This scent is aptly named...it smells Pale. On of the reviews said it was glassy and transparent. That describes it too. Everything about this scent is soft. Soft florals, soft mint, soft citrus, and even soft patchouli and vetiver. It's as if the edge had been taken off all the notes before being blended together. Like when you cut the crust off of toast before eating it. I've decided to test out all the Come and See scents but honestly didn't expect to like this scent because of the geranium, calla lily, and white musk. Geranium and white musk are usually notes of death for me. I really love this. Its soft, unobtrusive, and doesn't demand your attention like some scents do. Because its not a distracting scent I'm wondering how this would work as a meditation oil.

I've tried a boat load of Dragon's Blood scents, mostly because Dragon's Blood is my go to oil for rituals. This is without a doubt the BEST DB out there. Its powerful and commanding the way a good DB should be. This one also has longevity and tons of throw. Super happy I bought a bottle of this.

If Uncle Matt smells this way I want to go travelling with him. In the bottle this smelled like fruity candy. Wet, its figs dipped in chocolate. As this dries the fig dies down to almost nothing but now I'm getting quince and juicy pears. This is a strange scent because I'm getting something bubbly yet something creamy swirling around the fruit and chocolate. This is delicious I most certainly need a bottle or three.

Roses either amp up ridiculously (to where I get a headache) or go soapy. Carnations go rancid. I mean it literally smells like they are rotting So....Maiden shouldn't work on me but it does. When I got the freebie from the lab, I almost swapped it without testing because I was 100% certain it wouldn't work. During a moment of boredom I went ahead and tested it and I'm glad I did. Both carnation and rose smell fresh and lovely in Maiden. Why can't all rose/carnation notes smell this way.

I was scared to try this when I first got a frimp from the lab. It's been sitting in a box for awhile until I decided to brave it. Florals in general - Carnation especially - go rancid or way too strong on me. Well, Maiden is different. In the bottle: Beautiful lush roses. Then again they usually smell nice until they meet my skin. Wet: I get more lovely roses and a bit of tea. Dry: As this started to dry the carnations came out and threatened to spoil everything. I started getting that same sharp, racid ickiness that I usually get from carnations. After a half hour though, carnations fall far into the background. What's left is a wonderful rose scent that doesn't go wonky. This scent is really pretty.

In the bottle, this smells like walking into a Wilson's Leather store. At first the leather is really in your face but starts to tone down when almond and vanilla come out. It takes about an hour for the patchouli to make an appearance. When it does, it's a soft patchouli. If that makes any sense. So strange because this ends up smelling sweet and creamy coconut with earthy undertones. I love this scent. Wonder how it will age?

So, I ordered some imps and made sure to include Shub-Niggurath. Can't wait to get my order I hope the GC scent works...it's cheaper and I know it will be available. Thanks to everyone for their comments and suggestions. -

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! Sounds like Shub-Niggurath has the most votes. I like that it is GC and I can get an imp of it. I'll also be on the lookout for Gingerbread Poppet and Mother Ginger. I got hungry just reading the description for Mother Ginger. Sunshinedaisybliss - thanks for the additional forum ideas. I will be checking out the links. _________ So, thought I'd add an update in case anyone is interested in that Bedbug scent the way I am. After getting my imp of Shub I immediately applied it. Boy, there's ginger alright. But it wasn't quite right. It was missing honey. I rummaged around in my imp box and found O. I layered O with Shub and WOOHOO! Bedbugs, lots of them...on steroids. Thanks again everyone -

Recently, I got a frimp of Bedbugs which smells like ginger cookies. I absolutely adore it but it seems that I can't get a bottle of it. Anyone know of similar scents I can try? -
Smells like the Moravian ginger spice cookies I grew up with. Too bad it's only an imp. I'd buy a bottle.

In the imp: fresh, breezy, light Wet: Apparently, the gloom of the ocean floor smells like honeydew. Well, okay I like honeydew. Dry: Ooh! nice. The aquatic element is really coming out, a bit of ozone, and a nice ocean breeze. I can still smell the melon but it's buried underneath. This gets a 4.5 out of 5 rating. Not sure that it warrants a bottle. I'll have to test it again.

Scent is not what I expected but boy, does it smell terrific! Smells like fresh honeysuckle which is nice because actual honeysuckle notes go rancid on my skin. Under the honeysuckle...cool and woodsy. Spring is just around the corner and this will be perfect for that time of year.

In the bottle: Mostly robust, well aged, dry wine. I can also smell incense. Wet: Wow the wine really amps up and it is indeed bitter. Dry: Wine calms down and lets the incense move in. They dance beautifully together. There is something metallic underneath and I detect the faintest amount of brimstone. This is one of those scents I've been looking for...sexy sinister. The darkest blend I've run across to date. If you're not into 'evil' blends stay away from the Chapel. As for me...I couldn move in.

Irish Spring soap! A nice spring scent for a man but not for me. I am glad that the roses didn't get in my face the way they do with some many other rose scents.

