    Punkie Night

I can't think of a scent that evokes such strong Autumn thoughts as Punkie Night. An infusion of apples, the tartness of cranberries and the spice of cider. I can also sense a hint of dry leaves and little smokiness. All blend together beautifully to produce a tart, spicy apple scent.

    Pumpkin Queen

Spicy, buttery pumpkin with orange and amber to soften and give it dimension. At first the spices of red ginger and cardamom with orange peel and mandarin, lend a hot toddy/chai/cider feel. When the warm pumpkin begins to blossom, Pumpkin Queen thakes a foody twist. Think pumpkin pie, instead of hot cider. Once the amber and orange begin to mingle this becomes a different scent. Absolutely gorgeous.

    Aeval

Musk brightened with tonka, sage and sweet pea. It is fresh, crisp and clean smelling. I love the herbal element with sage and the sweetness of tonka and sweet pea. A perfect combination.

    Aizen-Myoo

Simply a very pretty, and bright blend that is happy and energetic. The stars of Aizen-Myoo is definitely the grapefruit and yuzu with a splash of cherry blossom for good measure. Black tea grounds the blend and adds a bit of tartness, which is needed. Overall a sunny citrus blend with a hint of blossoms and black tea.

    Anubis

... His scent is a blend of holy myrrh, storax, balsam, and embalming herbs. Mysterious, resiny, herbally and I detect a touch of honey that sweetens it. Unfortuantely the honey component which must be the storax is overwhelming everything else. I long for the scent of myrrh and balsam. As this dries down, the honey note dissipates (thank goodness), and the balsam starts to shine through. I dunno about this one. I originally placed it in the keep pile, but have been retesting everything and I think my tastes have changes. It is just a little too sweet for me.

    Arcana

A comforting blend of lavender and rosemary, brightened softly with neroli and verbena. Once in awhile I catch a quick whiff of frankincense, but the dominant notes are definitely lavender and verbena. Rosemary gives it a quite the herbal touch and neroli softens and slightly sweetens. I find it very uplifting and also seems to clear my head, when it is too muddled.

    Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo

Bottled happiness. Helps reverse misfortune, brings light and laughter to even the most troubled and discordant place, and aids in alleviating the stress and discontent that accompanies so many of life's daily trials. Fruity. Candy-ish. Sweet. Pink. Girly. Happy. Not at all what I was expecting when I tried this. Now, when I need to remind myself that life is short and make it what you want, I sniff this.

    Arkham

This is one of those scents that seems to encompass a wide variety of two scent families and just doesn't disappoint. The combination of cypress, pine, dogwood and maple is just about too much to handle, and I mean that in an good way. I love the smell of woods. Cypress tends to go quite herbally, while pine & maple add sweetness. Birch is more of a true woodsy scent and dogwood screams florals. Together they meld beautifully and you feel like your experiencing the forest. Then there is the addtion of wildflowers spreading all over the forest floor and between wiffs of forest, you also get moss, bergamot, blue violet and phlox. The beauty is that both forest and flora combine to create a gentle, clean, wet scent that is neither overpowering or nauseating. Truly stunning Beth. One of my favorite blends.

    Asphodel

Soft florals and fields of grass. It begins as a gentle scent, the scent of grass and bunches of flowers that I can't pinpoint. There is a sweetnes and innocence to Aspoel. It's pretty and very romantic.

    Ahathoor

This is certainly a scent that is chock full of mystery. I detect amber, spices, a sprinkling of herbs and maybe some mint. The amber is dry, and the spices are resiny and full of flavour. The herbs give a medicinal feel and the combination of all feels soothing, warm and very comforting. Just like the sun.

    Antony

Gently worn leather, green grass and herbs. At times I catch whiffs of incense and frankincense, but add depth and spiciness than smoke or darkness. Sage and basil provide a crisp and fresh/herbal background and well worn leather adds a broken touch. It is definitely masculine, but the crspness of the herbs and the addition of ambergris and frankincense allow it to be unisex. No one scent is dominate, but the scent says strength.

    Beaver Moon 2005

Strawberry, vanilla cheesecake complete with buttercream frosting. It is so damn yummy. While it has a great throw it does not compare with BM'07. In the background there is a hint of red fruits, maybe strawberries, cherries, or raspberries. However, vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting is now embedded in my brain, and the berries are a mere afterthought. So flipping yummy.

    Strawberry Moon 2005

Oh Strawberry Moon. How I adore your scent. Initially I get tart strawberry with green tea and sage. I can faintly detect lotus and ylang ylang, but I have to really huff my arm. The strawberry is tart and ripe, the cream is sweet and thick. Together it smells like strawberry green tea with a hint of vanilla cream. The sage grounds the blend and gives a herbal vibe to sweetness. Absolutely Beautiful.

