleans. It's cinnamon and clove cigarettes and BO and it's beautiful.

White honey, camellia, and tobacco. Whoa my goodness is this lovely. It's very rich, like a gathered bouquet of camellias and tobacco leaves dipped in honey. It's pretty dern sexy and I think that it will pair very well with Dolly Kei.

This smells like eating chocolate in a snowy evergreen forest! To me this smells like the snow note in Snow Bunny and The Cemetery, Many Years Ago Atmo. It's beautiful--a little fresh, forestry, minty, slushy, and happy.

Cherry Sugar Cookie

This smelled like fruitcake in the bottle! Dry on skin it reminds me of a cherry version of Blackberry Jam & Scones. There is a hint of spice and the cherry note is jammy and beautiful. It's hard for me to find cherry that works for me, and this is gorgeous! -
Warm rain, lily, and dust. This is one of the rare aquatic scents that doesn't smell too breezy on me. It's perfect for Denna!

Chinese peony aflutter with gilded vanilla, sweet honey, peach, and spiced carnation. I've been super sick, so I should probably formally review this when my nose is working properly, but this scent is gorrrrgeous and doesn't have any reviews yet, so here goes! Y'all, this bath oil is amazing. It smells like stewed peaches with a little whipped cream stirred in. There's not a ton of whipped cream (this is probably the gilded vanilla note), but it's definitely there. The honeyed peaches, however, are the star of the show. I surprisingly don't smell any carnation, which is usually such a strong scent, and the peony seems to be freshening things up a bit so that the overall scent is not too foody. But if you like the Honeyed Peaches and Sugared Peaches bath oils, then pick this one up! Fluttered Peonies is like a more delicate, refined (I feel ridiculous typing that, but it's true!), slightly less foody version of those.

These are all great recommendations. I'd also like to add Tissue and Sweet Life to the list.

Call me crazy, but the new Easter Lily SN has a super beachy feel on me! I love it! Edit due to autocorrect fail.

Stale Sugar-Crusted Marshmallow Chick
ellocentipede replied to Ina Garten Davita's topic in Limited Editions
This is like Stekkjarstaur's little sister! It's a more sweet, youthful, cheerful, less "clean" marshmallow. Super fun, sugary marshmallow goodness!! -
Ugh, this is gorgeous. It's clean and elegant. It truly is like sticking your nose in a lily--just beautiful.
-
This smells jussst like Arise, Lift Up Thine Eyes and See! It's definitely golden and a little breezy. Alas, some incense notes give me a headache, and this is one of them.

I love Ranger. It's a beautiful deep woodsy/evergreen scent that isn't overly sharp or masculine. It's very natural, peaceful, and calming. I love to wear it to bed, when I'm cozy at home, and when I'm playing my night elf hunter on WoW.
