sea of glass at first: the lab threw this in with my order. wow. this smells like...really clean air. it's white and pure. lovely. i think this will be great for summer. on: just very, very clean. i think i smell a bit of lemon, but maybe that's some ozone.. hmmm...maybe some sort of flower, too. either way, this is very pure and peaceful, and i really like it. 1 hour later: gorgeous. this is so clean and fresh. i'm so glad i tried this one out. it's floral, but understatedly so. 2 hours later: soft and beautiful. there's a bit of sweetness coming out. this is refreshing and comforting. overall: i ADORE this! i'm so glad the lab included this in my order. if i use up my imp by the time spring rolls around, i'll be buying a bottle for the summer.

flower moon at first: a soft, unassuming bouquet. i can pick out the violet, but that's all. wonderful. on: so beautiful. there's definitely lotus in here, but lots of other flowers, too. a gorgeous bouquet. 1 hour later: powdery and floral. i can't pick any notes out, but it's nice. 1.5 hours later: this has turned soapy. overall: some florals just go soapy and boring on me and this is one of them.

whip at first: this lab included this as an extra. i mostly smell a very wet rose, with just the slightest hint of leather. on: super floral, which i wasn't expecting. definitely very pretty. i'm just getting a gorgeous rose. very green and wet. 2.5 hours later: the rose is softer now and drier. there's just a hint of leather behind it. 4 hours later: a very soft rose. the leather is gone. overall: i really like this. i wish the leather were a little more pronounced, but i'd rather have too little leather than too much. a definite keeper.

jezebel at first: holy crap! this is beautiful. a perfect mix of honey, rose, and orange blossom, with just a touch of sandalwood. on: very heavy on the honey. this is worrying me a bit. however, there's something else going on. something like orange rind. weird. 15 minutes later: my skin is amping up the honey to a ridiculous degree. half an hour later: i cannot deal with this. it's just...so heady. i had to wash it off. 1 hour later: even though i tried to wash this off, i can still smell the honey. it just won't go away. 5 hours later: i've washed my hands 3 times so far and still...honey. go away, honey! go away! overall: obviously, not for me. i wonder if i'll ever be able to get this off of me...

moscow at first: wow. this is definitely bold. i was expecting something a bit sweeter, but this is just a big bunch of roses, jasmine, and lilies to my nose. on: very interesting. i get the brightness of the tangerine and the softness of the musk, with a diverse floral bouquet behind it. 1.5 hours later: a bit sweet and just generally floral. i can't really pick any notes out. overall: if this stayed the way it smells when wet, i'd probably keep it, but i don't need another floral blend.

at first: i'm getting a very warm, golden scent. an interesting blend of sweetness from the fig and honey and the earthiness of the patchouli. not quite sure about this one. on: weird. this is...odd on me. i don't think the patchouli, which i normally love, is playing well with the other notes. it just seems "off" to my nose. i'll have to let it settle down for a while. 2 hours later: sweeter. nice, but...that's about all. the ylang ylang is a nice touch, though. overall: nice, but not really me.

scarecrow at first: very masculine. i think i get a hint of straw or hay, along with something that might be burning or burnt. on: this is so beautiful. almost a bit sweet, but mostly very dry. gorgeous! 2.5 hours later: lighter and even drier. i can't describe why this is so beautiful to me. it's very calming and comforting. 4 hours later: dustier and not as sweet. very lovely. overall: i adore this! i don't know if it will turn out to be bottle-worthy, but i'm definitely keeping my imp.

silentium amoris at first: oh, wow. this is beautiful. definitely rose and ylang ylang. on: so beautiful. i adore beth's rose. the ylang ylang gives the oil an interesting touch, but it's mostly rose on me. 1 hour later: soapy, which isn't good. 2 hours later: just soap. overall: sigh...i hate it when good blends end up soapy on me. oh, well...hopefully, someone else will enjoy this.

hunger at first: this was a free imp from the lab. it's very sharp to my nose, with the narcissus and orange blossoms taking over. not sure i'll like this one. on: weird. i don't think that orange blossom and i get along very well. it's warm, and very heavy. there's a bit of vanilla to it, which is nice. hopefully, this will calm down a little. 1 hour later: this is...distracting. i think it's the orange blossom. it's nice, but...uncomfortable somehow. 2.5 hours later: softer and sweeter, but not something i would reach for. overall: this gets nicer as i wear it, but i don't like the way it makes me feel until it gets to that point. i don't know what it is, but something in it, possibly the orange blossom, makes me feel all jumpy.

wanton at first: thick, but clean, too. i smell sandalwood and patchouli. on: this smells like rose soap or bubble bath. that's all. i don't even get a hint of the other notes. half an hour later: less overtly rosy. nice, but...just nice. 2 hours later: powdery and a bit soapy. overall: this just isn't for me. off to the swap pile it goes.

naked singularity at first: this smells a bit nutty and a bit woodsy to me. not something i'd usually like. on: definitely nutty and musky. interesting. i'm so glad the wood scent i got at first went away. 2 hours later: this is soooo nutty. it's really incredible. 3 hours later: still mostly nutty, but with the lightest hint of musk to it. overall: i don't know if i'd get this if it were offered on the bpal site, but i'm definitely glad i got to try it.

venom at first: i received this as an extra with my order. it's really hard to pick out the notes. i smell a bit of jasmine, but can't really pick out any of the other notes. on: very warm and bright. i can definitely smell the berries and the lime, but everything else blends really well. 1 hour later: still warm, but more floral. however, the lime is still surprisingly strong. 2 hours later: sharper. almost soapy. there's still a nice, warm scent underneath. 3.5 hours later: sweeter, but still with a sharp edge to it. overall: this is interesting, but definitely not something i would wear.

