Happy Baby in a Long Dress

In the Bottle (ITB): It's bright lavender and dried and sugared lemon slices. Wet: The lavender is a bit stronger on my skin and there seems to be a less sugary sweet quality to the lemon, but it is still refreshing and relaxing at the same time. Dry: The lavender steps back to allow the lemon sugar to shine. It reminds me of Fresh's lemon sugar at time point.

    Dragon Moon 2008

In the Bottle (ITB): It's a bit green from the sweetgrass, sage, and a touch of peppermint, but cedar and peppermint do seem to appear after a few seconds. Wet: It's wet, strongly resinous with the dragon's blood muddled with the sage, lavender, and peppermint. It reminds me of baby oil a little, but it's also a scent I wouldn't mind using for relaxation. Dry: Once dried, the sage and peppermint mellow down to the extent that the frankincense, bergamot, and magnolia can shine. I like this one!

    Slippery Poppy Tincture

In the Imp (ITI): Honey and berry is all I get. Sadly, no poppy yet. Wet: Ah, there's the poppy - floral and bitingly green at the same time, flanked by berry and honey. Dry: Very green, slightly bitter floral, and berry splashed with honey. It makes my nose tickle, though.

    Screaming Mandragora

In the Imp (ITI): It's fruity, succulent, and slightly earthy, like dirt and lychee, maybe. Wet: It's still earthy and fruity, but the fruit really is a pale fruit for me. It strikes me as slightly tropical. Dry: After 12 hours, I can't really detect anything. After reapplication, it's light and airy -coconut, certainly. It's so pretty.

    Thy Godfather's Present

ITI: Hmm, there is an aquatic note in here somewhere. I also can pick up the herbs and slightly sweet florals. Wet: Hyssop, light herb, and fainter aquatic. It's nicer on my skin than it is in the bottle. Dry: The hyssop is stronger when dried, but part of the notes remind me of early 90's Glade air freshener.

    Miskatonic University

ITI: IT's super foody, like walking into a coffee shop / creamery. There is a little hint of dust behind it all, but I really wasn't it expecting it to be so overwhelmingly sweet. Wet: It's still very much the same as when I smelled it in the imp - no additional note surprises. Dry: It's still smells like a Starbucks frappuccino party. It's too sweet for me.

    Frumious Bandersnatch

ITI: It is spicy and musky, but certainly floral from the chrysanthemum and poppy. I remember sniffing this when I first got it and not liking it as much. It appears that this one ages well. Wet: Very spicy poppy, succulent wild plum, musk, and chrysanthemum. It makes my mouth water. Dry: It doesn't last too long, but I still get something that is a sweet poppy and musk mix.

    Mad Hatter

ITI: Very much lavender-citron cologne with fresh pennyroyal. It's rather refreshing as a scent so far. Wet: I get fields of lavender and thick pennyroyale. It's simply but gorgeous so far. Even if it's more masculine, I would wear this in a heartbeat. Dry: The lavender and pennyroyale are a bit more tame so I can pick out the musk and the faint cologne quality to it. It's still a very attractive scent. Mad Hatter, you fox, you.

    Noh Mask and Maple Leaves

ITI: It's spicy and astringent, like nettles, crushed ants, and freshly cut wood. Wet: It still smells very much the same on my skin, except I get a little more maple leaf. Dry: Once dried, the nasty aspects of the scent have gone away. It's not a pleasant combination of woods and a touch of clove.
  10. ITI: It a white scent, reminding me of crisp linens. I can pick up the neroli, jasmine, and tuberose well. The other notes haven't made themselves apparent. Wet: It's a bit more floral on my skin - tuberose, rose, jasmine, and neroli with a hint of white tobacco. Dry: Wow, it morphs. It's softer and sweeter once dried. The white tobacco, musk, neroli, jasmine, and tuberose, while distinct, form a scent that is feminine, clean, and sophisticated.

    Dragon's Bone

ITI: It's dragon's blood and Dial antibacterial soap. I usually love sandalwood and orris root, so I'm not sure why I'm getting this impression. Wet: I get a similar impression, but there's a dry resinous to the scent from the orris root and a little resin sweetness from the sandalwood once applied to my skin. Dry: Sadly, this one doesn't stand the work-day test. On re-application, I get orris root, sandalwood, some dragon's blood resin, and more antibacterial soap.

    Desire

ITI: It's a bit too sweet for me. The apple is artificial smelling and the vanilla and musk take it over the top for me. Wet: Rose apple, musk, and vanilla - it reminds me of candy. I was hoping for something more exotic, though. Dry: The sweetness has toned down some to vanilla, faint rose and apple, but I don't get any neroli, bergamot, and patchouli, which makes me sad.

    Thieves' Rosin

In the Imp (ITI): I get smoke, vanilla, wood resin, and musk. Wet: The rosin (pine resin) is a bit more clear here, but now I'm picking up something that reads as orange along with the musk and the vanilla. Dry: It smells like honey, cocoa, and teak wood. Odd but interesting.

