Wanda- In Bottle: Wine, strong purple wine! Wet: Wine and leather, ooh! Can you tell I already like this one? Dry: What a unique scent! The wine is not too much like the sweet grape scent I get in Lady Macbeth, but more like actual purple wine, and the leather is not the "Help, my car upholstery is on fire" that I get in De Sade but is the delicious refined leather of Dead Man's Hand. Wonderful! Overall: I love.
-
Pride- In Bottle: Intense rose and something else floral, I presume the narcissus, though I don't know what that smells like. Wet: A little sour-lemony rose. Dry: No, this is one of those rose blends that goes sour on me. It won't do for me. Overall: Not for me.
-
(Old) Yerevan- In Bottle: Oh, grape and some kind of fruit that makes me nostalgic. Wet: Something bright and pungent explodes on my skin. Dry: It dries down to a lovely plum-pomegranate. What a nice fruity scent! Overall: I like!
-
Swank- In Bottle: Oh, wow, that really smells like pomegranate! It's almost the bitter orange smell of Tweedledee, but just a bit softer. Wet: Sharp-fruity, orange-pomegranate, and something...I dunno, candle-like. Dry: Wow. This is so good! The candle-like thing I was noting is, I think, the boozy note. It's very subtle! This is almost floral in its fruitiness, if that makes any sense, and I really like it! Overall: I really like!

The Great Sword of War- In Bottle: Orange and musk. Almost pine. Wet: Lemon like lemon furniture polish. Dry: I am not fond of this lemon furniture polish thing. Overall: Not for me.
-
Lust- In Bottle: Mmm, musk. Woody musk. Is there vetiver in here? Wet: I swear I smell sweet musk and what I thought was vetiver--that wood-and-chocolate smell. Well, whatever it is, it's sweet and heavy and yummy. Dry: I am getting the same roasted potato smell I got in Haunted! How about that. But mostly this is sweet grape-like musk in a lovely, not-too-heavy blend. I don't think it smells, well, sexy, but I do like it. Overall: I like!
-
The Haunted Palace- In Bottle: Mmm, a very heavy orange scent. Deep and rich. Wet: Deliciously sweet musky. So far very nice! Dry: I really like this! It's grape-like and musky and reminds me a lot of Shango. Possibly a bit of a novelty, but it resonates with me really well. Overall: I like!
-
Delphi- In Bottle: I smell dill. No, I do! And honey, and that boozy note. Wet: Honey and a mixture of herbs. Something like beeswax. Whoa, I really like this! Dry: MAN, this is delicious. It's like I'm wearing a beeswax candle, one that's burning and sending up a little smokiness from time to time. I really like this. Overall: I really like!

Erato- In Bottle: Floral. A very yellow floral. Not so much rose in the bottle as I had expected--which is pleasing to me. Wet: Very rose. Dry: This dries down to a kind of lemony rose on me, not quite sour-bad but not really anything that sends me. Overall: Not for me.
-
Buck Moon- In Bottle: Very herbal and green-smelling. Wet: Hmm, sweet musk and herbs. Light and pleasant. Dry: This is not a heavy scent--there's just a hint of muskiness in the herbal here, and it's very nice! Overall: I like!

Dark myrrh, white sandalwood, amber, hyssop, frankincense, honey, cypress, red musk, cardamom and saffron. And There Was a Great Cry in Egypt- In Bottle: Hmm, sweet, chocolate-wood?, sharp like men's cologne. Wet: Yes, that was chocolate-wood. That's how I smell vetiver, and I also smell the musk now. Dry: This is a heavy sweet musk, almost cloying but not quite, and it gets better and better the more it dries. I don't think I'll use it a lot but I see myself breaking it out every once in a while, when I'm all moody 'n' stuff. Overall: I like, conditionally.
-
Berenice- In Bottle: A little aquatic, a little clean. Wet: An aquatic-type floral. Sharp and clean, definitely. Dry: Wow, I really like the dry-down on this! It isn't overpowering; it's a clean gentle aquatic smell. One of my favorite aquatics already! Overall: Really nice!
-
Kindly Moon- In Bottle: Oh, wow, that's deliciously fruity. Is that...apricot? Wet: More florals now, light, nice. Dry: A simple, lightly aquatic floral. Fades rather quickly on me, but it's gentle, for all that. Overall: Nice. Simple.