    Beaver Moon 2007

A vanilla that loves me! This is a foody lover's dream scent. Sweet and very creamy vanilla cake with wild cherry and strawberry. Unlike Beaver Moon '05, BM'07 lasts all day and all night on my skin. The throw is wonderful and longlasting. The wild cherry mingled with strawberry is delectible and sooo yummy. I am very thankful that I had the good sense to order a few bottles of this when it was live.

    Blood Moon 2008

Mmmm. Blood Moon is beautiful. I detect forest flora, deep woods and musk immediately. It is a soft floral musk with hints of incense, lunar oils and the odd whiff of wood here and there. Musk can sometimes be overpowering on me, but not this time. It is soft and lends a certain sweetness to the Blood Moon. For some reason, I am also detecting the scent of clean cotten, which I swear is what lunar oils materialize on my skin. This is really pretty. I am thankful the incense is not heavy and dark, but light and remains in the background. Overall a very pretty blend. No note is dominant, but all blend together amazingly. eta: All I can smell now is dryer sheets, and I adore it! This must be where the clean cotton note was coming from!

    Aglaea

This scent always makes me happy. The lush peach, 3 golden sunny ambers and musk combine to say "Hey, get up, lifes too short to lay in bed all day." For the most part this is all peach and musk, but as it dries down, the 3 warm and inviting golden ambers step in and lend a vanilla feel. I adore amber, and was wondering when it was going to make an appearance. It is creamy, sunny, bright, and very lush.

    The Apothecary

This was one of those first scents I fell in love with. One those scents that had me falling in love with BPAL. A stunning combination of green grass and moss decorated with fig and ginger. The tea leaf is prominent at the beginning, but after initial drydown, this is all green and very herbally. The green of the grass is lush and feels wet. The moss is spongey. The spice of ginger mingling with lavender, and eucalyptus is magical

    Antique Lace

Such a beautiful, delicate scent. The smell of fading vanilla blended with clean, crisp cotten, and a hint of flowers. Together they combine to produce a breathtaking perfume. It is so gentle, pretty and extremely comforting. Not one note dominates the other, just meld together beautifully. A favorite of mine.

    Akuma

This is a bright, cheerful, fruity scent. The neroli adds depth to the blood orange and raspberry, and I find it lends to taking most of the sweetness and doing away with it. It is fun and playful and very uplifting.

    Spiked Punch

Boozy, fruit punch indeed. There is not much to more to describe. After drydown, the booze fades and I am left with a slightly drunk fruit punch. An hour after application it has faded into the sun. Boo.

    Crypt Queen

This is one of those blends that unfortuantely one note ruins it all. And such was the case with crypt queen. I had such hopes that the pacthouli would stay in the background, unfortuantely the dirty earthiness of the 'chouli mingled with blood accord and rose musk was just too overwhelming and made me sick. I can't believe I didn't even detect plum, raspberry, pomengranate, gardenia or even the black pepper. Fortunately I sold the bottle and kept the crypt to hold my weenie decants in!

    Pumpkin Cheesecake

This is alot like Jack, and I adore Jack. Spicy, a touch of pumpkin, vanilla graham crackers and a hint of brown sugar. It's creamy and its foody. I detect tiny bits of carrot from time to time which surprisingly add a bit of dimension to the pumpkin/floody blend. At times I reminded of Jack and the illustrious Pumpkin Queen.

    Pumpkin Smash

Slightly foody, definitely pumpkin-y. This is the quissential pumpkin scent. Not WHAM in your face pumpkin, but a more complex pumpkin. I can smell the melted wax from the beeswax candle, I smell smoke from the burning candle and I can also smell asphalt. This starts off really foody - like it wants to be pumpkin pie, but then realizes it's not! It feels masculine with the beer and smoke, but why does that have to be masculine... I adore pumpkin scents, and this one does not disappoint. In fact I would have to say that is pretty high up on my list.

    Egg'd Mailbox

A sweetened, vanilla floral. It is very creamy, and at times the vanilla overpowers the floral. I can see the comparisons to creme brulee or vanilla custard. There is a spice vibe that I can detect every now and again. I also at times get a metallic twang. Egg'd mailbox is awesome. Foody, floral and very pretty.

    Sugar-Slathered Candied Apple

This is the scent of a large granny smith apple, candied with sugar and smothered in caramel. The apple is crisp and tart, the sugar is sweet and the addition of caramel is soo yummy. I swear it feels like I have just eaten a candied apple.
