at first: this was a freebie from the lab. a fresh, sweet floral, with something dark underneath. on: i can smell the plum and gardenia, and the lilac is there, too. the berries round out the sweetness. very nice. 1.5 hours later: vaguely floral, with a not-too-sweet plum undertone. very nice. 2 hours later: just very pretty. still a vague scent, though. sweet, but not really. i really like this. overall: i've always been interested in the stories about elizabeth bathory, so i'm glad this ended up working on me. it's just a very nice scent on me, and the flowers don't go soapy, which is always a plus.

at first: the lab included this as a freebie in my last order. this smells like maraschino cherries (which i'm assuming is how my nose detects almond) with some wood underneath. weird. on: much more almond-like. i'm mostly getting sweetness, nothing else. 1 hour later: i think all i'm smelling is oakmoss now. it's ok, but...not really me. 4 hours later: just very soft. overall: my skin just brought out the oakmoss too much.

sloth at first: the lab included this as an extra and, well, this smells like two things that i really don't like: myrrh and vetiver. it doesn't look good. on: wow. i don't like this at all. heavy and dark and...not nice. not nice at all. 1.5 hours later: this stuff is really strong. it's just wafting around me. it's still heavy and dark, but with a tinge of sweetness. definitely nicer than when i first put it on. 2 hours later: lighter and not as sweet. ok. 5 hours later: much nicer. heavy and sweet, but not something i could see myself reaching for often. overall: this seemed to make my afternoon drag big time. the scent itself is ok on me eventually, but not nice at all at first. not one for me.

at first: the lab included this in my order. it's very odd. i can smell the fir and cumin, along with the orange blossom. i don't think i'll like this. on: this is really strong. all of the notes seem to be fighting with each other. i can pick out the fir, mint, musk, clove, cumin, and orange blossom. this is one crazy scent. 1 hour later: this has calmed down a little, but is still really strong. it's definitely masculine. i think that the musk, fir, and mint are strongest right now. 1.5 hours later: still strong. pungent. overall: this is, clearly, not me.

at first: this was a freebie in my order. it's grassy, but with something else, too. it's hard to pick out any specific notes. on: light and floral. pretty and almost sweet. very fresh. damp, but not humid. more like the way the air smells right at dawn during a cool morning in the summer. i like this a lot. 1 hour later: soft and a bit sweeter. i still can't pick out any notes. this is warmer than when i first put it on. 2 hours later: powdery and sweet, with a hint of something more sour underneath. 3 hours later: much lighter. still nice. overall: this is a great scent for when i don't want my perfume to be too prominent. i'll keep my imp, but i'm not sure if i'll get a bottle.

at first: at first i thought i liked the smell of this (mimosa and orange blossom), but i don't think i like the neroli and bergamot in it. on: i really don't like this. i don't know if i'm getting wood or some weird flower. 1 hour later: floral and dark. this is really masculine on me, but not in a conventional, cologne kind of way. 3 hours later: that odd floral. overall: this simply is not me.

at first: wow. i love this. so fruity and juicy. tropical and sexy. on: very light and fresh. i'm smelling something that reminds me of...bath and body works apple body spray. weird. 15 minutes later: this is STRONG! it's just everywhere. my nose is actually a little itchy. it smells like crisp apples and something almost soapy, but not quite. i think that may be the cherry blossoms. 2 hours later: this is even stronger now. too strong. my skin is amping the hell out of the cherry blossom. blah. it just smells sharp to me. 4.5 hours later: sweeter and more powdery. nice, but not extraordinary. overall: i just can't deal with what my skin does to this one.

