    Skytyping with Chemtrails

This is beautiful. Lemongrass, hints of ozone, white amber & musk sweetened with spun sugar. The result is definitely a lemon based amber with sugar. It's refreshing, tart. sweet, crisp and airy. Kinda reminds me of Crib Girls at the beginning stages.

    Fae

I adore Fae. It has the ability to get too sweet, but that is when the oakmoss appears and tempers it. The peach is lush, juicy and sweet, the musk adds a bit of playfulness while the bergamot and heliotrope add tartness. A perfect scent for summer. It's light, yet rich, sticks close to the skin and the heat from my skin makes the musk sing.

    Jailbait

Sweet pink bubblegum. Yep that's it. Bubblegum. Bazooka Joes. The kind that loses it's flavour after 10 chews. Not really my thing, but fun to test.

    Delirium

I love all the notes so I am surprised that I am just kinda meh about this one. I guess I just don't see the rose working with the apple and lemon. Or maybe if the rose would be subtle. But when has rose ever been subtle. Oh well can't love them all!

    Shattered

Minty citrus with ozone, and white florals. Its sweet and tart and very mint, however there is something that just doesn't work with my skin chemistry. I think it could be the lotus. It just doesn't blend right with mint and grapefruit. Too bad this could have been a great summer blend.

    Tombstone

I love, love, love a strong wood blend. Cedar and balsam are two notes that I can always count on to deliver. Tombstone is all dusty cedar and medicinal balsam covered in creamy vanilla with hints of Sassafras in the backgroud. I love when sassafras smells like a perfect malt rootbeer, and in this blend it delivers the the malt on cue. It's perfect.

    Miskatonic University

Hot black coffee sweetened with sugar and the umistakeable scent of old wood. Love it.

    The Deep Ones

Count me as another who was surprised when I first tested this. It was not at all what I was expecting. From the notes and name alone, I imagined a deep, dark aquatic scent. This is not salty, but sweet, and slightly perfumey floral. Don't get me wrong - it's pretty, but I was hoping for a little more seaweed and blackness.

    Honey Moon

This could have been so good but that wretched jasmine showed up and ruined everything. I can also smell thyme, but any chance of honey and supposedly there are five of them, were drowned out by the jasmine and thyme. So very sad.

    Flower Moon 2005

A burst of fresh cut flowers, greenery, and perhaps a bruised petal or two. Unlike Flower Moon '09 the sweetness is all in the blooms. Tulips and violets are at the forefront, and everything else is just a melding of florals. I can also smell the sweetness of ozone and aquatics. I only wish the greenery would come out a little more to cut the overwhelming sweetness.

    Mead Moon

Another honey blend that I pulled from the collection to retest after the killer beez update. This is honey at it's finest. Thick, rich, medicinal at times, sexy at others. Fermented to me is like marinating meat/poultry or fish. This particular honey is studded with lemon, herbs, fruit and spices and the longer it marinates the more stunning it becomes. Clove, nutmeg and cinnamon manage to cut the sweetness ever so slightly and just add a richness and dimension.

    Flower Moon 2009

I had to pull this out after the Killer Beez update, as I have realized that my dislike of honey in Beth's blends has drastically changed over the last year. I thought that if I aged Flower Moon the florals would become less pronounced and the golden honey would be richer. I am not disappointed. When I first tested my bottle the swamp jasmine was all I could smell, but now this is a beautiful mixture of all florals (not one is prevalent) and thick golden honey. It is sunny, and rich, lush and sweet. At times the honey is a bit medicinal (which happens with my skin chemistry and that's ok, because I adore medicinal smells) but overall this is stunning.

    Sundew

Golden amber and sunbaked florals. It's thick, rich, golden, warm and very beautiful.

    Glasgow

Pretty straight forward. Heathered blackberries with hints of rose. It's soft, and sticks close to the skin. It's also a comfort scent for me.

    Motley

I had doubts about this one due to champaca, and it didn't disappoint. Unforunately it is too overwhelming and literally drowns out the black currant, rhubarb and myrrh. The combination of champaca and mushroom is extremely offputting. Off to go wash off.

    All In The Golden Afternoon

This is the best part of summer - bottled. Sun, lush, ripe fruits and flowers in full bloom baking in the warmth. The smell is intoxicating and with the slightest hints of amber and tobacco this only gets better. Everything about this blends screams warmth, comfort, and just a little sexy. This will get tonnes of wear in the upcoming months.

    The Coil

Stunning. Ozone tinged florals with cooling mint and eucalyptus. It's airy & soft and somehow it becomes aquatic. The florals especially passionflower and white ginger are the stars in this blend. They bloom like it has been raining heavily and all of a sudden it stops and they open up into the sun. I bought a bottle of this as soon as it was released and it has only gotten better with age. The mint and eucalyptus have mellowed slightly adding a coolness to the flowers.

    The Confectionary

Berry white cake. It smells like a mixture of several different berries. Strawberry, raspberry, balckberries. Dusted with icing sugar. It kinda does have a Midway vibe. Kinda...and just like Midway it lasts all of 15 seconds on my skin. Foodies are going to love this.

    Black Widow Circus

Like others I can identify lush, ripe dark fruits. Plums, cherries and perhaps berries. I also get soft florals, touches of cold, and a definite smoky note underlying it all. After drydown the florals move into the background and that unmistakeable scent of star anise aka black licorice mingles with the fruits. I can't pinpoint the florals or the cold note. I want to say mint, but it doesn't come across as sweet. I tend to associate mint with a certain sweetness. It's almost liek a blast of cool air sweeps through the blend.

    Shub-Niggurath

Love. This is all gingerbread chai, and smoky, dark resins. It's spicy and slightly foody, and I will love wearing this in the winter. The ginger and resins are definitely the stars here.

    Shoggoth

A spicy citrus scent with coconut and lemongrass. This is amazing. It's fresh, creamy, crisp, spicy and very pretty. A perfect scent for the summer. Stays close to the skin, but lasts forever.

    Embalming Fluid

One of my all-time faves. Simple, crisp & summery. It is the perfect warm weather scent. It sticks close to the skin, and somehow the white musk and aloe keep me feeling fresh and cool. Lemon is predominant at first, but as it dries down it drops into the background letting the other notes come alive.

    Zephyr

A beautiful citrussy white floral with dry, dusty sandalwood, creamy vanilla and hints of musk. The vanilla and musk soften the sandalwood so it is just this wisp of sweet woods, and it blends so well with the lemon verbena, neroli and bergamot. It is a perfect spring scent. Light, crisp, woodsy yet sweet with just the right amount of florals. I love how it sticks close to the skin.

    Chaste Moon 2010

The comparison to White Moon with snow is bang on, and hopefully people weren't too disappointed that this is nowhere near like the original. Chaste Moon '10 is a creamy, milky white floral with hints of snow & ozone. It is definitely a floral perfume, however it is soft and unassuming, while most floral blends scream "hi, i'm wearing flowers." Since I also adore White Moon, cream notes and soft florals, this is love.

    Overprotective Possessed Talking Doll

Hmmm. The strawberry in the beginning stages is tart, fresh, juicy and probably the most realistic strawberry note I have smelt in a long time. Unfortunately once the mimosa appears it does horrible things. The strawberry immediately turns into a burnt, sugary powder and overpowers anything else this blend may have had to offer.
