    Dragon's Heart

Love dragon's blood scents and dragon's blood loves my skin but Dragon's Heart is a disappointment. In the bottle: Pure dragon's blood. Wet on the skin: Dragon's blood and musk. Dry-down: The musk fades away and I never do get currant or fig. All I get is dragon's blood (which I like the smell of) so, I'll stick with my bottle of Dragon's Blood when that's what I want to smell like. I was really hoping for a musky dragon's blood w/ fruity notes scent. Maybe I'll try this in a scent locket and see if the other notes come out to play.

    Sacred Whore of Babylon

After reading all the positive reviews of this scent, I added it to my order of imps with high hopes. Ugh! I sniff my wrists and think Cat Pee! Smokey cat pee with a dash of cinnamon. Not good.

    Bon Vivant

In the bottle: 7-UP? Really? Wet: Still 7-UP which must be the champagne and strawberries combining? Strange Dry: Okay, now I can smell the Champagne with a slightly fruity/sweet note beneath. The scent is effervescent, clean, and astringent. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long on my skin. Thoughts: At first I hated this scent but for some weird reason I kept coming back to it. The third time I circled back to Bon Vivant I wore it in a scent locket and I got whiffs of it all day. I finally realized, this scent calms me down! I kept coming back to it on days of high stress. Bon Vivant has really grown on me. I absolutely love it which is weird because I’m usually into dark, thick, oily, resinous scents. I rate this 5 out of 5 not only because of its pleasant scent but because of its benefits to my mental health. Bon Vivant indeed. I need a bottle of this…for medicinal purposes of course.

    Blood

Working through imps that I bought recently...next up, Blood. In the Bottle: Yep, that's dragon's blood! and a bit of cherry. Wet: Whoa, dragon's blood in a big way and the myrrh starts to come out. Promising Dry: Cherry is starting to appear. Not a big, juicy cherry. More of a dry cherry, if that makes any sense. Oh, and there's the clove. As it continues to dry the clove becomes stronger and there's a smokiness underneath. Clove cigarettes! mixed with dragons blood, myrrh, and just a hint of the cherry. This scent would rate a 5 if it wasn't for the fact that I taste clove in the back of my throat every time I take a whiff. So, I give this a 4.

    Bengal

In the bottle and wet on the skin this is all honey, as in a bit too much. On the dry down, The musk peeks out and blends nicely with the honey and CINNAMON comes out strong. After a while the cinnamon dies down quite a bit. Ginger makes a appearance. I can't detect any clove or pepper which is a shame because I was hoping for something really spicy. After a few more minutes this scent dies out almost completely. If I sniff really close to my wrist, I get beeswax with the faintest hint of cinnamon. Too bad, because all the notes in Bengal usually amp up on my skin so I don't understand where this went so wrong. It's a pleasant enough scent while it lasts but I'll stick with Morocco instead.

    The Red Rider

In the bottle this is all leather. Wet on my skin the scent becomes overwhelming...leather with a sharp tang (not sure what that's about?). As it dries it mellows out. I can smell worn leather, musk, and a bit of a woodsy note. I like . The best way I can describe this scent is a closet that's had leather stored in it for a long time and when you open the door the whole atmosphere of the closet is infused with leather and the mustiness of the enclosed area. I am pleasantly surprised and while I won't be buying a bottle, I'll certainly use up the imp.

    Embalming Fluid

This is a strange scent. I'll get a whiff of something clean, fresh, cooling...then a sickly sweetness. I like the freshness and lightness of the scent but the underlying sweetness is nauseating. If the sweetness didn't give me a headache, I'd love this scent. Just can't wear this one. Fortunately, my Mom can so I'll be giving the imp to her.

    Crib Girls

When I sniffed at the bottle I wasn't very hopeful. The scent was too sharp and too cloying. I couldn't discern any individual notes. Once it hit my skin a whole different story...lemon and cream. Woohoo, this was starting to look promising. dry, I wanted to eat my wrist as imagines of lemon meringue pie flashed past my eyes. That's exactly what this smells like...lemon meringue pie with undertones of spice (must be the cardamon). This one stays pretty close to the skin on me; not alot of throw. Despite that, I absolutely love Crib Girls. I'll be buying a bottle of this.