In the Imp: Kumquat. Yum. Wet: A hybrid of Pebbles Cereal and orange sherbert. Still yum. Dry: Morphs quite a bit on my skin each stage of which is nice. Strong citrus notes that give way to a fruity tea scent then orange sherbert again. This finally settles down to where I can smell all the notes and I get a fruity, citrus tea with whiffs of pepper underneath. Sniffing this makes me want to break out my Bigelow Raspberry tea or maybe Celestial Seasonings Mandarine Spice.

Oh boy is this one a slow morpher. Really hated this scent at first. Bitter and angry - the spices are all very dry and intense. Wet on my skin, my nose was going into convulsions. half hour later and still the same story. I was mystified. All the notes should work on me. I was going to scrub it off but before I could I had a errand to run. About 3 hours later I started getting spicy whiffs of snake oil and remembered that I still had SS Viper on my wrist. When I went to take a sniff...WOOHOO! It had changed into a really lovely blend. The spices mellowed out quite a bit. Glad I didn't scrub this one off as I was going to swap it. Not anymore. This one's a keeper.

OMG! Heaven is a demon named Crowley. Now I've never read any of Neil Gaiman's books. I'm gonna have to put him on my list of authors to read. The only demon Crowley I know is from Supernatural. In the imp: Heavy on the leather. Hoping this doesn't turn out to be too masculine on me. Wet: Leather and musk. Also, something slighly snake oil-ish. Dry: Morphs quite a bit but still retains the leather and musk. Earth, lemon, and the creamy goodness of vanilla swirl around. This is a unisex scent with moderate throw. Thank you, Crowley, for not ending up masculine. Rating: 5+ out of 5. Got to get a bottle.

I know better than to try scents with floral notes but hadn't tried anything with Iris or orange blossom and hoped that the sugared cream note would mellow out the florals. This is the most disgusting BPAL I've tried. Sickly sweet and intensely bitter all at once. Add to that rotting wood underneath...Huh? The only scent that's ever made me feel like I want to throw up. Worse yet, I can't scrub my wrists hard enough to get the stink off.

I'm on a mission to try every scent with Dragon's blood since discovering it's my number one note. With dragon's blood, vetiver, and spices, I know this scent will work for me. In the bottle: Dragon's blood and bitter herbs. Wet: HELLO Cinnamon! My wrists are heating up big time. Dry: Cinnamon is still a top note but its quieted down somewhat. DB comes out next followed by a base of earthiness. This is beautiful. I am so pleased I received a frimp.

This is one of those scents that could have gone either way for me. Ozone, currants, and resin all work with my chemistry. White musk tends to get wonky. I feel iffy about the lavender since floral notes go sickly sweet. Unfortunately, this went the wrong way This smells like cheap cologne, ugh. The notes my skin adores are nonexistent. All I smell is nauseatingly sweet powder and I need to scrub my wrists.

This scent is mesmerizing! Tiresias is so hard for me to pin down. In the bottle I get caramel and something smokey. Could the smokiness be the tobacco? Wet: The currants spring up out of hiding yet there is something about the scent that is dark. That's the only way I know to describe it. Dry: The notes blend so well together. The scent is so very evocative. Its dark. brooding, smokey, spicy but there is something soft and sweet just beneath peeking out. Its got nice throw and longevity. Tiresias is now on my top 10 list.

Wet: Sugary tea. Not a scent I would normally go for but it is nice. Dry: OMG! This scent is amazing. Seemingly clean and fresh but with something dirty and deceptive underneath. Dorian is the right name for this scent. Definitely masculine...a sexy gentleman's scent. Too bad I'm not a guy because this rates at a 5 out of 5. Have to get my man to try this. I promise to attack him if he does.

In the bottle: Wine and cake. Wet: Wine really comes out and mingles nicely with sweet cakes. I smell almond too. Dry: I can detect all the notes individually and yet they blend so nicely together Buttery, spicy, honey cakes with wine underneath. I am in love with this scent. Need to save up for a bottle.

Right out of the bottle this smells very floral. I'm not good at individual floral scents but I think it's jasmine that I'm smelling. Not very hopeful since florals don't usually like me. Wet: Yep, Jasmine and sharp greenery. For some reason this reminds me of the South. Ah, thank goodness; moss and dirt are coming out. Dry: This is everything that the description says it is. Dirty, mossy florals with a touch of herbs and incense. I could swear there is mint present because of the way it cools off and clears out my nose. I think I've found a floral scent that works on me. Yeah!

In the bottle: Juicy blackberries, something green underneath. Wet: Sweet, yummy blackberries. The sweetness is mellowed out a bit by sage. Nice combo. Dry: This one morphs quite a bit on my skin. Musky, tart blackberries...then Arizona green tea...then blackberry tea...then soapy...finally the scent settles down to a slightly sweet, slightly tart berry mix with a smidge of greenery. Didn't think I'd like this scent but I do. I'll use up the imp. Not sure about a bottle. Have to test it out a bit more, maybe in a scent locket, to make a final decision.