Snake Oil- In Bottle: Musky, dark, resinous. Wet: I'm sure that's vetiver! Must be. And here comes a little vanilla. Dry: Oh, I wish I could like this one. I don't want to be the different one! But this has that old man smell that I just can't handle, all cloying and unwashed-smelling; leaves me nose-wrinkling. Too bad! Overall: Not for me. Addendum, April 15, 2007: This is me trying this again. I got a new frimp of this from the lab, and I was looking at it feeling sad that Snake Oil hadn't worked for me, especially as there's that whole new line of Snake Pit scents all based on Snake Oil. So I decided I'd give the new imp another go, and you know what? It was completely different. Kind of vanilla and musk and nothing unwashed or old-man-ish at all. I liked it! I did a comparison with the imp that gave me the first impression, and I think the other one might have aged to the point where it was muskier in a way that did not work as well with my chemistry. I think I'll keep my new imp and use it and if I like it well enough, I'll get a bottle but remember that it might not age well for me.

Eos- In Bottle: Hmm, sweetness, but a slightly sour note as well. Wet: Mmm, bright honeysuckle bloom. That little bit of sour does follow. Dry: No, the sour goes right away! This is pretty and floral and light and a lovely mixture of the jasmine and honeysuckle. Overall: I like, for being a floral!
-
Love in the Asylum- In Bottle: Rose jumps out at me, but a very pleasant, rainy-day rose. Wet: Roses. Dry: Rose, which doesn't quite send me, but it never goes sour on me, at least. I don't think I'll be keeping this one but it is a nice scent in its own right! Overall: Nice.
-
Thalia- In Bottle: Mm, now, this is a pear scent I can get behind! Hope it works on my skin. Wet: Fruity! Pleasant. Not very strong. Dry: This is a light and pretty scent, not one that's likely to be a frequent flyer for me, but it is nice with its light fruit note. It does not last long, unfortunately! Overall: Nice if a fast fader.
-
Chokmah- In Bottle: I'm sure there's vetiver in here. And something that has that slightly sharp eye-watering men's cologne note too. Wet: A dullness over vetiver. Hmm. Wait--benzoin. Definitely. Smells like a pediatrician's office, that band-aid smell. Dry: This is a masculine, musky smell, and while I like a lot of those, this one dries down to an old man smell. Too cloying and nose-wrinkling for me. Overall: Not for me.

Chaos Theory 3: (This is from a decant from a fellow BPAL fan and does not have a Roman numeral listing with it. So I am sorry that this is not more useful!) In Bottle: Woo, cinnamon and...floral soap. It smells good! Wet: Mmm, this has that same nutmeg note that Sugar Cookie 2004 has (My second favorite BPAL scent ever) and there's this sugary floral overtop it. Delicious! Dry: This mellows out with that yummy nutmeg-like scent with something sugary and fragrant over it. Not floral in the way I think of as florals but almost. It's just a delicious scent, warm and yummy and I love it! Overall: I love. I'd buy more if I could get this one again, but, without the number, I guess that'll never happen.
-
Athens- In Bottle: Something sweet and herbal. Smells just like mead! Delicious. Wet: The boozy note is there. Dry: Wow, this really smells like mead! Honey and booze; edgier than the honey scent of "O" but still lovely. Overall: Nifty!
-
Trick #2- In Bottle: Resinous and warm. I can smell the hint of vanilla in there too. Wet: Oh, my. That pine-like resin and the vanilla are delicious! It's almost like there's caramel under this. Dry: This is definitely pretty; it is not very long-lasting on me, and I do not love it as much as I love Old Dublin, of which this reminds me a lot, but it's nice. Overall: Yummy scent.
-
Treat #2- In Bottle: Oh, yeah. Orange and chocolate and buttercream, baby! Like one of those chocolate oranges that comes in segments. Wet: The orange heightens. And here comes the coconut! Dry: Holy God, is this delicious. Orange-coconut-chocolate-buttercream all the way through, and it never got musty on me, which is amazing for a chocolate scent. I really want a big bottle of this. (hears the shouts, "YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE BEE-YOTCH!) Overall: I am ownz0rd.
-
Red Phoenix- In Bottle: Cinnamon and something resinous. Wet: Cinnamon with something to temper it, mellow it underneath. Is it musk? I'm not sure. Dry: This is a yummy scent on the dry-down, all musk-spice-warm. I really don't get the benzoin except maybe as the merest hint, and it works well with this scent. Overall: Nice!
-
Dragon's Bone- In Bottle: Dragon's Blood cherry-powder scent with something, ooh, white and dry and floral-lovely. Wet: A little spicy, more so than other Dragon's Blood blends. Dry: Hm, I don't really love this one the way I love other Dragon's Blood blends. The spice in this is just a little too peppery. Obviously I'm comparing it to other Dragon's Blood blends, but, hey, I know a few of them now; it goes with the territory. Overall: Not for me.
-
Saturn- In Bottle: Strong, masculine, cologne-y. Wet: Wood-and-chocolate--that's vetiver! And something a little musky-cloying. Dry: No, the dry-down on this is just a little too cloying-musky. It doesn't work for me. Overall: Not for me.
