In the imp: totally smells like marzipan On wet: wow ALMOND, sweet almond though not bitter A minute later: is that jasmine? Why is it so nice? It's all sweet and soft and mellow...yum! An hour later: I really need to stop huffing because jasmine gives me a headache but yum the figgy incense! Two hours later: Yep I have a headache but it was worth it.

Khrysee smells a lot what I always imagined Snake Oil would smell like. Warm, sweet vanilla amber. Just gorgeous!!! Only here and there do I get a strong whiff of the orange blossom a la Zarita, but for the most part it's perfectly blended, absorbed even, into the soft, sensual vanilla amber. It hasn't morphed in the 4 hours since I put it on, just faded slightly. I have also caught people doing double takes walking by me in the hallway. I love this scent! I'm so glad I got a bottle.

In the imp: Sweet florals and amber On wet: Wow...smells like Zarita, that fruit and sweet cream deliciousness. Less wet: hmm...the amber is coming out now and making it all a little dusty. I liked it better wet Dry: oh hi there gardenia! There you are. I can make out very distinctly the florals, the amber, the peach, the cream and the honey. It's great but not exactly...blended? Very interesting and pleasant blend.

Yikes! Super hot, dry, dusty grass and pesticide? I can't wait it out...get off me! I don't think I've ever had such a negative reaction to a scent! Weird..

Golden mead, fermented with fruit, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger root, sweet-briar, rosemary, and lemon. Wet....smells like Queen...what IS that note? Is it hops? I wish I knew, it's such hearth-y grain, especially sweetened by honey. After @20 minutes...honey lemon (but luckily I don't get any medicinal/cough drop feel). Nice!! Very nice.

2008 version: On wet..sweet sweet pine and that great BPAL snow note that I love. Icy cool and fruity. Drying...a little more girly/floral but still the sweetness dominates. This actually reminds me a lot of The Snow Maiden which is one of my all-time favorites.

I think Medea is more crone-y, IMHO. More floral. Ultraviolet is intense, just in your face POW. I love it. But have a backup because on a bad chemistry day it can go a little cat-pee. But you should definitely present it as an option. Queen is great but it is pretty sexy. -
I got an imp of aged Laudanum once and it was a lot like motor oil..

Badger! I was fortunate enough to smell this at Bat's Day and had to pick up a bottle. Even though it's not the kind of scent I normally wear, it's the kind of scent I *wish* I normally wore! It is essentially earthy...and a little toothy. The galangal packs a real badger-bite, very sharply spicy. I think this is a blend that will age beautifully.

And the last item on the list is "Computational Physics: Fortran Version"

I love this, I'm also a sucker for so many of the lab's rose blends, but my favorite was always Parlement of Foules. This has the gentle, fancy rose of Parlement but even more delicate, and beautifully tempered by the sweet cream. As others have mentioned, this is no heavy sour cream, but a cream so....creamy (!) that it's practically a sensation instead of a scent. The honey is very mild and sweet as well. I'm really glad I got a bottle of this already.

I also don't find this too masculine; however since I will have sex with anyone or anything who dabs some on, I'm going to try to keep its availability in my area limited to my boyfriend. Testing kept me up late. The leather is raw and kinda sweet, and the musk is smooth and kinda creamy. It's not at all over the top and I find it very wearable (but I only recommend it to you if you want to have sex with me).

For me it's Mania all the way!

If she really likes amber and it's all about the ravaging, Bastet for sure. -
What BPAL would this fictional character wear?

Well I'm not good at coming up with this sort of stuff, but I think you did an awesome job on the girls esp Druscilla and Faith.. -
My old favorite, Moon Scents oils Rhiannon's Dream?

I haven't tried that but Bastet is a wonderful Egyptian musk, sexy spice and resin blend: Luxuriant amber, warm Egyptian musk, fierce saffron and soft myrrh, almond, cardamom and golden lotus It doesn't have civet listed but if you read the reviews, you'll see some mentioning it has a little "eau de sex" to it. -
I get all super sweet resins from this. Dry resins, that is the hay. The cardamom is warm and foody-sweet. The resin deep and enveloping. Yeah I want to smell like this all.the.time. The Wunderkammer is amazing.

Olfactory caffeine: Wake up, Stay Awake with BPAL
sofaking6 replied to friendthegirl's topic in Recommendations
http://www.internatural-alternative-health.../ingr182594.cfm I have been mixing this up with either Thalia, or Pink Moon for a couple of years now. I love them both but really can't justify buying more Pink Moon just for this (at least not until I get my tax refund next year). Any recs for some bright, sweet wake-up BPAL that will layer nicely under lots of scents? -
Ultraviolet has de eucalyptus. Sometimes I worship it, sometimes it cat-pees on me. Nocturne is also "very" violet. I've tried Bruised Violet Compound and found it very very faint and earthy. I'm hiding it in a closet to see if the scared little violets come out. I really want to try Violet Ray.

Mmmm...I'm trying really hard to remember what my bottle of Tez. smelled like at first but I can't...but I can tell you it's all cocoa/leather and heat now. I guess I've had it for @2 years though... I do remember that Tez. goes through a floral phase on drydown...maybe a week or so in the dark will minimize that.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

The only BPAL that I find smells like cannabis is Bien Loin D'ici, but I think it might be just me -
Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?
sofaking6 replied to Nadirah's topic in Recommendations
ACK! That sounds PERFECT. Ah, well. But of course it was LE. You know it's actually not the hardest to find...I bet if you put up an ISO you'd find a bottle. Do you think she would like Hope of Hope and Faith? It's very sweet but also VERY rose.