kingsport at first: very wet and fresh. on: amazing. seriously, i adore this. salty and very wet. there's a slight ozone-y tang, but not too much. wonderful. 1.5 hours later: i'm almost getting something a bit citrussy, but that might just be the ozone. this is still very refreshing. lovely! 4 hours later: light and wonderful. refreshing and still with that tang and saltiness. overall: i adore this! i'm so glad i have an imp.

ace of hearts at first: light, white, and floral. on: sweet lotus and roses. 1 hours later: very light. not quite as sweet. still very, very white. 5 hours later: powdery and a bit soapy. soft. overall: this is...ok, but i have other rose and lotus scents that i like more.

queen of clubs at first: sweet and...fruity? however, there's something odd about this. maybe some sort of nut? on: i love part of this (probably the fruity / rose / vanilla scent), but...the myrrh and "earthy" notes are weirding me out. 1 hour later: very perfumey. soapy and sharp. not good at all. 2 hours later: softer, but still perfumey. overall: this just didn't work on me.

king of clubs at first: very earthy and damp. a bit sweet. on: lots of woods and something slightly sweet. way too earthy for me, i think. 1.5 hours later: not as strong, but sharp. there are soft woods underneath. 4 hours later: sweeter, but still lots of woods. overall: far too earthy for me.

elegba at first: sweet. this reminds me of some sort of candy. on: gorgeous. very heavy and lush. it's mostly coconut and rum, and is kind of buttery. 2 hours later: a teensy bit smoky, but mostly that buttery coconut with a dash of rum. 4 hours later: very, very soft. sweet and creamy. 9 hours later: dusty. the tobacco is most prevalent, with the coconut and rum hiding in the background. lovely. overall: i really like this a lot. i probably wouldn't get myself a bottle, but i'm definitely going to enjoy using up what i have.

milk moon at first: a bit sour. i'm afraid of what this will smell like on. on: sweet, milky, light, and creamy. i think i get a hint of mint, too. 1 hour later: still sweet, creamy, and minty. this is very comforting and lovely. 5 hours later: warm, sweet, and creamy. still comforting, but the mint is more in the background. 6 hours later: i still love this! overall: although i really like this, i'm glad i didn't get a bottle because i don't think i'll reach for it often. i'm really happy that i have an imp of it.

i got bottle CDXCVIII (498). at first: red! pomegranate and berries. fabulous! on: amazing. this is still fruity, but there/s a softness there, too. i might be smelling a light musk or sandalwood. this is gorgeous. 15 minutes later: although this is nothing like my chaos theory from the first round (XI) at first, it's drying down a lot like it. powdery and gorgeous! 1 hour later: lovely. soft and powdery, with a hint of dried berries. 1.5 hours later: powdery and wonderful. overall: this was a real morpher on me. i adore it. i really can't believe that it's so similar to my first chaos theory.

at first: the lab included this as a free imp in my order. i can definitely smell the patchouli, but i don't think i like it when combined with ginger. on: very strong. definitely ginger and patchouli. i like it much more on than in the vial. 1 hour later: this is really strong on me. i love patchouli, and this definitely is patchouli i'm smelling. the ginger gives it an interesting edge. 2 hours later: this is sweeter on me now, but still gorgeous. overall: i really didn't think i'd like this, but i adore it! i'm definitely keeping my imp.

at first: the lab included this as an extra. it just smells acrid to me, unfortunately. on: wow...the geranium and mandarin are really strong. however, the dragon's blood is holding them together. i'm not getting the black currant. it smells almost ashy to my nose, which makes no sense when i think of the individual notes i'm smelling. 1 hour later: very floral and pretty. a bit sweet, but mostlyl just floral. 2 hours later: this is very pretty, but almost metallic on me right now. overall: i'm not sure about this one at all. i didn't think i'd like it, but i do. however, i can't see myself reaching for it, so...off it goes.

at first: this was a freebie from the lab. i think i'm smelling patchouli, but it might be something else because there is a lot going on here. on: lots and lots of woods. i don't know about this. 1 hour later: woods and flowers. nice, but not me. 2 hours later: very warm. this is pretty, but i can't pick out any of the notes. overall: this is ok, but i dont' tend to go for oils with a lot of woods in them very often.

at first: i can smell the mints, cardamon, and lemon, and the anise comes out later. very interesting. on: very interesting. i can definitely pick up the anise and mints. 1 hour later: very light. i can smell a bit of the lemon and mint. 2 hours later: still very light, but holding on. overall: this is ok, but i have enough minty oils to satisfy that urge.

at first: the lab included this as an extra. it's a heavy floral, but not thick. on: i can barely smell this. it's definitely a soft blend, with beautiful flowers and greenery. 1 hour later: very light and soft. comforting. i can just barely smell some flowers. 2 hours later: slightly sweet, but mostly gone. overall: this was nice, but not someting i'd grab often.

at first: ths lab tossed this in as an extra in my order. a slightly sweet, almost tart floral. beautiful. this is very light and fresh, something that would work well on hot days. on: a bit biting, but definitely fresh. very interesting. cool, with a touch of sweetness 1 hour later: darker and almost woodsy. not as pretty and fresh as it was at first. 2 hours later: very sweet. weird...it's really changed on me. it's almost syrupy. i still smell woods and some flowers. overall: this is ok, but not me.
