    Embalming Fluid

In the Imp (ITI): Strong lemon, tea, and a faint paperiness coupled with musk. Wet: Wow, this is sophisticated and feminine, but not in an overbearing way. I get light green tea, lemon blossoms, the coolness of aloe, and just the faintest touch of musk. Lovely! Dry: The lemon started to get sharp as it dried, but it has since dried to a light zesty note which, coupled with the green tea and the musk, is surprising clean and refreshing. I think I may want a bottle of this.

    Vampire Tarot: The Magician

ITI: The benzoin here is strong, but appealing when paired with the turmeric and the oude. Wet: The rosewood is much stronger on my skin, although the benzoin is still one of the top notes I get. There is just a hint of turmeric still. Dry: I get olibanum now, rosewood, benzoin, and just a touch of turmeric. It’s a rather resinous scent.

    Monarch

ITI: Very strong ginger and pumpkin. This does not bode well for my nose. Wet: Well, at least I get a little mandarin to temper to overpowering sweetness of the pumpkin and ginger. The sugar might be amping the pumpkin a bit as it smells like spiced pumpkin latte. Dry: Yep, that’s still pumpkin, sugar, and ginger. I wish more of the fruit complexities came out on my skin.

    Epomophorus Monstrosus

In the Imp (ITI): Cocao, tonka, and a little musk. I normally don't like foody scents, but this is pleasant. Wet: I get mahogany first, then the cacao and tonka, all bracketed by the camphor aspects of balsam. Dry: Mm, dried is lovely. I get mahogany, musk, tonka, faint cacao, and something that has a touch of myrrh.

    Okayaki

ITI: I get cardamom, lilt, and olive blossom (although it smells similar to cherry blossom from Pink Mood). Wet: Olive blossom, some bergamot, amber (although a little powdery), and a orangish sweetness, like orange blossom as well. It's rather pretty. Dry: Olive blossom (very clear now), with hints of vanilla and a little bergamot.

    Pink Mood

ITI: Odd. There is a strange paper quality to this scent, like newly pressed washi. Beyond that, I can detect faint neroli and anise. Wet: It still smells very similar to the ITI scent, retaining that bark/just pressed paper quality. The star anise, however, is a bit stronger on my skin. Dry: Once dried (20 minutes), the scent has become a combination of cherry blossom, anise, vanilla, and just a hint of violet. It's lovely.

    Penis Admiration

ITI: Warm smoky vanilla with lilac undertones are the first notes I get. If I concentrate, I can detect a little tonka. Wet: Tonka, vanilla, lilac, and just a hint of wood. It reminds me a little of baby oil's scent. Dry: This one doesn't have too much longevity, as after 6 hours, I can only smell the vanilla.

Autumn Moon of the Mirror Stand

ITI: Oh, this is nice. I get mandarin, a little vanilla, and just a pinch of sharpness from the cognac. No quince or honey around (yet). Wet: It's more musky on my skin, but the mandarin and cognac are still clear. I'm getting a hint of Robitussin for some reason as well. Dry: It smells like paper, cognac, quince, and honey. Hmm, I'm not liking it as much while dry.

    Harimise

ITI: I smell an odd combination of rose powder, roasted chestnut, and rose geranium. It makes my nose tingle a little when I smell it. Wet: Rice powder that smacks more of sake and musty chestnut with sweetly faint undertones of rose geranium. The notes behave a little better once on my skin. Dry: The chestnut and rice powder blur to the extent that it smells like brown sugar. I only get the faintest impression of rose, but nothing else.

    Tanuki No Senkimochi

ITI: I get a lemon note, which isn't listed in the description. After that, anise seed and cypress come out to play. At 6:30 in the morning, this is a welcome scent. Wet: It smells refreshing, like a cilantro mojito. While I can detect the myrrh briefly, I'm getting heavy berry, like juniper berry, rather than cypress. Dry: It gets a bit dry and powdery, but a sake-like tone to the powderiness. The musk is still clear, and so are bits of myrrh and a little something citrusy.

    Smoky Moon 2012

ITI: I get patchouli, oudh, wood, and something that smells a little like dried fig that I can't place. Wet: I get lemony herbs, which must be the elemi, along with grapefruit, hints of amber (that in combination with grapefruit give me fig for some reason) and something that smells a little like wet tea leaves (guiac wood I think). It is a rather soothing scent. Dry: It's much sweeter when dry, which is due to the amber. I get a little patchouli as well as oudh. Very comforting.

    Kiss Amongst Discarded Tissues

ITI: Blackberry, musk, and gardenia - lovely! Wet: Blackberry, gardenia and something a little like berry. There might be a little mandarin as well. Dry: Deliciously sweet blackberry, mandarin, and gardenia. It's still luscious and something I would love to have a bottle of.

    Mori Girl

In the Bottle (ITB): I get wisteria, jasmine, and a softer, sweeter note. I assume this is the honey powder. It is rather feminine, although a bit more floral than I had originally anticipated. Wet: Wow, the wisteria is very strong on my skin and reads a little synthetic. However, the jasmine underneath keeps in from being too overwhelming. I don't get any more of the honey, but I think I get touches of moss. Dry: I get a little cream note from the honey dust I think, but I still get mostly gardenia and jasmine with a touch of moss. It's pretty, but I like I think Boystyle better out of the 4 event exclusives.

    Dolly Kei

In the Imp (ITI): I get bourbon vanilla and amber with subtle hints of myrrh and frankincense - it's really pretty. Wet: On my skin, the copal and amber are much more prominent, although I'm also getting the tonka. I smell hints of the vanilla bourbon, but it is no longer the dominant note. Dry: Now the bourbon vanilla has emerged again. The scent is pleasantly sweet with resinous overtones and woody undertones.