    Gnome

In the Imp (ITI): I get sharp ginger, smoke, and sarsaparilla with something that is a little citrus-like. Wet: Wet and spicy, like ginger in a rainforest. There's some effervescent qualities to this scent. The sarsaparilla and ginger to transform to a quality ginger beer amalgamation Dry: Powdered ginger with peppercorn, light sarsaparilla, and a touch of smoke. It's a bit darker than I had anticipated it would dry down to.

    The Dormouse

ITI: its green and herby with sweetly steeped tea and a light floral. It's a little more pungent than I expected, though. Wet: It stays true to the ITI scent while on my skin, which is refreshing. Dry: It's soft and sweet, like tea cakes at high tea. What a fitting scent for the scent's name!

    Silenti

ITI: Rich olibanum, myrrh, and wisteria. I thought the wisteria would be more abrasive, but the blend of notes is rather pretty. Wet: The olibanum is much softer on my skin, leaving the myrrh and wisteria to flourish together. Dry: It's soft and sleepy from the myrrh and Spanish moss, while also lending a contemplative note from the wisteria. It's a lovely scent, actually.
  17. ITI: It's masculine, but pleasingly so. It reminds me of a nice man's cologne. Wet: The musk, galbanum, and olibanum are certainly strong, but it's the immortelle that starts to peek through and soften the scent about a minute after application. Dry: Once dried, it sits very close to the skin. The myrrh and musk take over a bit, but the galbanum and olibanum are still dominant elements here.

    Strangler Fig

ITI: It's strangely green and sweet, like walking into an romantic garden. I can pick up the soil, but there's something that's reading as cotton candy to me. Wet: Damp, sweet loam, faint strawberries, and a hint of green. It's a rather unusual scent. Dry: Yum, now I'm getting light wood, strawberries, chocolate soil, and a touch of green. If you want something more complex, I'd give this scent a try.

La Bella Donna Della Mia Mente

ITI: My first impressions: the scent is sweet and floral, but like a candied sweet. I get lots of pomegranate followed by myrtle and peach blossom. I don't pick up the aquatic and I'm so thankful for that. Wet: The pomegranate and peach blossom come to the forefront, although the rose is now peeking out. A few seconds in and yes, there's the aquatic and of course it turns into bathroom sanitizer on me. Dry: Ok, at least the aquatic has toned down some. The peach blossom is still going strong about 10 minutes in, and the pomegranate juice has become much less artificial. I can now pick up the melilot as well. Overall, it's a sweetly balanced scent once it dries.

    Czernobog

ITI: Oh, that's really nice. The vetiver is bright and citrusy here - more lime than anything else. It's softened by the musk and the myrrh somewhat, but not enough from making this an uplifting pick-me-up scent. Wet: Oh yea, that's lime alright. It reminds me of a lime cooler. Delicious! Dry: The vetiver has toned down to light lemongrass surrounded by soft, brown musks and myrrh. It's such a pretty combination.

    Nanshe

ITI: I get lavender with just a hint of lemon verbena. Wet: Strong lavender like lavender fields waft from my skin. Even without the verbena showing up, I still really enjoy it. Dry: There's the verbena again - strong and clear, flanked now weakly by the lavender. It's still a lovely scent.

    Love-Lies-Bleeding

ITI: It's oddly chocolate-y with something that reminds me of faint neroli. Wet: I still get cocoa or chocolate, but there's something sweet in her too aside from the slight citrus, like sugar or vanilla. This is confusing me. It should be floral! Dry: After it's dried, the chocolate settles down some as does the sugar aspect; however, I can detect just a smidgen of floral now.

    Snap-Dragon-Fly

ITI: It's rather foody, like caramel popcorn (suet perhaps), berries, and buttered bread with sweet cooking spices. It's warm and inviting, actually. Wet: Artificial berry jam, plum, suet, and just little baking bread. Dry: I still get the berry jam scent (which still might be the brandy-soaked raisin), along with a grainy mid tone. It's interesting, but it makes me hungry.

    Third Charm

ITI: It's oddly sweet like cough syrup - I think this might be from the red musk, honey and elemi. Wet: Yea, it's the Honeybucket honey again. I can't smell much else beside it on my skin. Dry: The honey is much less offensive (thank goodness), and now I can pick out the cedar incense, the patchouli, and the champaca. It's so much better dried.

    Time Does Not Bring Relief

ITI: It's dark and incense-laden, which I love. I can pick up a little of the violet and leather, which adds some complexity to the scent overall. Wet: The lavender is strong on my skin, overshadowing the incense a little, but enough enough so that I cannot make out the myrrh and copal. Dry: The lavender has softened and sweetened, as has the incense It reminds me of an apothecary shop with a breeze blowing though it while beeswax candles burn in the back. Delicious and soothing!