    Dragon's Milk

This scent is delectable...YUM! Right out of the imp this is sweet, really sweet. I smell dragon's blood dripping with honey. Dragon's blood tends to amp up on my skin, in a good way, and this is no exception. As it dries, the spiciness of the dragon's blood comes out along with the sweetness of honey. The scent takes some time to morph but eventually vanilla makes its appearance. It tempers the dragon's blood nicely and smells creamy. Absolutely in love with this scent. 5 stars! The upside (or downside, depending on perspective) is that I've added this to the enormous list of 5ml bottles I want to buy.

    Jabberwocky

Given the notes in this scent I wasn't sure I was going to like this but. as with many frimps, I am pleasantly surprised. In the imp: Eucalyptus and Pine! That'll clear out the old nostrils. Wet: Pine is STRONG. That's okay because I love pine. Dry: Oh, this is very nice. The eucalyptus and pine are present but toned down and mint comes out to tease me. Underneath is a slightly sweet, powdery scent. I don't usually like when a scent goes powdery on me but with the other notes in this perfume it works beautifully. This would be a nice scent for a warm, spring day. Fresh, crisp, and powdery all at the same time. I'd give this a 4 on a scale of 1-5.

Lips Full of Lust and Laughter

Right out of the bottle, I smell the musk, honey, and citrus. On the skin all the notes blend together beautifully but I can still detect individual notes. Everything is present: musk, honey, elemi, tangerine, and mint. The elemi adds a touch of pepper and ginger scent making the mint smell spicy. A strange scent but I love it! This is my second bottle from the Lady of Pain series and its two for two. Very happy I bought a bottle of this unsniffed.

    Our Lady of Pain

Oh, how I love this scent! In the bottle the scent is heavy on the floral with sharp, tangy citrus. Not sure where I'm getting citrus from since there doesn't appear to be any in the mix. As soon as it hit my skin the musk and patchouli came out. On the dry down this scent becomes musky, floral underscored by deep, rich (and slightly scorched?) earth. Not sure what is causing the scorched effect...maybe the tar? This is a brooding scent; perfect for overcast days. On a scale of 1-5 I give this a 5+. It has a decent throw. A dab is all you need.

    Lampades

In the bottle: Cranberries. I'm a little apprehensive because of the tartness. Wet: Immediately, the tartness starts to mellow out as the musk comes through. Yes, this is starting to smell promising. Dry: Oh My, I love this scent. The cranberries have softened up into a delicious fruity, slightly citrus scent mixed with a bit of floral. Underneath that the spices, ginger, and musk play one another. Can't stop huffing my wrist. I agree with some of the other reviews that this is a wonderful autumn scent. All the notes blend well together. I'm going to have to get a bottle.

    Bluebeard

In the bottle: Yikes! Violets, violets, and more violets. I've just been punched in the face with floral scent. Here's hoping the floral tones down on the skin. Wet: Holy Moly, the violets are even stronger now. I'm also getting a sickly, sweet scent. Dry: The violets are still dominant with lavender peeking out. I think that perhaps violets don't go with my chemistry and they're giving me a headache. Way too sweet and flowery. On my skin, this isn't a masculine scent at all. The scent didn't tone down which is a shame. On a scale of 1-5 I give this a 1. Glad I got the imp for free with an order. Time to scrub this scent off.

    Wrath

In the bottle: Spicy, slightly floral Wet: Dragon's blood with a hefty dose of pepper that literally clears out my nostrils. That's okay since I have a bit of sinus thing going on. My skin is starting to heat up from the cinnamon and pepper? Dry: Sweet and floral, I guess from the dragon's blood, blends beautifully with the cinnamon and pepper coming out strong. Clove peeks out from time to time. Conclusion: I never would have bought Wrath so I'm glad the lab set me an imp. Smells like wrath...aggressive and spicy. I need a bottle of this.