at first: definitely cinnamon. possibly with some sort of fruit. on: definitely fruit and some sort of berry. it reminds me of some sort of muffin or something. overall: this is very nice, but i tend to react badly to cinnamon blends. i could see myself buying this at some point for use in my oil burner.
-
at first: leathery. on: definitely leather, but with some smoke. overall: this is ok, but i like the soft, brown leather of dead man's hand better. however, if i was looking for something smokier, i might pick this up.
-
at first: this smells...gross to me. i can't really pick out the notes. on: this is much better on. there's a spicyness to this, but i think that's from carnations. overall: this is a nice oil. very pretty and gentle. there's a bit of honey to this that makes me think of alice.
-
at first: definitely a gorgeous, soft rose. on: something soft with the rose. maybe sandalwood. overall: i really like this, but i definitely don't need any more rose scents.
-
at first: oddly fruity, with a hint of cedar. on: cedar, definitely. overall: cedar is my nemesis, so this is not the oil for me.
-
at first: this smells like root beer. woo hoo! on: i love this. it's almost bubbly. i think it may be sassafras. overall: this is really lovely. i might actually buy a bottle of this at some point.
-
at first: a strong, heavy floral. on: there's a hint of sweetness coming out, but also something slightly herbal. i think there's something incense-y to it, too. overall: this is ok, just not my type of scent.
-
at first: juicy and bright. very nice. on: really lovely. there's sweet almonds and some other, deeper notes, possibly woods. overall: this is pretty, but not something i'd wear.
-
at first: cinnamon, but...not foody. on: definitely cinnamon. there's some pine underneath. then, it sweetens up a bit. overall: this is very interesting. i could see myself buying this to burn in an oil burner.
-
at first: a nice, wet floral. on: this is a simple, white floral. it still has that aquatic feel underneath. overall: this is nice, although not quite as watery as i thought it would be.
-
at first: all i smell is pine. fabulous. very xmas-y. on: pine! lots and lots of pine! wonderful. almost icy in its sharpness. half an hour later: still the same strong, crisp, biting pine. 1 hour later: i can't believe this isn't going funny on me. still pure pine. 4 hours later: this is much, much softer now. overall: i'm so excited about this one because the pine didn't get weird on me. really wonderful and crisp

succor at first: this reminds me of something. not sure what. thin and somewhat salty. on: salty and vaguely smoky. half an hour later: still smoky, but not quite as salty. warm and comforting. this isn't something i would usually like, but it is very calming. 1 hour later: still that smoky scent. i adore this. it's very relaxing and simple. 2 hours later: lighter, but still the same. overall: this is pretty much the same from when i put it on until a few hours later. i like its consistency. it's different, but simple. it's definitely calming.
-
gomorrah at first: very dark. almost sweet, but not quite. it's very masculine to my nose. on: pretty, but i can't seem to pick out any notes. i'm mostly getting herbs. 1 hour later: mostly herbs with a hint of fig and date. 2 hours later: very, very dark. maybe a bit too dark for me. overall: i'm not sure about this one. it's warm, but dark. i'll probably keep it around for a while, at least, since it may be good for fall or winter.
-
graveyard dirt at first: this is dirt alright. a bit too biting for me, i think. on: this is dirt alright. fresh, black dirt. very, very strong. 1 hour later: this is nowhere near as strong as it was at first. 2 hours later: i can barely smell this now. overall: like dead man's hand, i really think that this will great for layering. i'm glad that it gets softer right away, since it's way to intense for me at first.
-
13 at first: this smells amazing. i'm getting a cocoa butter sort of scent, with some soft citrus notes. it's very creamy and soft. on: gorgeous. definitely cocoa butter and some soft citrus. 1 hour later: sweeter, but not foody. very nice. 2 hours later: even sweeter. i think i'm mostly getting the white chocolate with a hint of tea. beautiful. 3 hours later: sweeter and more lush. i really like this. 4 hours later: still soft, sweet, and lush. overall: this is a very comforting, soft scent. it manages to avoid being foody, which i was pretty surprised about. i can see myself wearing this a lot.
-
at first: i'm smelling a single, sweet flower. on: lovely. still that one flower. very beautiful. half an hour later: i think that this is ylang ylang. it's lovely. 1.5 hours later: softer, but still beautiful. overall: this is just gorgeous. simple, but gorgeous.
-
lustration at first: some sort of citrus and...something darker. maybe eucalyptus, too. on: this smells fantastically fruity. i think i may be smelling grapefruit. yum! 1 hour later: softer, and with some sort of foody spice like the one i get in moxie. 3 hours later: i think this might be lemon. the other reviewers are right about the honey-lemon cough drop comparison. 3.5 hours later: still nice. refreshing and simple. overall: i really like this and i'll definitely enjoy using it.

detox at first: LIME!!! actually, sweeter than lime. more like lime-flavored life-saver. on: wow, this is sharp. like cutting into a fresh, juicy lime. 1 hour later: barely there. there's only the slightest hint if i sniff my wrists. overall: this is definitely something that i'll have to reapply often, but that's ok. i really like it while it lasts.