    Boystyle Aristocrat

In the Imp (ITI): Oh, the bergamot is the first note that reaches my nose, although the notes of peppercorn and orris follow shortly thereafter. It is rather sophisticated but at the same time, slightly pompous. Wet: I love this on. The patchouli, orris, and bergamot mingle to great something alluring, polished, and slightly feminine. I don't get much peppercorn, though. Dry: The scent doesn't have much throw after the first few hours, and it seems to nearly dissipate entirely on my skin after 6 hours or so. That said, it dries down to feature light bergamot and hints of orris and patchouli cologne.

    Hime Gyaru

In the Imp (ITI): Pink sugar, strong but girly musk, violet, sugar and gardenia. It' s grily but slightly sophisticated as well. Parks of the "pink" quality remind me of Red, the Fraggle scent, to a certain extent. Wet: Yum! Violets, sugar, pink musk, currant, and light gardenia combine to make such a lovely floral scent. It reminds me of chiffon and lace. Dry:As it dries, the musk and sugar come out, but not to the point of being overly sweet or masking the softly feminine floral of the violets and lilacs.

    Mokey

ITI: What a pleasantly sweet floral scent. It's light and contemplative, like sitting in a bay window overlooking your garden while drinking tea and while being warmed by the afternoon sun. I get pleasantly strong orris root with lilacs, stephanotis, and violets. Wet: The orris root and stephanotis are stronger on my skin, but I still get lilacs and violets with something that smells like white tea to me. Dry: It now get's a bit soapy and reminds me of Dove body lotion with a little more lilac. It's not bad as it is a clean scent, but I wish it had retained some of its initial characteristics.

    Eanach Dhuin

ITI: It smells like nicely scented bathroom cleaner - what's what aquatic notes tend to read as to my nose. However, I can smell a bit of clove, oud, and zdravetz that makes it interesting enough for me to want to try it. Wet: Slight stagnant river water, frankincense, oud, and a touch of blackberry. Dry: I get more spice (frankincense and oud) along with wood, now with just hints of water. It is tolerable now that it is dried, but I'm still not terribly fond of aquatics.

    Hoggle

ITI: I get sugar, pumpkin, butter, and rum for some reason. IT's interesting, although awfully foody. Wet: Sugared pumpkin, sweetened butter, dust (attic kind), and pipe tobacco. Dry: It's spicier when it dries down, I think from the combination of tobacco and woods. There is more dust now, but still some of that overly buttered pumpkin underneath it all. I am still not sure about this one me.

    Dolce Stil Nuovo

ITI: Oh, it's spicy from the jasmine and musk combination, but at the same time it has a heady flower component from the rose otto and lavender, all of which I can smell clearly. Wet: Hmm, it reads woodsy and herby with lavender, which is odd because there is not much in the way of herb or wood notes. As it starts to dry, there is a little rose, but it is a sophisticated rose. Dry: It ends but being rose otto, jasmine, musk, and lavender, but dried down in such a way that either a man or a woman could wear this. I like it, especially if you are looking for a deeper floral scent.
  21. ITI: It reminds me a little of one of Lush’s chocolate facemasks (Cupcake, I think). The chocolate is so dark that it almost has a coffee-like quality. As I finish my inhale, the top of the scent, like a ripe cherry, is the earthy tomato, and it is sun-dried. I actually like this combination. Wet: It’s very similar to the ITI scent, although I’m getting more of the comfrey. Dry: Dark chocolate, something berry-ish, with wafts of almond. This will be a chocolate scent that I keep!

    Pumpkin I (2009)

ITI: Ooh, I'm not normally a foody, but I respond well to the pumpkin and brown musk together. It smells like there is brown sugar in there as well. Wet: I get more of an odd muskiness now that it is on my skin. While it is not mentioned in the note list, I get nutmeg and a little berry as well. The honey does sweeten things up, but I don't get much almond. Dry: I get more mulling spices with my pumpkin. I actually like this quite a bit.
  23. ITI: I’m overwhelmed by the scent of fake white chocolate. There is a bit of lemongrass, but inhaling deeply sends a tinge to my head. Wet: Still pungent fake white chocolate, but I get more lemongrass and some coriander. Dry: After 6 hours and a workout, I get the pleasant smell of light sugar and almond fluff – much more palatable once it’s gotten a chance to dry down.

    Nude Woman Reclining

ITI: I get calla lilies very strongly on the first sniff, although the jasmine is not far behind. There is something sweet, like currant, that I can’t place yet. The ambrette seed follows, lending the scent a muskiness that I imagine would be fitting for a knavishly appointed room in which an oil painting would be created. Wet: Hmm, there is still something here that reads overtly sweet and a little like cough medicine. I get more musk on my skin and I can finally detect a little vanilla. The flowers have taken center stage to this medicinal, sweet, musky conglomeration that this scent has become. Dry: It’s much better when dry, although there is still a bit of that odd sweetness peaking through the muskiness of the ambrette and the vanilla. However, I welcome the presence of the honeysuckle, yum!

    The Lion

In the Imp (ITI): While I get amber, it’s a fig, clove, and nutmeg amber. I hope it doesn’t turn powdery on me. Wet: The amber is just a touch sour on my skin, and there is an odd dry grass note in there in addition to the nutmeg. What an odd scent. Dry: Dry, spicy nutmeg and pastry-like amber, although I do get something a little more foody but that I can’t place. Odd.
