I was very disappointed by this one. In the bottle, it's a lovely floral... and I usually like flowery, rosey scents alot. But on my skin, something really strange happened. I started to smell the soapy, watery scent, and unfortunately, it reminded me inexplicably of a (clean, well-kept) public restroom. o.O Damn, I really wanted to like it! Hamlet is my favorite play in the history of ever. :-( Boo.

In the imp: Spiked with malice is right! it's not nearly as sweet as I expected, which is good.. because my skin naturally candies fruit scents. The first things I get are the apricot and the jasmine, but the apricot I don't mind. It's watery, oceany smell.. but not what the atlantic smells like. It smells more exotic, more.. mediterannean-at-night, almost. It does seem a little incensey the more I sniff it, which if unforunate, but I'll see. I haven't test driven it yet.

Very pretty and flowery at first. It's not quite as sexual to me as the description makes it out to be, but I'll have to wait and see what it does on my skin. I love the rose scent, though, because that seems fairly dominant. The bergamot I can also smell, and just a hint of jasmine. I'm not sure about the mandarin, myrrh, or neroli yet, and it doesn't smell very musky. I like it, but I'd really like to see what happens when I wear it.

In the imp: Really sweet and mellow. The first thing that jumps out at me is honey. When I opened the cap a little bit got on my fingers, and the honey is lingering really pleasantly on my skin. It's a very warm, natural scent. You know when authors describe a sweet kiss tasting of honey? This is what that kiss would smell like if you could smell it. It's comfortable, beautiful, and light. Probably my favorite thus far. The patchouli and ylang ylang are just enough to round it out. After I applied: The honey dissipates and it becomes less wet, but it definitely doesn't disappear. The clove comes more the the forefront, making it dry and ever-so-slightly spicey. It seemed to naturally deepen, which I like, and I can just catch the teeniest hint of honey around it now. Over all, golden and really sexy. One of my favorites so far.

The first thing I can smell is a tangy, dark cherry scent, but the longer I sniff it a very light touch of musk comes through. I'm assuming it's the vetiver that's making the cherry as dark as it is. This seems to be a sharper scent, and not my favorite, but I certainly still like it. I can't smell much of the wine yet, but I wonder if that'll come through more once I wear it.

The description's really accurate. This scent put me in mind of lots of wealthy aristocrats being decadent and whispering behind their fans. At the same time, it's sort of exotic. Sniffing it with the cap still on, I get a lighter, sweeter figgy kind of smell, but as soon as the cap comes off the palm attacks me, sprinkled with enough cocoa to make it rich and fill it out. It's slightly reminiscent of what I imagine an island smells like. I'm definitely a fan. Haven't test driven it yet, so I'm not sure what my skin will do to it, but it's rich and lovely in the bottle.
