Big box of mixed chocolates, some cherry, some citrus, some buttercream. And they are sitting in a room where somebody smoked some cherry pipe tobacco recently. Weird "cleaning supplies" smell at the beginning too . . . odd. DH says I smell like cherry chocolate brownies. Sorry, just not what I want to smell like.

The essence of faith, love and devotion: lilac, lemon, green tea, wisteria, osmanthus, white cedar, and Chinese musk. The imp was a freebie. I was looking for something floral. This is really nice, Very light and floral at first sniff. Lilac comes through fairly strong, but it's blended very well--the effect is a gentle nose filling non-rose floral. After a couple of minutes, the wisteria seems to win out. Oddly old fashioned smelling. After an hour, it is still there, but very changed, slightly woody, slightly citrus overtone is there, and I can still smell some floral. I mixed the rest of the imp with an ounce of fractionated coconut oil to use on my hair. I'm wearing it now. This works very well and the scent is lasting much longer in my hair. I like it . . . It's never going to be in my top 5, but I do like it.

Another one that DH likes FOR HIMSELF. I tried it on myself and it was earthy and OK. I tried it on DH and it was wonderful. So I mixed him up some hair gel with it (4 oz. Fruit of the earth Aloe Gel and 1 imp.) and put the 5 ml. in a rollon diluted 3 to one with perfumer's alcohol (letting it sit a week). So far he says he's gotten complements from his secretary, his partner's wife (she asked what it is so she could get some for her Dad) and one client. He says, "It's not overpowering but has real staying power, it's masculine without being Old Spicey, very nice indeed."

I got this as a free imp. I put it on this morning and I can still smell it on myself. That said, it is NOT an overpowering scent. It went on as a rich floral, very nose filling with a little bite. After a couple of hours there were water notes coming on and the floral had smoothed to a very pleasant rich glow. This is a very romantic scent with real staying power.

I got this as a Frimp. I'm wearing it today for the first time. Initially it was very rich, the Patchouli came on really strong. Then after a few minutes I was noticing that this was much more complex that I'd thought. I could just discern some cinnamon and Amber. Sandalwood was mixing nicely with the patchoulli. My husband came up behind me and said, "Oooh you smell wonderful." After 8 hours, I can still lift my dress a little and it wafts up at me. This is a very nice rich, non-floral, scent. I think it would make a great Men's scent also. This is a very sexy scent. ---------------------------- Next day, I mixed the last half of my imp with about 2 tsp. fractionated coconut oil and my husband used it on his hair and as a lotion (he has very dry skin). He smelled heavenly all day. He's asked me to order more!!!! The only other BPAL he's wanted for himself is Juke Joint. Definitely on my next order list.

I bought this because of the violet and rosewood. Wafting out of the bottle--wonderfully soft floral with that rosewood nose filling feeliing. Smells rich but not overpowering. I applied it and was pleasantly surprised that the woody notes didn't take over. The Chamomile is clearly there and the violet also. It's sweet and rich, but not overpowering. Very nice. After 4 hours. I am still smelling it and my husband says it's very nice. He seems to think ist is pleasant but not "girly". I think this is a nice daytime scent. --------------------------------------- I mixed it with 2 parts of perfumer's alcohol and made a spray. After forty-eight hours. It works faboulous. This is a great body spray scent for daytime. I applied London to my pulse points in the evening--they mix fabulously well (the hours old Libertine and the newly applied London) ---------------------------------------- This one is a keeper. I'm going to order more.

Wow--really wonderful. I've got to make a perfume spray out of this and I'm ordering more. Very feminine. It's so pretty, vaguely floral, a teeny bit of that white musk smell, and sweet and just wonderful. It really sticks with me too. I put it on this morning and I can smill smell it. This is my favorite so far. It's going on my "always have to have it" list. Gladtobemom

Shanghai is nice, but somehow seems incomplete. It needs richness. I've been wearing it since 1 PM and it's now 8 PM, The whole time I have been aware that the scent is staying inthe center of my nose. I keep thinking it needs some vanilla or something else to balance the rest of my nose. I don't usually smell "in the bottle." I find my nose gets saturated. I somehow ended up with 3 imps, one from a sister, one in a trade, and one in an order. I decided t crack them open today. The description sounds very wonderful because I love bamboo, green and white teas, and citrus. I decided to use one half of an imp in my bath. I put some Turkey red in the water then put half an imp in a little cup and floated it on top of the water. That way the warmth of the bath would spread it through the room first before I mixed it with the water. Then I went to gather up my bath things. The room smelled wonderful when I walked in. I got into the bath, then mixed a couple of drops of Turkey Red with the oil in the cup and submerged the cup to spread the oil in the water. It's a wonderful bath scent. When I got out and dried off, the scent still clung to me. I added a bit more on my tummy and my arms and the backs of my knees (my favorite places). I'm sitting here 6 and a half hours later and I can still smell it. It's clean and very nice--but still incomplete. I think I'm going to put the second imp into a bottle with some vodka and just a drop of something earthy and green--maybe sap moss or green violet. Or maybe just a little ginger flower. Alone--I think it's great for the bath and would make a great soap scent. It just needs something to richen it up. The two other imps are going in my maybe box.
